I watched the video but it seems that the guy despite being right on some parts, he also made some mistakes about the indigenous engine project, haven't we backed off from the RR project? If I'm not mistaken, the engine will be made totally with our own efforts, hence the need of creating another company that is fully state/ home owned(TRMotor).

His video and attitude is positive towards us, which is quite surprising considering his other videos that mention Turkey or Cyprus.

Kotil lets it slip that TAEC is involved in the new engine development.


@Cabatli_TR himself in previous pages had stated that the new engine is being developed by a consortium that included RR with TAEC. So for this guy to mention TAEC is not really out of place.??

I've been hearing/reading from multiple sources that the design of Kaan's P1/P2 prototypes will be "very different". I was also expecting to see some changes in it's design, but can anyone with better knowledge help me imagine/predict( to some extent) what those "very different" changes can be? Can we see the fuselage turning something closer to GCAD or NGAD maybe? Or those claims are for clickbaits only?

I have an idea about a 6. Gen fighter jet and stealthiness. The side rudder makes the plane more visible. Without, it’s more stealthy. What do you think about a tractable rudder, which just open if needed?

Smaller, flatter canopy, cannon..

In principle, he is right autonomous drones are the future, in 20-30 years they will slowly replace fighter aircraft.
Probably GEN 6 fighter planes will be the last of their kind. But then we have another problem, we are creating a system that comes very close to Skynet from Terminator, the software will still attack predetermined targets autonomously on human command, but A.I software/network will coordinate entire swarms of drones in real time satellite-controlled, it will then pull the data from multiple networks such as AWACS aircraft/drones, satellite images + 3D terrain scan + communication and the radar results from carriers and ships and combine all this data and act accordingly. You have to be very careful because AI in 20 years' time will definitely be more autonomous than it is today.

elon musk should put a chip in his brain and fly to mars with his rocket instead of trying to enslave the entire human race for his space exploration fantasies. Yes, drones are the future. No shit. The future isn't now.

I think people who are developing autonomous systems bound have same aversion towards manned systems and see them inferior.

The future wars will be fought between drones. Very few people would dispute that. The trouble is, how far that future is? is it 5 years, 10 years or 30? There are valid concerns over decision-making process of AI and inability to delineate or trace a bug in the neural net and also validating the software to be used in the wild could not be overcame by any company yet. Adding to this, the performance of the said platforms under heavy EW environments is another concern.

I'm glad that we are blessed with a company whose undivided attention is solely focused on these unmanned systems. Maybe they could crack these issues and bring about a viable product that is operating fully-autonomously.

If a plane has an AGI (artificial general intelligence) level of automation, then obviously it's better than any human pilot, period. But we are long way from that, and anything less is unacceptable. AI as it is right now can't successfully replace a Starbucks Barrista, let alone an F-35 pilot. On another note, I feel like AGI directed airplanes can pull off impressive stuff, like synchronization without communicating among themselves or things of that nature.

But for the next few years, we have different hurdles to overcome. If TUSAŞ manages to pull 20 Block 10s by 2028, I can just dance from joy.

Given the F-35's current advantages over drones in command and control, resilience against jamming/hacking, electronic warfare etc. I would guess that Musk is probably angling for his starlink + drones to replace that. The guy indeed follows the motto: "Always be closing".

Constant salesmanship aside, however, he does actually deliver the value.

I would guess that he is pushing for an interim solution prior to a sufficiently capable AI where his satellites can provide secure human control of a UAV that plays that command and control function.

Don't take anything Musk says seriously. Yes, he is the richest man alive but he is also an utter moron who acts like a teenager and needs constant validation. 90% of the time he has no idea what he is talking about, and in the other 10% he is usually taking credit for what someone else has done.
