Turkey is slowly but surely building up these high-tech force multipliers. I really don't mind if the Altay gets further delayed, as long as the Turkish defense industry keeps coming up with these innovative designs of which we have gotten a taste in Syria, Libya and Azerbaijan.

The only thing that is not under development afaik are spike-ER and NLOS- like missiles carried on light vehicles with at least 8 of these missiles. If Turkey develops this, it can do away with MBT all together and design light and cheaper tanks (Kaplan+105mm) for infantry fire-support. The Kornet and OMTAS tank destroyers are a good beginning, but should be developed further to carry more and longer ranged missiles.

No tank is safe in today's and definitely tomorrows battlefield.
bro, the problem with Nlos, it works with a normal radio communication. in a real war, it would get easily jammed. no need for that...

I don't know if this was shared here, but this is the most up to date Akıncı-SOM J illustration from SAHA Virtual Expo

Ukrainian source was stated that MIUS will have a MTOW up to 5,5ton and payload of 1 ton.

Ukrainian sources leaking information left and right.

They released documentation for Turkish engine purchases including AI-450s for Akıncı and AI-35s bought for Gezgin cruise missile tests

Luckily these and future engines are planned to be nationalized and manufactured locally in the near future otherwise it would had been very bad for information security

A Silicon Valley startup led by an MIT engineers is working with local company Baykar Savunma in building a world-class mapping mega drone. The drone covers over 4000 square kilometers in a day, extracting insights for many sectors including city management, construction, pipelines, power, roads, defense, and more. The solution will be the first in the world to map all of Istanbul in the matter of a few hours.
We are expanding our team of engineers with positions to start immediately.
We are evaluating engineers in four categories: foundational knowledge, domain knowledge, communication and organization, and motivation.

As SOM-j is the only air launched cruise missile in our armoury with a capability of hitting moving sea targets thanks to it’s data link capability; it is also the fact that this missile is about 540kg, some 100 to 120 kg lighter than the big brother SOM-C (still to materialise), it is logical to think that it can be launched from the Akinci UAV until TFX becomes available. With it’s 150 nautical miles (270 km) effective range, SOM-J is truly a “stand-off” weapon that can be a game changer In Mediterranean.
Another weapon I would like to see on Akinci is the 570kg trg300 missile. This too, when air launched at high altitude will be a stand-off supersonic attack missile for stationary targets. With it’s maximum speed of 4.2 Mach and terminal hitting velocity of 1.5 Mach , this missile is almost impossible to stop as well.
The Akinci UAV can prove to be a very good deep strike platform.

At that altitude and speed, the TRG-300 can easily reach twice its normal range.

Israel’s rampage missile which is identical in weight and size to our trg300 , is said to reach “hundreds of miles” when launched @ over 30k feet from f16’s. Israeli authorities call this missile “a true stand-off supersonic missile”.
I think 280+ km range is well within reach of this missile.

Let's not forget TRLG-122 as well, being smaller makes it lighter, but being able to launch them while airborne will save precious fuel that's consumed during launches.

TRLG (or TRG)-122 having a L2A range of 40 km could double that easily. Maybe even reach 120 km range with few modifications.

TRLG (or TRG)-230 has a bigger warhead so I understand the advantages of being able to launch it while airborne, but it doesn't have same crucial tech as SOM, so wouldn't that be a waste ?
