Just spoke with a U.S. Army officer stationed on the border - his orders to patrol this month haven’t been renewed due to the SecDef being AWOL and rippling down the command - Texas military has displayed the pinnacle of professionalism and integrity, impressing US military servicemembers. - U.S. military servicemembers are openly discussing defecting to the Texas side should a major break open between the Texas and U.S. governments.

Spoke with an officer at Fort Bragg, confirmed same talks are happening there. Sentiment is almost universally “if something happens, I’m immediately going awol and heading to Texas.”
