Isn't Tesla being produced in Germany and brought to Türkiye? Isn't there an agreement between Türkiye and Europe regarding taxes? Aren't local cars and those coming from Europe in the same tax bracket? Isn't BYD building a factory in Türkiye to avoid paying high taxes?

Yes in theory you are right

but you can see Chinese, Japanese and Korean,they use 1000 methods to make foreign car much expensive even same Taxes rate(the "tax" I mentioned before was not only the formal taxes)

Btw,I think BYD s factory just a trick not to pay the high tax,they build factories very fast but delayed and delayed in Turkey.that s a tactic of Chinese.

They had escaped the special tax of Chinese EV cars

Btw a Chinese brand car whatever how cool and good it looks like,they had many problems in long terms, especially they developed too many new models every year so the maintenance of old models became a big problem in China

I don't know enough about EV market to say, but from my POV it would be more normal to break even than making profit.

Also a year with profit is likely just because of people moving from fossil to EV.

However I do hope the government and municipalities gives positive incentives to make TOGG the main brand people buy in Türkiye.

Either through special charging stations, or reduced VAT of sorts.
