Instead of developing their own jet powered drones, why won't Baykar and TAI form a consortium to develop one UAV? A jet powered drone is much more ambitious that what TAI and Baykar have done so far. Joining their knowledge and resources would yield a great aircraft.
While I agree, I think they are going for 2 different designs which fill different niches.
It appears as if the Göksungur will be similar to Boeing's Flying Wingman drones. Meanwhile MIUS will be something different... we will have to wait and see, but I'm sure that the two projects will not compete against eachother.
Thing is we only really received details about the Göksungur recently. There's still a lot that we don't know about. We can only speculate for now.
But I'm hoping that one of them is designed for air superiority and the other is designed for air-to-ground missions. That way Turkey can have an unmanned fleet which can do it all.
