There is another interesting analysis made by Peter Zeihan when he highlights possible power dynamics in the Middle East after the anticipated American withdrawal, with Turkiye as the most dominant regional power but it has many areas of interest and cannot fully focus on the Middle East. Then followed by Saudi Arabia and Iran, both of which we know...,
Given this context, He suggests the most likely scenario would be Israel partnering with Saudi Arabia to counter Iran .

Would this deals suggest a different scenario? we will see
Take Zeihan's takes on Turkiye with a pinch of salt.

Its wonky at best.

What is the labour cost in S.A?
High tech jobs require fewer workers, they can pay well and it won't hurt.
10 million out of 35 million population are foreign workers.

All nations want to sell stuff to Saudi Arabia, Türkiye is no exception.
Sell is something, associate your project and partner with a country that until recently was financing smearing campaigns against Türkiye, is another.
Also the plot of Kashoggi's assassination was to put Türkiye in a difficult situation.

Saudis want to be a part of the Kaan project.
Ideally, I wouldn't want them anywhere near Kaan, even as a customer, simply because I do not trust them.

But practically, we need partners with deep pockets. We have done an incredible job coming so far by ourselves, but it isn't going to get much easier or cheaper from now on. If their involvement remain at a financial level and we keep the crucial knowledge for ourselves, it can really speed things up and help us.

I think it all depends on the final deal. I don't like it, but if I'm being honest with myself, think we need it. If not now, in the future and that's why it might be better for us to get them invested in the project both financially and politically as early as possible.

There is nothing wrong with KSA joining the project,we need economicly strong partners.
I believe the UAE also wants to join the projects which means the GCC will be involved.
As someone already predicted, the Muslim Fighter Jet attracts many countries, especially Black African countries(people keep forgetting the potential of Africa).
We can even form a consortium in the future.

@Cabatli_TR @Yasar_TR @Mis_TR_Like @Test7 ?
As long as Turkey assumes, the roll of USA in JSF , in KAAN project with multiple so called “partners” , whereby the main reins/strings are in our hands, more the merrier.
This is an expensive endeavour we are undertaking. To make it worth it‘s while will need partners.

Isnt it obvious, they all waited for the KAAN.
The only way to be independent from the West is to have our own projects.
This project will open new horizons for the Muslim world, alliances, cooperations and most importantly get rid of the insecurity complexes most ME countries have.

We can include Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar in this project. We can manufacture and assemble some parts in these countries. This is the best news I have heard today.

We have to establish logistics facilities for countries investing billions of dollars. The countries concerned should be able to do the maintenance and upkeep of the planes on their own. Countries should be able to integrate their own munitions.

On the other hand, Nigeria, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Malaysia, Pakistan and of course Bangladesh will want to be involved in the project in the future. The more we can produce, the more we have something to sell.

This will kick us back, we will destroy the balance of geo politics. So what will ME countries give us back? Imagine we sell Kaan with Gokhab a2a missile to Egypt, imagine zionists are crying like greece to superpower :D . We will have a angry EU countries, just thinking loud.

Not a fan of Saudi Arabia, for many reasons, but KAAN is a product that has to be exported and sold.
Exports will bring in the funds for the next iterations of KAAN.

Yesterday is yesterday, we look at today. The world is reshaping, opportunities arise.
They did those actions under foreign influence, in a different world.

Since everyone is talking about it: I'm fine with dealing with Saudis and creating a partnership on Kaan if need be. Can't say the same on UAE tho. Unlike Saudi, UAE spent billions on working against us in multiple theaters, in Libya, Syria, East Med, Sudan and Somalia and again unlike Saudi, Emiratis actually shot at us. Not even the French and Egyptians had the gall. Emiratis are more like Greeks. And being made up of tiny city states, they don't have problems like Saudi has with their population and future. I have no doubt that any and all weapons we will sell to UAE will be used against us in the future.

@Gaucho

Ola Gaucho, you are correct in the observations and there will be many more changes before Kaan reaches the "production" model.

This is very normal with prototyping, the plane design is tweaked to better, the more the plane is matured.

Check for instance the prototypes of YF-22 and YF-35 and compare it to the F-22 and F35 production models, quite a difference.

More info? Exocet missiles sank multiple British ships.
French did not want to give embedded Exocet kill switch radio wave backdoor code to British to not make their own systems and their export reputation obsolete. American generals said same will happen to Turkish Harpoon missiles in a war with Greece.

Saying what America gets is same as what others get is silly. Neither hardware nor the software is same where it matters.

For example we may have F-16 vipers but without the Have Glass 5 stealth and with extra backdoors on all sub-systems. Even Microsoft and other tech companies have to ADD skeleton keys, backdoors to their seemingly unbreakable encryptions per law.

Like FETO did with Aselsan encrypted phones of President Erdogan.
