Yeah he said tonight but I don't know if such thing will happen tonight. İt's getting late...
I take it back. He is a visionary but also a very level-headed man. Reusable rockets are not realistic for Turkey, not for the next two decades at least.

Regarding their space ambitions, they may be working on a satellite launching drone like Ravn X.

BAYKAR CEO Haluk Bayraktar: BAYRAKTAR KIZILELMA has 4 different variants. We preferred the first version to be single-engine in terms of cost - effectiveness. That single engine also has two variants. We have a cooperation with Ukraine that supplies

Really nice of them to think about cost-effectiveness, especially with the success of tb-2. Countries could line up to buy squadrons of these aircraft with the fraction of the cost of normal aircraft. Kızılelma's first variant is on its way to become the bayraktar tb2 of air-to-air engagements imo.

Watching Selçuk Bayraktar's interview tonight, he is so cheeky when he is subtly taking jabs at TFX. If it was up to him he would flush the whole project down immediately.
It's all pure speculation, something 40 years ago Yada Yada. None of the CHP or İyi leadership wants to shelf any defense project.

Now this is my opinion as a user of this forum but something is off with this guy.

I don't like him, something is putting me off. he might be well educated but he's lacking respect and doesn't know how to articulate himself. The governments money has funded his projects and products. Not the AKP.

He should take a page out of the book of his father who probably too is AKPian but talks like someone who is mature, thoughtful when I see his CNN interview for example.

Kotil aka TAI always talks respectful about the competition with Baykar, while Selcuk takes cheap jabs at TAI.
You are seeing a great example of success intoxication. Somebody better ask Selcuk how he lured away experienced engineers and technicians from TAI to establish the basis and how did they learn to build and integrate a jet engine on a jet powered aircraft's airframe.

I appreciate the work he does, and i shall admit his company works nearly in 7 - 8 times more efficient than TAI does, but also TAI handles an inorganic growth supporting diversity of projects both license production, indigeneous development, upgrades, modernizations at once in helicopters, aircrafts, UAVs.

And this intoxication has caused delays on TB3 because they have overseen some details that Navy didn't loosen up, let's hope this condition does not reflect upon MIUS and they complete it smoothly and we see it up on the air.

As if any government would not want the success of its own defense industry. Not only is he publicly aligning with the AKP, he's also feeding conspiracy theories.

Selcuk Bayraktar getting involved in politics, spreading BS for his father in laws party. Should have kept his mouth shut.
Their is an interesting report about conspiracy theories in Turkey in a german newspaper. They say, in no other country there are so many conspiracy theories, like in Turkey. And in no other country the theory seems to be true. As a side note.
Maybe this is what many people are thinking and afraid of the relation between AKP and Bayraktar.

Why was my post deleted? There was no politics in it. I didn't question his intentions. Being late to the game, he(Selçuk Bayraktar) openly criticizes the 5th generation(manned) fighter projects. Whether he is right or not is a matter of logical discussion not a political discourse.

Maybe we should ask Peter Wennink the same question, how did he lure our engineers to their company? Let's ask everyone except TUSAŞ.

It was TUSAŞ itself that filled the company with someone's nephews. It was their workplaces that caused all these engineers to go away. It was administrations in those govt companies walking with an army of "yes man" and behavior to escape. This situation is all the time being talked about by people, and they blame everyone except TUSAŞ and ASELSAN.

Look how Boeing and Lockheed Martin treat each other. Baykar brought competition, if nothing else. What would happen without competition? Look at Russian companies. Companies belonging to TSK GV had gentlemen's deals for employees, preventing circulation.

You admit Baykar is 7-8 times more efficient because it is. And it is because they are private. They don't have the state's treasury backing their asses. They can't hire people sitting and looking trendyol all the time, they have to work. All those "Savunma sanayi uzmanları" talking about this all the time. Empty people are not zero, they are minus. They discourage people want to work. Administrations mostly have no idea what they are doing, but they are there because you know they are loyal to AKP.

Not at all, people in Baykar works in vicinity of mobbing. People at TAI works peacefully, with less work load. Meanwhile, TAI is closer to those american companies you have mentioned in providing oppurtinities to engineers and in terms of R&D, academic collaboration than Baykar.

Same happens with Baykar too, you may see some people are hired just because they are someone's nephew, this is everywhere, not just in TSK GV companies. TAI and Aselsan always had to bear the load since the past. They were the sole adress when people appointed when nobody else could solve the problem. That is why those two companies work in diverse projects sometimes out of their scope.

Most of the sucessful engineering graduates from top universities either prefers abroad or TAI, Baykar comes third. TAI leans a lot on the academia, far beyond Baykar.

Again, you gotta accept Selcuk is having success intoxication and this started to affect projects. Before blaming TSK GV companies being lazy. He surpassed the line, he started to talk on subjects he is not an expert on, quite certainly, to the level that pushing his nonapplicable ideas. Not everything goes public, but i could see the change in him. This is not good, he should have a grip of himself.

What an irony.

What the world superpowers did not succeed, to stop our defence industry power, our own people start to try.

This video is an old video I shared before, this one is a video the same guy published later.

Oğuz Ergin works closely with many of those defense companies. Also, his graduates are working in defense companies. My messages here are mostly related to him. Technically he has solid info from companies.

For example, what he said about Mikes. That company basically prevented by Aselsan because by doing what Aselsan was supposed to do. They went bankrupt. Aselsan bought them and made propaganda by saying they had protected little company. In reality, they lobbied the army and prevented sales of Mikes. Their anger didn't resolve, so they made serious mobbing on the workers from Mikes. They left Aselsan and created new company named Meteksan. Hope this time they will survive.

Yes, Selçuk might have success intoxication, which affects their projects. Good that I won't have to pay taxes in case they fail since we have TUSAŞ and their better drones. It is quite easy when the company is private, and there is an alternative. If they fall, they fall.

Now imagine if TUSAŞ failed to bring Hürkuş on time or T-70 on time. Or something went wrong, and they had to go back to the design stage. Oh, wait...

Turkiye is full of conspircy theories.

I cant blame the Baykar family lets not forget what happened to Vechi Kurkus and Nuri Pasha.

Nuri Pasha got killed in a accident in his weapons factory. "ACCIDENT". While Vechi Hurkus had his talent wasted and died a poor man. Only until now we acknowledged his talent and achievements. What happened to the domestic submarine built in Ataturks time? Yeah it was scrapped right after his death.

How can we be so sure?? politics and politicians will ruin the industry. There has been numerous cases.

Baykar's production capacity has been updated. They plan to produce 500 TB2 and 40 Akıncı next year.

I think you misunderstood the comment. I think he stated that they have produced 500 TB2s and are planning to produce 240 next year. on Akinci, 40 would be the accumulated total number at the end of next year.

Correct me if I am mistaken, but please double check your source.
