The people cheered when Saddam Hussein was fallen, but they are not cheering today. What come's next is a state of disorder, and this can go in many ways. Israel is clearly involved to some extent with HTS. Ibrahim Kalin also met with Ronen Brar of Shin Bet just last month, so I would speculate what is happening today was discussed then.

What comes next is uncertain.

I have also encountered reports that this person on another occasion stated to media that there is information-sharing with HTS, but haven't been able to find a confirming report.

Good for Syria 🇸🇾 man! Always happy when the will of the people get what they want in their country. They might not choose a government the likes of what I'd choose, but I'm proud of the resistant for deposing of a government that terrorized their own people.

That said, anything that damages Russia and their influence in the world is a win for me!
Lets just re-iterate joy for the grand liberations as well of Libya, Iraq, and Egypt the democratic paradises they are today. As well let us re-iterate discontent over the failed liberation of Afghanistan, the hell-hole it is today.

BIG: Syrian rebels: "Heads of intelligence branches in Damascus have finalized arrangements with us to take control of the capital."

13 years of persecution and and bloody war ended with a 13-day operation.
Karma bro, this is karma.... all the blood of his people that he and his father spilled within the last 30-40 years have come back to haunt him

Israel will likely start to invade Syria rn with the excuse of anti-terror operation..... soon, Israel will start to annex new lands in line with their greater Israel project. It will be interesting to see how the rebels will act to that

The Arabs have been continuing a behavioral pattern of collaborating with westerners to overthrow their governments which they are dissatisfied for one reason or another (for reasons real or imagined). This begins with the revolt against the Ottomans and has continued through all the regime changes over the years, and not once has it led to a better situation. The precedent is not good, but perhaps in the realm of anything being possible, this time will be different.

As Asena also mentioned here (and Sirvan) , that Israeli-Kurdish corridor is a real possibility. If the Turkish government cut deals with the Israeli's in regards to the PKK/SDF, time will tell if they are followed through.

The next period will be challenging for Turkey; I truly hope that the Turkish govt has plans prepared on what path will they take in the future. The main issue to discuss is whether the rebels will side with Turkey in its fight against the SDF/PKK/YPG or will they backstab Erdogan after he aided them in the toppling of Assad.....Moreover, there are already rumors that Israel hast started annexing Syrian lands close to the Golan heights

Turkey should try and capture Manbij ASAP but it seems that the TSK and SNA are moving at a snail's pace to avoid being ambushed from the back through the extensive PKK-tunnel networks

IMO, a possible course of action would be to take Manbij quickly and then mount an offensive onto Raqqa. If Raqqa falls, Ain Issa will eventually fall with a two-way attack and this will leave Kobani isolated from remaining PKK-controlled lands. With the fall of Kobani, Qamishli should then be placed on the table and then the remaining PKK territories will be easier

How will Turkey play its cards in the upcoming period will be interesting to see

HTS is a trouble for us

yes, but our war is going to last another 100 years. There is only forward now. Turkish army must expand her footprint outwards in all directions. We are not strong enough to stop a coalition of euro-origin powers from balkanising these countries, but we are strong enough in staking a claim to many parts of the region.

A few years ago it was about expanding the Kurdish/PKK corridor across the north of syria and eventually across hatay. Now the Kurdish corridor is about expanding it south into Isreal. Maybe in a few years time it will be about trying to expand it south across Iraq. All that matters is that we keep expanding to a point where games in the region will become meaningless.

A week ago Assad, Iran, Russia, USA, and PKK were all against us in Syria. A week later its just the USA/PKK who is against us.

But if i were in charge, the moment the rebel forces have stabilised the situation meaning their gains cannot be overturned, the Turkish military should move on the north. No need for a full assualt, just enough to create pressure for the PKK to capitulate and enough pressure to give the arabs and muslims kurds under their dominion the drive to revolt against the american controlled coalition of the north.

şimdimi aklına geldi mi ?? artık geç oldu. when i told you all of you were laughing at me and masturbating at HTS's victories one of you even called suspicious and accused me of lobbying for the parties and countries that is against our interest @Huelague and yes im talking to you

__-syria-2024-jpg.72500

remember the time when americans shot down our drone ?? we cant directly attack YPG but we can eject them via water crisis and bombing their oil field as well as cutting them from mediterranean. we cant take land from YPG since americans are backing them but we can take land from assad what should we have done was to took all the land west of the river either via negations or military means. as you can see in the map above manbij was important for us for 2 reasons

1) when we go south from west side of the river all the way to iraqi border, manbij was on our way and made our logistical line longer

2) it was a threat for our supply lines PKK could easily launch an attack and cut it hence halt our advanced

geirby7xkaaz4bv-jpg.72523

now YPG took all the land west of the river even if we take manbij it wont change anything now. aferin size 31 çekin HTŞ'ye.

edit : and with inaction you allowed PKK to take even more oil and gas field and make them financially even more stronger. my strategy was to put financial and water crisis pressure on them and convince americans that it is too expensive to create kurdistan especially with right type of propaganda the right wingers in US would start asking why their tax payer dollars is going to YPG. now YPG is even more richer well done

devlet bahçeli : many thing will change in future i hop Turkey will not change

with recent events, that statement bring shiver to my spine
