Larger nose for bigger AESA radar TRM, integrated AESA based EW sensors, S-Duck, fully composite body, diamond shape IRST, EOTS, RAM coating, serrated surfaces, new generation powerful engine development, supercruise...etc

When the MMU matures, it will be a true multi-role fighter jet that will make friends proud and enemies sleepless with fear.

Congratulation TUSAŞ engineers and technicians again !

US F-16s are about to get anti-missile laser pods. What is keeping us to adapt a version of Turkish ALKA Laser to all our fighter jets and drones? Integrated in stealth ones or as pods in others? This weapon is supposed to be mandatory in 6th gen but is there a reason not to add it before that? Cooling? Power Generation?

Why we don't use DSI for TF-X simple, you can't reach 1.6+ Mach with DSI, you would need unworldly amounts of power for that.

So no DSI

Also in the photo TF-X looks small but when you actually look, radome is around 4-5 people wide

Also for the 5th gen debate, it is about Turkish classification, just like how Chinese classify J-20 different, our requirements for TF-X to be 5th gen is also different, TurAF probably wants 1.4+ Mach supercruise, which is probably not possible with F110 GE129's

Other than that every statement given shows that Turkish MIC definitely aims for sensor fusion and other 5th gen treats for the first block, quality of these would be increased with later blocks but still...

Looking at this illustration, we can say that at least 6-7 different types of jets are being prepared on 4 main platforms in the next 10 years, in fact, if we add the informations at the level of some statements that are not yet finalized or not officially confirmed, the total number may be 8-9 over these 4 main platforms. There are also some other highly classified projects in the conceptual design stage.

The Turkish aerospace industry, together with the United States and China, is currently the country with the largest number of air combat platforms developing projects in the world, and is doing so with a much more challenging source management. Many so-called experts from the US and Europe had claimed that this was technically impossible, that Turkiye's capacity was not up to the task and that they would not be able to fly these planes. Fortunately, one by one, each of them started to apologize to their viewers/readers. But still, the development and infrastructural preparations of the Turkish aviation and space industry over the years have been perceived by the aviation community as something that is not widely known and that can be passed off as orientalist memes for foreigners.

Ultimately, they noticed the butterfly emerging from its cocoon. But there is still a lot of superficial thinking going on. The real revolution in the Turkish aviation industry is not taking place on the basis of the main platform. There is big leaps in avionics, propulsion and weapon systems, new generation communication technologies and many other subsystems and machine-to-machine protocols. All flying main platforms will be subsystems of a larger system, and it is this system of systems that is being designed. In today's combat aviation, developing a stand-alone flying platform is not as important as one might think. The real challenge is to ensure that this platform can interoperate with the existing infrastructure without losing the features of the generation in which it was developed. Therefore, the most remarkable and special achievement for Turkish aviation comes from a holistic view of the 2030s air force design.

And all this reveals another fact: Technically, we are moving towards an independent air force. In doing so, what we are designing is not the combatant aviation of today, but the combatant aviation of tomorrow. Geopolitically, it will fundamentally change the everything at the crossroads of continents.

What is the problem??

Same angle from the 'original', notice the watermark. 😎

The problem is that it makes the TF-X's stealth serrations look like they were cut in a garage in Iran. And now the media will pick up this misleading picture (I've already seen it used on a defence news site) and think it's a real photo and talk shit about the TF-X's "poor" construction quality.

Upscales are misleading and should be banned from this forum.

At worst case the buzz will stop after 3-4 months since TF-X will be on ground with its all charm. There will be still missing many parts maybe but the moment when it will be on stage will look like the final view of this masterpiece and after that all noise will stop.

They have done a physical T/R module count from pictures and found below results.:

APG80 before data:~1000 elements
counting:1020 elements

APG79 before:~1100
counting:1368

APG81 before:1200+
counting:1626

APG77 before data:~2000 elements
counting:1956 elements

TFX nose looks bigger than f22. So Burfis can have 2000+ GaN T/R modules.

Afaik it doesn't have Ram coating neither yet so we can't call the structure pure 5th gen either.
Actually, i expected somebody to mention it but seems like nobody gave attention, Turkey already has the ram type of material, but contrary to the US, Turkey wants to add this into the composite material, other than as paint, so nobody could find what is in it.. thats why, Turkish 5th generation jets are made of composite as a whole but US and others are made of metal.
i believe US specially developed it as a coating to make everybody depend on itself, as countries change side every time. Actually, Turkey also wants to do the same, but in reality, they will not need it for themselves but for export

Side weapon bay already present? Or are my eyes playing a trick on me.

Honestly I estimate if all tests go smoothly hopefully we will see this beauty in LRIP way earlier than the estimates made by officials.

Since you find it on nearly all aircrafts, there must be a good reason

I dont like the space between intake and fuselage. Doesnt look smooth.
As per @Quasar ’s explanation, the Low Energy airflow is prevented from entering the intake by spacing the intake from fuselage.
It also makes it easier to control supersonic shockwaves generated at intake that may interfere with engine operations. All supersonic jets have some form of this design feature.
