OPM itself is more of a collection of armed gangs rather than one structuralized hierarchy, with each of those gangs have their own agenda.

I mean, if its just a bunch of armed people, its to much take the live of our soldier.

A stray bullet can still kill, which is why TNI and PERBAKIN training always emphasis of pointing the rifle upward during marching. This to avoid ricocheting bullet if accidental discharge should occur.

Wearing more armour isn't a viable option in tropical jungle environment due to their weight and risk of getting heat stroke. Moreover, jungle environment provide near impenetrable concealment even against multi spectral sensor (wet tree tend to disperse most of the radiated heat). And any sales rep here claiming that their system / platform could do better is always welcomed to join the combat patrol in Papua (I'm betting they will come out with all kind of excuse if confronted with such request)

Completely worrysome, even the guard didnt have the chance to fight back. Even to fire some bullet it will be double edge sword for us. This isnt a bunch of uncondinated oeration, this is purely planned and has long aim.

To be honest ... Our Covert ops history in the recent years are kind of " discouraging " to say the least . There is a downtrend in " sophistication " of operation planning and get cruder and cruder by the implementation ... So i rather believe in military ops as of right now ...


And now i'm starting to see some of black avanza's driver silhoutte by pos ronda pretend to buy some cigs in the warung beside it for smoking/profilling inside their air conditioned car...

Wipe out terorrist "pentolan" will make a detterence effect.

We had too litle combat oriented BKO-forces in the region . Between bloated non combat related personel and Transporting problem it creates too much of time deployment . Too much time in the zone created much of discipline issues aside from fatigues . Not to mention corps rivalries are excarbating the problem there . Lack of coordination who were easily exploited by KKB . I hope i could advocating some quick suggestion for this but truth to be told we had serrious issue in our forces structural build up along with tactical resources scarcity add up in the mix .
Just for easing logistical footprint alone we ought to have to 2 sq of caracal class combat ready helis at minimum in the region and yet .... ??
I just hope our boys could manage to be more creative more than usual during this troubled time ...

Those 150 were nothing but a tip of an iceberg . Between them expect atleast 10 midlemen , 5 pure informant and another 20 who offer nothing but courage under the firebreath ....yeah , liqour was the main motivator for the papuans . So , we are basically taalking about mob power here .
