maybe it was a rough landing so they are not willing to share it with the public, i'm just speculating here, otherwise such an amazing achievement would have already been shared.
cant' wait to see Baykar troll General dynamics on X with a funny message.
imagine " @generaldynamics take off is easy, wanna try landing ? need help call Baykar hotline "

that would be the most outrageous troll ever in aero history. it may be childish but i secretly hope they do some stupid sh@t like this.
would f@cking frame the post :)

Nose mounted Flir on the new Akıncı test. A two gimbal mounted version would be very interesting for ISR missions.

Maybe WAMI (Wide-Area Motion Imagery), WAPS (Wide-Area Persistent Imagery) like capability similar to Gorgon Stare program in development.

Distributed Aperture System (DAS):
ASELSAN DAS

Technical specifications:

ASELSAN DAS is an advanced infrared sensor system that provides 360-degree all-round visibility for aircraft. It enables simultaneous detection and tracking of threats from all directions, including aircraft, missiles and drones.

Key features of the ASELSAN DAS:

All-round visibility: the system utilizes multiple infrared sensors strategically positioned around the aircraft to provide complete 360-degree coverage.

Threat detection: It detects and tracks potential threats in real time, enabling early warning and response.

Situational awareness: Integration with the cockpit display provides pilots with enhanced situational awareness, supporting decision making in critical situations.

Integration: The DAS can be seamlessly integrated into existing avionics systems and works with other sensor systems to provide comprehensive threat analysis.

Wonderful!!! If all these features were possible, it could replace the 4.5 generation fighters.

Finally this is the next seroius Step, as soon as the weapons and target identification tests are completed, these drones must immediately go into series production at least 60 units + 10 options for the Navy, Gendarmerie/Army/Police and Air Force as first Batch.

20-30 pcs. TCG Anadolu/Navy
20 pcs Gendarmerie/Army/Police
20 pcs Air Force

We should also consider some of the TB2 drones in stock at least 40-50 pieces. Refurbished to Africa & Eastern Europe + Ukraine for sale.
The Money could then be used to finance part of the second batch.

Unless I miscalculated, TB-3 completed its first landing test just below 100 meters.

I know the Navy is planning to procure more than 30.

Congratulatory message from Haluk Görgün, President of SSB:

Bayraktar TB-3 made world record as the first UCAV, capable of both taking off and landing from a ship with a short runway! This success is an indicator not only of the Turkish defense industry, but also of our pionering in the global race in aerospace technologies. Turkiye won this race!

Developed with domestic and national facilities, TB-3 is a groundbreaking innovation in the field of our national naval aviation. With its flight time endurance, high payload capacity and now the ability to land and take off from a ship with a short runway, TB-3 is an approach that opens the door to a new era in future defense technologies. Turkiye entered naval aviation at the highest level!

I would like to sincerely congratulate our engineers, technicians and all the teams, especially our Baykar Tech company, who contributed to this historic achievement. Turkiye, with its perseverance and determination, has taken a leading place in a global race.

We are proud of our Baykar and our Defense Industry!

TB-3 True Force Multiplier

Well done. Btw these tests need to be conducted with payload as well.

And with Domestic engine
Indigenous engine, indigenous flight control system, indigenously designed airframe, indigenous munitions, indigenous avionics and related payloads, indigenous system engineering. This makes the significance of this achievement even more profound.
