Wheels look a little small but it may be due to the fact that it can take off without speeding too much. Larger wheels are good for speed but you want them small for weight saving.

I can not hold the tears anymore that I had been hold for the MMU. These are historic days for Turkish aviation history. I am very proud to be one of the people who can tell these days to the next generations.

It is designed that way to use internal volume effectively. Kızılelma has an internal weapons bay. Smaller landing gears not only mean less weight but also means more internal volume for other uses. Of course, there is a limit to it.
