Lol
today at Dubai air show , edge group which is a UAE base arms manufacture have presented new drone
it's a copy of tb2 + MAM bomb family
And yet they can't even match the performance of TB2. Anyway, on the subject of TB2 - I see they have updated payload of TB2 - MULTI-PURPOSE AESA RADAR?!?!?!?!

AESA Radar would make Sense to use Tb-2 against Air Targets, for example against other Drones, Low flying Aircraft or Helicopters.
Likely in TB-3 it can be possibleImpossible, you need bigger engine for that, radar systems are power comsuning electronics.

assuming it'll be in close proximity to cities and such. I think a network centric solution with passive relay antenna systems could be used to create a web where the tb2 could suffice with a smaller radar/sensor to locate targets.TB3 is new designed uav, TB2 is old and they reached its maximum capacity. This will be a expesive uav TB2 if they manage something like that.

It'll be interesting to see the use-case for Multi-purpose AESA radar. Maybe we may see single tube sungurs integrated into TB2?

I think they want to use ASELSAN's AESA SAR pod
ASELSAN’ın AESA SAR Podu Uçuş Testlerine Başlıyor
ASELSAN’ın öz kaynak projelerinden biri olan (X-Bant Aktif Faz Dizinli)AESA SAR Podu ilk uçuş testine hazırlanıyor.www.defenceturk.net
To be fair it is their first try, I expect they will get better with time. And yet they can't even match the performance of TB2. Anyway, on the subject of TB2 - I see they have updated payload of TB2 - MULTI-PURPOSE AESA RADAR?!?!?!?!

Dont be too quick to discredit them the way Westerners discredited Turkey when they first entered the defense industry.
South Africans arent magical beings although I agree they could have made something better. I expect their products will become far better in the next few years. They aren't doing it alone, heavy South-African involvement - i expected better tbh. I give more leeway to Iran, they are heavily embargoed and put out some decent designs.
You should open a thread about it and share the images and info. All their UAVs unveiled today.
