Granted I am not going be some "lefty" dude saying ohh because of that we should allow the whole world in but nevertheless the Eurasian continent is fascinating to study and Maltese is basically Arabic to a extent but Latin

It is somewhat a synthesis between italic-sicilian and a very non-standard arabic (even for its time as linguists have not been able to trace and assign morphology to any other type of Arabic be it koranic, classical or one of the regional dialects today).

Most of the (common-used) vocab is apparently italic/sicilian for example...and about 1 third is arabic-based.

These ratios might have changed over time of course since the retaking of malta startingwith raids by Norman dukes of Sicily (thats a long story in itself) after the earlier moorish conquest of it (referred to in "the sicilian scene" with walken in that movie hehe).

I dont have much knowlege on Maltese people and Malta itself past one English teacher I had in primary school who was born there (but she was English as can be tbh).

The Basics is Arabic roots there is no denying its a hybrid of Italian and Arabic and of course over the centuries its changed quite a lot part of my hobby is to read translated news sites or watching newscasts from countries I have interests in as well

I swear to you if I got into PM Imran Khan's position you would see Attila the Hun meets Stalin meets Adolf Hitler. Every mullah, every follower of religious parties woiuld be wiped out. Spot of eugenics would be rolled out. Anybody below par IQ has no right to consume oxygen. I would bring in CCP's restriction on child birth. Onlty 1 unless post-graduate qualifications. I must go before I come out with even crazier ideas. It's late.

This made me think about just what kind of a superpower we'd end up with if Turkey-Iran-Pakistan were actually one country/federation. I mean, we got gas, oil, mines, nukes, ICBMs, tech, industry, tons of conventional weapons, controlling Black Sea, Mediterranean, the Gulf and Indian Ocean with the power of 376 million trilingual people... Daaamn! The nightmare scenario for everyone around us.

These are purely politcal constructs and thus subject to change over time. Did you know Israel and Australia figure in Eurovision contest. The former plays in UEFA.

Yep, I guess with Israel the argument that the people (at least the traditional elite i.e askenazi) are from mostly Central+Eastern Europe over last cpl millenia nearly since Vespasian and his son Titus had their way with them due to the rebellion.

Though demographically they are now mostly sephardic I believe in population.

The defacto reason for the UEFA thing was something related to boycott by rest of Asia (whatever that league is) given lot of Arab countries etc represented there and it became really awkward.

I guess with Australia and NZ for eurovision they are basically european setup/extension....but then why not have US and Canada too lmao...I guess US would win too much just like it does at hollyweird.

I believe Australia and NZ are part of the Asian football league though, I dont think theres seperate for just oceania etc. Could be wrong on that though.

You know whats makes Israel and Turkey similar is that their elite wanted to larp as European but population growth in both countries wanted their country to be more Middle Eastern eg-Mirzahi Jews,Ashkenazi Jews,Kurds and Anatolian Turks

All a very long subject to get into.... the population bulk of jews settled in the closer environs mostly (logical), only some made it to Europe in the dispersal I speak of resulting from the last siege and destruction/decimation by Roman army

Europe (and north america) ended up advancing lot more than the other areas, so those folks there get the more elite status etc.

In fact thats why sephardic kind of own the title for the other major section....given they are traced back to Spain/portugal which is part of Europe, but for long time in formative time (after Rome collapsed) it was part of Moorish/Muslim world and that larger influence....and thus through that Mizrahi is kind of subsumed with them in many instances (as these were more well entrenched in the core areas of middle east etc...no reconquista politics and disputes and turmoil for that for very long period of time until 20th century formation of Israel). I didn't even know word Mizrahi till much later in life when I really studied deeply into all this stuff regarding Israel etc.

One of my buds from way back is actually Mizrahi jew I guess, quite dark skin etc, his family though traces back quite recently to west coast India though. Like his folks know Marathi language and stuff.

Yah first book I came across this was actually a very long deep book about 1967 war (somewhat nominally given the time focusing on the larger context) and all the political dispensation of the time in Israel. That must have been something I read 10 years ago at least....very fascinating read overall...I was a real amateur overall because I didnt know anything about Israel politics in between big names like Ben-Gurion and Meir...with folks I had no idea at the time like Eshkol and Yigal (exception being ones that would rise later politically but were purely military at time like Rabin and Sharon).

The angst and pressure was already surfacing (elite vs non elite population increasing way faster), the author talked about it in great detail especially since he had some more 30 years of hindsight past it.

At later point I plan to do a big study here on it if the interest and time is there for it. I got some other ideas up my sleeve first though.

It's the age old struggle. Some people are only capable of living their life according to one set of rules, completely shutting out the other, or seeing it as an invasive disease.

I think, Pakistan should have had a "Diyanet Vakif" like Turkey with hardcore teaching and administration. Also the need to keep track of how the imams from the Vakif evolve afterwards.

Diyanet Vakif atm in Turkey has become involved in politics, even had the gall to curse Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, it may be bandying with words, and they claim they didn't curse MKA, but if they weren't going to curse MKA then they could have completely avoided that speech, and focused on celebrating the opening of Aya Sofya.

Anyway, Diyanet Vakif is IMO still reliable as the institution should have existed long enough to ensure proper education of Imams ensuring they know not to get into politics.

It is the "Mullah", and "Seriat" congregations that you need to clean up. Which is what National Intelligence units are for.
