Unmanned fighter MIUS should take to the skies in 2023

The MIUS unmanned fighter should have a speed of about supersonic, a working ceiling height of up to 12 kilometers and the ability to lift 1 ton of missile weapons.

The Turkish manufacturer of combat drones, Baykar Makina, has signed a contract for the supply of AI-322F jet engines with the Ukrainian company Ivchenko-Progress for Bayraktar MİUS drones. This was reported by the press service of Baykar Makina on Thursday, November 11.

"On the second day of SahaExpo2021, we signed contracts for the supply of AI-322F engines by the leading Ukrainian company Ivchenko-Progress for our MİUS (combat unmanned aerial system - ed.) Project," the message says.

According to Defense Express, this is the SAHA international arms exhibition, which is taking place in Istanbul. New Turkish unmanned fighter jets should take to the skies as early as 2023.

Journalists believe that at first the Ukrainian enterprise will develop engines for pre-production cars - after successfully passing all tests, they will be supplied in large quantities.

AI-322F is the newest and only Ukrainian turbojet bypass engine with an afterburner. It is designed for modern supersonic combat trainers and light combat aircraft with moderate supersonic speeds. The MIUS unmanned fighter should have a speed of about supersonic, a working ceiling height of up to 12 kilometers and the ability to lift 1 ton of missile weapons.

How does it get enough speed, lift to hit faster, higher flying targets. Using mini hobby turbojet engine could be the ideal option for it.

This is really a good concept that the Iranians have come up with and used effectively by the Houthis. FEDAI is more akin to engaging smaller swarm type UAVs. But something like what the Iranians have come up with should be considered!

It is an open secret that Roketsan developed MAM-L with thermobaric warhead with the help of Numerics Software GmbH.

Motor Sich JSC Marketing and Sales Manager Pavlo Kasai said that with each agreement, the security and strength of the two countries increased as well as their cooperation. "I can assure you that everything will be on time and that the engines will be delivered on time and will work well," Kasai said.

Bayraktar and Kasai signed the agreement after the speeches.

I wish Black Sea Shield would be utilized but since the Engines will be delivered in 2022 I assume no National Production until at least 2023.
Perhaps Ukraine isn't interested in Sharing work.

As far as I know, the project is enjoying state incentives and on track. Baykar's financial position is very good and it will improve even more. I doubt new facility construction will be a problem.

Baykar signs agreement to purchase and integrate AI322F Ukrainian jet engines for MIUS.
This makes sense now. There is a lot of synergy between this engine, Motor Sich and Baykar MIUS .
Looking at the type of engines chosen it is a fact that Baykar is intending to develop supersonic MIUS along side the subsonic one.
This engine can reach 1.6 Mach speed..

The other engine chosen; AI 25 TLT is a subsonic engine with a thrust of 1720lbf+ .

I the MIUS is going to be a stealth drone or non-stealth drone ? because if it's stealth I think that the ukrainian engine won't be good at the thermal signature unlike the western counterpart . for example this is f-22 and you can see the small signature it make unlike the soviet\russian era engines .
