Air-Force Turkish KT-1T Aircraft crashed into the sea off Foça, Izmir - Both pilots rescued.

Our KT-1 type aircraft, serving in our 2nd Main Jet Base Command in Izmir, fell into the sea off Foça for an unknown reason during the training flight, and suffered an accident. Two pilots were rescued alive with the immediate search and rescue work.

Local fisherman rescued the first pilot and when they got to the second, CG were already there so they did it together.

According to sources when the KT-1 malfunctioned one of the pilots ejected and landed into the water with parachute while the second one stayed in the plane in order to fly it away from the settlement and land it in one piece in the water. Again show of heroism by TSK personnel.

Its also good piloting to be able to land it without a huge mess!!!

That impact would have destroyed the plane and kill him with the force of impact.
