Yulpar seems to be a little bit under armored compared to Puma, Lynx, or Kurganets-25. Don't now maybe because of these the side skirts.
you see dots on the side and front of armor, it means it use super modern (also used in Yoruk) upgradeable armor. basially you are able to upgrade it fast depend on operation, simply adding it.. probably for the transportation point they didnt add it all. it also depends on what's its engine. if you want heap and only 4 level from sides, 750hp Tumosan engine is enough, but if you want super heavy, like redback or Lynx 41, then BMC 1000hp is must.. thats the future to be armed to stand against tank fires as APS will stop anti tank missiles. Probably other will go for 750hp but Turkey 1000hp.
thinking how far the front view of driver window from front and seeing the engine on the other side not front, all that front is the armor, it means its designed to stand against Tank fires too..

My guess they will replace it with BMC Efe, incredible that they will retire fairly new (2004-2012) Unimog. Not that there aren't any other needs

Donate them to TRNC!.. we need spare parts and better trucks some unimogs are 30 years old! :) or donate to allies.. I am serious about this.. GKK (Security Forces Command uses Civilian Mercedes Trucks and Unimogs, Unimogs are old..) These look better than our inventory.

TRNC owns whatever is in the Turkish armed forces inventory. ;)

No it is separate, TSK (Cyprus Turkish Peace Force Command) and GKK (TRNC Security Forces Command) own different armored vehicles; we have Otokar Akreps, Engereks, Unimogs while TSK has ACV-300, M48, M113,M110s, MAN and BMC Trucks.. well maintenance wise may be some sort of cooperation exists but mostly barracks, trainings and responsibility area is different. TRNC troops are lightly armed, mostly infantry regiments ( we don't have tanks or mechanized divisions), TRNC toops are mostly spread across the border, securing the border while TSK troops are in the bases behind the line. Different inventory and different tasks.. I was also made my duty on the border and our battle plan is to hold enemy if they attack us, until TAF comes to aid :) that is the only objective.

If I were military procurement department here, I would go and buy second hand MAN trucks from UK or Netherlands. And many Umtas/Omtas for infantry, may be some UAVs, low cost but effective weapons. Once there was a commander who is enthusiast with new Turkish defence products. He wanted to buy Nurol Ejder 4x4 and Anka but later abandoned because of high price (at least $1m per ejder if I remember correctly) (BTW, GKK has a separate budget from the government, GKK gets a percentage of every import tax, also military aid from Turkey most of the time, despite not funded pass couple of years.)

Anyway we couldn't afford our UAVs but due to recent geopolitical tensions TAF put TB2s to Gecitkale Airport (Unfortunately this killed civil aviation events & trainings here, because no other airport left.) There was 2 civil airport (Ercan and Gecitkale) and one GKK small heliport /Airport in Kırnı Village, next to main base, may be TAF also used that base before.

I'm just an ordinary guy, if i had any saying there are a lot of plans for TRNC in my mind but i'm just a peasant who likes to daydream like a king.

My honest opinion Turkey has to invest more in TRNC not only economy and infrastructure but military especially, TRNC has to become a fighting force able to defend themself anytime without relying on TSK's intervention but...

Wrong thread for this discussion* but I have a lot to say and dream as well. In every single international organization, Greeks complain about Turkey invaded* holds the lands with troops, invasion force etc.. Doing bad propaganda.. It is just five minutes for F16s and Turkey is much more capable today, No need to feed 40k troops and keep m48 here. Better armed local army could legitimize everything and could be a good propaganda against their excuse. In international agreements Turkey has a right to keep 600 professional soldiers as Guarantor, put a small force to airbase, UAV base, have a naval base instead of keeping a lot of conscripts. A week ago another agreement signed where Turkey will give funding for development which includes help to businesses to survive covid19, repair roads and tens of new Mosques and Mosque restorations :)) May be there is some need I don't know, due to increased number of workers and students from Pakistan and Nigeria..

Otokar ARMA 6x6 with 2x OMTAS and 1x 7.62 Turret

Interesting to note that Roketsan decided to use ARMA as demonstrator platform.

Is Otokar Arma in stock of the Turkish Armed Forces? Because as far as I know only Bahrain has procured it so far.

Otokar added the version of the Cobra II armored vehicle, which is more protected against mines, to its product family.

Cobra II 4x4, the 15 countries involved in the Cobra family of products in Turkey and the world as a new model has been designed, developed and in 2013 Otokar added to the product family.

Cobra II was designed with a higher carrying capacity and a larger internal volume compared to the Cobra. Cobra II, which has high mobility, was presented with a modular structure for different missions just like Cobra. Otokar reinforced its success with Cobra with Cobra II, the new member of the family. Cobra II gained the appreciation of the users with its successful performance in a short time; in Turkey as well as in the export market was the preferred tool.

Continuing its research and development studies, Otokar recently developed the "mine-resistant vehicle" (MRAP) version of the modular Cobra II vehicle against current and future threats and added it to its product family. Cobra II MRAP, a new generation mine protected vehicle, offers users high ballistic and mine protection and high transport expectations with a different mobility than this class of vehicles.

High survival in risk areas

Reflecting the 35 years of experience and know-how of Otokar in land vehicles, Cobra II MRAP provides high survivability in risky areas. It offers the crew superior protection against ballistic, mine and handmade explosive threats. Cobra II MRAP maintains similar motion and comfort parameters with Cobra II, ensuring a safe use against these threats. Thanks to the mine shield in the base of the vehicle, superior mine protection can be offered without loss of high modular structure and serviceability.

High mobility, low silhouette

In Cobra II MRAP, there are reflections of Otokar's experience in different terrain and climate conditions, with more than 32 thousand vehicles used in more than 35 countries.

Compared to similar mine-proof vehicles in the world, the Cobra II MRAP offers superior mobility and unmatched handling not only on stabilized roads, but also on terrain, due to its low center of gravity.

Cobra II MRAP's independent suspension system provides superior performance in the field. The vehicle is less noticeable as it has a lower silhouette compared to its counterparts.

Cobra II MRAP has a modular design like all Otokar armored vehicles. Thus, while being a suitable platform for different missions, it offers users logistical advantages in the battlefield.

Special design, high reliability, ease of maintenance and repair and power package, complete and fast assembly even under field conditions

Otokar directed its target to exports. This may be the reason. If I'm not mistaken, it was the only armored manufacturer to join IDEX.
