When you look at the history of ejection seats even Romania made ejection seats at some point in time. Thinking Türkiye won't be able to make ejection seats is absurd. It may not be 100% up to par but it can be 85% at least for an initial breed. Going into the era of optionally manned fighters probably the importance of a seat is less and less as so long as the plane is in one piece it will fly you back safe thus reducing the likelihood of needing one to a small level. Japanese pilots flown into certain death, our pilots can fly into a small possibility in pride no problem.

Pilots are more important than the 150 million aircraft, you are speaking literal nonsense.

How many pilots, one? If the pilot will not take risk his life for the mission maybe it is time for him to find a desk job.

You know your way of thinking doesnt make any sense rather looks like insanity?
How long does it take to train a combat pilot and im not talking about just the 2 years( + experince) of pilot training program?
Dont act like a combat pilot is expendable/dispensable.

We call it heroism, and we call our soldiers our heroes.

You are stretching my words, taking risks does not mean expandable, you don't want to face pilot shortage in any case so why waste pilots.

The new breed of fighters can be made to operate with an easy pilot workload and you can train those pilots faster.

If you want to wait until you get everything perfectly prepared for war you wait forever.

Thank Lord that you’re not part of the head of the Air force. Damn, the THK would be in a worser situation that the Libyan Air force.

Apart from upper discussion, thanks to AI importance of pilots is reducing.. Today do we still need high skilled pilotage?
You don't need high skilled brilliant brains. Being a pilot getting easier and very soon pilots will be bored in missions while AI fullfil your commands.
Please remember the Flight engineer job disappeared

Yes, what kind of a question is this? A test flight or two does not mean "AI" will be able to do a pilots job as good as they do, over and over again. Nothing about "AI" is intelligent other than its name ffs, we are years and years away from a pilot just sitting in the cockpit and giving orders while the plane flies itself and engage in combat. Air forces around the world aren't desperately looking for pilots because they just love seeing them in their uniforms, they are irreplaceable for the foreseeable future.

There is a reason militaries around the world are slow to adapt new tech and strategies, and it's not just because they are all hard headed. You need reliability almost more than anything else, everything you use has to be able to perform when it is needed and has to be able to do this after perhaps sitting on a shelf or in a hangar for long periods of time.

I can't fucking believe people talk about pilots as if they're expandable and easily replaceable. When Russia lost its jets in Ukraine, pilots were the loss that really hurt them, more than the jets. One of the main reasons Germans lost the air superiority in WWII was because they lost their best pilots and all the experience they gained. Talking so casually and callously about losing our pilots (and our soldiers in general as well) is fucking insane. Goal should be to minimize the losses no matter what, not see them as expandable and say "eh, its good if ejection seats fail %15 of the time.

You can't find the leader spirit just anywhere, instead of leading future generations some want to follow the previous generations.
