The governments of Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey will sign a framework military agreement, which provides for the expansion of cooperation in 21 areas​

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will pay an official visit to the Republic of Turkey from October 15 to 17, 2020. This is the second visit to this country during the term of the Ukrainian President. The day before, October 13 , at a meeting of a draft Framework military agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the signing is planned while Vladimir Zelensky in Turkey.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran is authorized to sign this agreement. According to the head of the department, the signing of this document will create a legal basis for expanding and deepening the existing Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation in the field of defense and launching cooperation in more than twenty fundamentally new relevant areas.

The Minister of Defense also stressed that the recently approved National Security Strategy of Ukraine identifies the Republic of Turkey as one of the countries with which Ukraine will develop a strategic partnership to protect national interests and strengthen regional security.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for liquid-fuel rocket engine sales, co-production or (hopefully) even tech-transfer for Roketsan's MUFA project.

Ukrainian state-owned company Yuzhmash produces the RD-8 engines that burn RP-1 kerosene with liquid oxygen, which powered the Zenith launcher with 7-ton payload capacity. They also sell engines and provide services to ESA and NASA.

For the short term, yes. For the long term, i'd rather see Roketsan work hard fail multiple times but push on to develop a domestic engine.

I think this partnership is one of the, if not the most imporntant there is. Our two countries complement each other really well in not only in terms of military technology but in terms of scientific and industrial sectors aswell. They have cetain technology we require but no the funds to sustain or make use of it, we have the desire and funds to keep their industry above water and help us power our vehicles. As weird as it sounds i would like nothing more then our two space programs to combine together with this in mind.
