Dozens of CATS FLIRs are delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces. The biggest delivery since the introduction of CATS.

Is there a timeline for Aselflir F500C? I don't remember hearing about it for a long time.

I have a 2 question for yours ;

1- There is a any possility about convert a anka's to aksungur ?

ANKA-AKSUNGUR-%C4%B0HA-KGK-HGK.jpg

I dont see any requirement to anka-s after the tb-2-S and Tb-3 . All of us know that anka and aksungur use same basement. So converting to anka's to aksungur or selling anka's second hand to other countries and make new aksungurs more logical.

2- On the other hand nowadays we are sees awacs-uavs who can carry 200 km ranged aesa radars like that :

so what if we attach a aksunguror akıncı 2 or 4 radar guided bvr aa missile and that uav will make a escort to awacs ucav ?

Booster can be defeat launch speed disadvantage of ucavs when compared jet ucavs.

Cheap a2a denied area ?

Entire body of the plane must be scrapped, only engines, propellers, optics and other components can be used. Makes no sense, if there were such a need Ankas would be sold second hand and all new production can be made Aksungur.

What I would like to see is UAV AWACS sending radar and tracking coverage to cheaper non-sensor based UAVs, basically loitering missile racks to fire missiles at adversaries aircrafts.

The whole air picture could be sensor fused between manned and unmanned aircrafts, unmanned aircrafts being the arrows, and manned aircraft being the shield and spear.

There's a lot of variations that can be made, all that is required is a solid data-link and artificial intelligence to fall back if data-links are out of action.

during his speach at Yildiz Technical University Ahmet Akyol stated that

- they will focus on production and integration of EW systems, early warning and maritime surveillance radars on UAVs in the coming days

-another topic was the aim of generalising national pasive radar

An important bandwidth lacking in Turkey for passive radar systems due to almost unexistent DVB-T broadcasting. TRT tried to do, but not supported after.

quite an interesting point indeed!!! seems Digital Video Broadcasting increases the efficiency in the use of radio spectrum & New bandwidths among other things.

''The authority on the digital terrestrial switchover – RTÜK (Radio and Television Supreme Council) has decided that the transition will begin in 2013, with digital and analog broadcasts continuing simultaneously until 2015. In 2015, the analog switch off will take place and DVB-T2 has been accepted as the standard for digital terrestrial broadcasts in Turkey.'' BUT as you wrote unfortunately, it is not very common in Turkey, it is still in the testing phase
