Don't know if I should laugh or cry at this situation. A country nevent 1/10 of your size has a better procurement strategy than us.

We should be the ones running after C-390, A400M, CH-47 and MH-60R (or at least more S-70) yet regulary we hear from our officials how there is no interest and need for those crafts.

Not even gonna mention the mismanagement of the T-70 project.

Complete shithow.

Can't even complete the transaction for second-hand C-130 from the Brits.

But don't worry when the T-925 enters inventory in 2032 and our own logistic-lift plane project is announced and finished in 2040 everything will be fine until then we will iha siha 31 everything, right? In the meantime we can afford some more A8, S-Class and 7 series for our yandas.

Take a deep breath mate, it has already been reported weeks ago that we are in contact with Brazil to procure C-390.

Greece is sending a letter to Brazil to order 3 C-390s. In the reply, there are 2 different packages and prices. They choose one of the 2 options and order.

Turkey sends a letter to Brazil to order 3 C-390s. The same answer comes for us, it says these are the prices of 2 different packages.
We do not accept these packages, we create new packages and send them to them. They reorganize those packages and send them to us. This cycle happens 10-20 times (it takes months because there is no whatsapp call). The C-390 engine is from UK rolls-royce. Embraer needs some permissions for our packages. This kind of official correspondence extends our pre-order period.

We have in our packages, domestic production, maintenance authorization, spare parts production, software permissions etc.

Selling products to us takes too long because of our requests.

What I have explained here is only for an illustration.

We are not the ones interested. Embraer approached us to sell us some that does not mean we are interested in buying them. For a country whose officials can't even close a deal for 12 second-hand C-130J I would not be so optimistic.

Same officials weren't able to finalize the F-16 deal now for almost two years and now have suspended it in hopes they can get some F-35 instead.

By the time they get the bright idea to actually modernize and refresh the fleet Embraers production line will be full and you can wait 5 years for the first aircraft.

Don't know where you guys get the confidence that this will be a smooth sailing when this countries government is ridden with incompetency on all its levels.

Same officials as the ones who rejected the proposed deal by Embraer years ago to join this project btw. 🤡
