In the midterms Bob Menendez' son got elected into Congress, alongside 5 other Greek-American senators. Turkish elections don't even matter, I don't think we will get any F16s for the next 5 years haha.
Turkish Air Force will suffer, a lot, probably until 2035.

Well apart from weapon sale there are a lot they can do especially economically.
We do also have some economic aces up in our sleeve. a lot of US trade towards Turkiye is done on services sector. stuff like Netflix, Amazon, Twitter etc.
crank up the regulations on these bum-ass, antagonistic corpos and theyll know it goes both ways.

They are trying to do a lot of things to a lot of countries but what I see is they have started to reel back from their moves, like in Venezuela.

Buying 40 T4 Eurofighters will cost over $10 billion+
Even if we spend that kind of money on EF instead of TFX, UK will never give us source codes, and you have Germany that can block sales, parts and whatnot.

Qatar bought 24 Tranche 3 A Eurofighters for $6 billion, can anyone put an estimate on how much 48 Tranche 4 Eurofighters would cost?
I read somewhere that because Qatar wasn't in the EU costs were really high.

Weapon sales have always been about manipulating and controlling Turkeys actions. Since Turkey is pursuing her rightful claim in her surrounding neighbourhood weapons will be restricted to create pressure. If we did nothing and allowed all the plots to develop around us uncontested we would still receive F35.

When a moment comes that it looks like the Turks are going to get their own fighter off the ground expect good offers to put forward towards Turkey about fighter jets.

A good example is cyprus 1974, before that war americans were selling us weapons the actual moment we used those weapons to fight a war in our interests embargoes came our way.

We got to wise up and learn to play this game.

Americans don't sell Turks weapons because they want us to be able to defend ourselves, they sell us weapons to keep us in their sphere of influence and then use said weapon sales to manipulate what we can and cannot do.

But at the same time the Americans are clever they are going to make us believe that its greek/armenian lobbying power behind it all to further inflame tensions in the region. When in reality its just american state policy towards Turkey.

Turkiye needs to do whatever it takes.
Leverages on the table can change over time. We do our Best to exploit opportunities.
Fighters are vital part of an air force, but it is not all. Turkiye has been making solid progress on ew, a2a missiles, sam technology and more importantly ballistic and Cruise missile capabilities.
F16 deal is important, but not life and dead situational.
If we achieve what is going to be expected, we ll have our shares in a huge fucking pie.

A package deal that includes brand new 40 Eurofighters T4 costs around 6 billion (150million per fighter). We can buy the same amount of T1&T2 and upgrade those for less than half of this budget.

Yeah that's feasible. TAF would be able to afford a purchase like that, but anything in the double digit billions is stupid, we could put that towards TFX. Could someone go over why UK doesn't give out source codes for T4 EF? UK is willing to give out source codes for Tranche 1 which would allow us to integrate our own systems but not for Tranche 4 fighters. Could this present a problem? Can't we just use off the shelf?

With the full package of logistics, training, weapons and 30 years of sustainment spare parts, the cost is seems to be between 250million and 300 million.
Kuwait order 28 trench 3A for 8.7 billion dollars.
And qatar order 24 trench 3A for 8 billion dollars.
Only folks that gets a discount who are part of the original program.
That's why germany got 38 EF for 6.5 billion dollars. ( without weapon package )
and also it should be noted, the training and the logistical supply chain is already established within german air force.

So I doubt that, Turkey will get 40 trench 4 package deal for 6 billion only.

You are talking about a very different thing that is called life cycle costs. Arabs pay the money because they pay protection money and will continue paying life cycle costs independent of that.

Yes, and that is usually included in the 'package deal' as we see it with qatar and Kuwait.
Turkish contract won't include life cycle costs. The canceled Turkish F-35 deal was worth 10 billion for 100 aircraft. Life cycle costs were calculated north of 50 billion for 100 fighters at that time. Arabs will pay life cycle costs separate from those contracts. They pay the double amount because otherwise, EU refuses to sell them.

I think it is unnecessary to buy an ef 2000 when the Red Apple is cut off from the ground, Murad radar has been installed on the Akıncı tiha, and the Mmu has entered the production line.

MURAD has been installed on the Akıncı? When did that take place? Asking out of curiosity.
