NEW/IMPORTANT — PKK/YPG terrorist organization leader Mazlum Abdi: “We hope the US will apply sufficient political pressure to stop these attacks on our regions.” “The pressure applied so far is not enough.”
“(HTS's relations with Turkey and İbrahim Kalın's visit to Damascus) Of course it worries us.”
“Turkey will push the new administration in Damascus to serve its own interests in Syria, and these interests are against us.”
“We want to discuss our place in the new order in Syria by sending a delegation to Damascus.”
“Our political structure should also be represented in the new government. Our forces should be part of Syria’s new army.”
“The US should help us to include the Autonomous Administration in the political process in post-Assad Syria.”
“What we want in Syria is a decentralized form of government. There is no need for a central power to govern the entire country.”
“The US presence here is crucial for stability and security, as well as the protection of our people.”
“The opposition is also attacking Kobani with the Tishrin Dam, they have driven us out of Manbij. Despite the ceasefire, UAV and howitzer attacks continue.” -WSJ-

The interim government is making a big mistake. No, the Russians will stay in their bases and watch the Israeli aggression, as they have not interfered before. If the Russians maintain the same privileges, the Tartus base will allow Russia to continue its covert operations inside Syria, where some paramilitary organizations will continue to transport mercenaries and weapons to Africa, over Syria.

They could have made the military bases available only for joint use by a group of countries willing to support Syria, such as the 'Friends of Syria', or better yet, they could have been made available to a 'temporary' UN peacekeeping force until the Syrian state builds up its air force and navy. Keeping these bases completely inactive and maintaining the Russian presence in them will not make a daramtic difference in terms of Israeli aggression, but will be the kiss of life to keep Russia's ambitions in Syria alive. I would go further and say that this nonsense idea is most likely mediated by the Turkish side.

Sadly at this time Syrians have no power over the russian, they can’t start a new war with someone who owns aircrafts and missile power. This also might give an opportunity to pro Assad to rise and rearm them selfs, same goes to Israel aggression issue.

At this time Syrians will suck it and focus on rebuilding a 80% of Syria, otherwise it will be 0%

Our esteemed American colleague @blackjack assures us that the Russians have not escaped and says that this is how they conduct patrols :)

«Russian troops in Syria have broken out of the encirclement of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham* militants and are heading towards key bases», - writes the Russian military publication Reporter.

Minister Fidan:

"The advance of the opposition had to be bloodless. We spoke with Russia and Iran. The Russians and the Iranians saw that it no longer made sense. We made it very clear. The person they had invested in was no longer someone worth investing in. They needed to turn back from more damage. We told the Russians not to bomb civilian settlements.

The operation advanced with the opposition's remarkable courage and determination. We ensured that the operation remained bloodless by continuing negotiations with the two key actors here, Russia and Iran, to minimize casualties."

Interesting post about Israel:

...
"Without the blows you inflicted on Hezbollah and Iran, we could not free Syria," Masri said. "Thank you, Israel. This is an Israeli victory, our brothers and neighbors."

He added that he wished "a peace of love and respect" between Israelis and Syrians. "This is a morning of victory!"

"We will build peace with you," he said regarding the future between the countries.
...

And this one:

Former Mossad agent Mordechai Kedar gives HTS: “I am in contact with senior figures of HTS; they are good friends of Israel and should be supported! HTS plans to open Israeli embassies in Damascus and Beirut, and also open a Syrian embassy in Jerusalem. Israel is considered a solution for them, not a problem!”

Come on dude...every kind of sarcasm has its own limits.

Allowing Russia to keep the two military bases would be a huge mistake for the new Syrian government that would have dire long term consequences for the country.

If Syria wants to have a chance at a better future, it must force the Russians to leave and build good ties with Israel. This is the only way they will be able to have good relations with the West and attract foreign investment, which is vital for a country to achieve development.

Syria needs to get out of the sanctions lists, and to do this it needs the green light from the US (which is dependent on having good relations with Israel). Getting rid of the Russian bases would also help greatly, because Russian military allies are usually together on sanctions lists.

There is zero benefit for Syria in keeping the Russian bases. Russia will never help them to defend against aggression from any regional power, no matter if it is Israel, Turkey, Iran or the US. So it makes no sense to allow them to stay, just so that they can continue their terrorist activities in Africa.

Being a friend of Russia is the easiest way to guarantee that you remain a poor and undeveloped country.

"Meeting on the road with a column of militants: Russian patrols continue to monitor the situation in the zones of responsibility in Syria" - RVvoenkor"
Ha-ha-ha! Where do you see surveillance? This is an escape. The Russians are running at maximum speed - this is what we see on the video.
I do not understand Arabic, but, apparently, the Syrians are shouting: "Russians, you will not escape anywhere. We will come for you to Moscow and will follow you! You, Russians, will answer for all the atrocities you have committed in Syria! Allahu Akbar!":)
Its basically HTS vs SDF I am assuming both sides will continue to weaken and deplete in forces, Russia on the other hand according to Zelensky stated a week ago that there are 800k Russians in Ukraine. If the war suddenly does end it would be a slow difficult process to transition back from the war economy and maybe Syria could be a place to blow off some steam(with all the extra soldiers, firepower they have with equipment) for all we know like what happened 8 years ago(we all know the SAA didnt do all the work) if Iran and Iraq allow their forces to move into Syria.

I don't know what kind of predicament Turkey put themselves into, but Israel and the US are bombing the HTS unless Turkey doesn't want to support them anymore?
Or do you think that 10 million Syrian refugees will forget the endless and inhumane Russian bombings?!
I don't think social media particularly Twitter is showing the HTS that Turkey is supporting in a positive light, they are portraying them like they are the Mexican cartel if you get the dark joke.
