Very sad to see that Ukraine has effectively been abandoned at a time when it needs support the most.
Any 'real' NATO involvement such as sending troops will be seen as an act of aggression now unless Russia commits inhumane acts that justify NATO response.
I know Turkey isn't in the greatest position to respond but its a real shame that greater support was not given. For example, Turkey could have cooperated with Ukraine to defend Serpent island and even major coastal cities such as Odessa. If Russia continues its invasion it will be inevitable that Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk will be captured, therefore saying farewall to any engine cooperation (delaying major defence projects such as MIUS and T929)
I think had NATO supported Turkey over Syria and had they not supported the opposing side of Turkey in every conflict, the Turks probably would have gone to war right now with Russia. Even then Turkey has done more for Ukraine then most, sold them drones and what not. Didn't just send them helmets like the Germans or do nothing like the Greeks.
I mean come on PKK/YPG terrorists promoted as freedom fighters, arming them with all sorts of weapons and supporting their territorial ambitions against Turkey. Or how about France working with Russia in supporting Haftar against the legitimate government of Libya against Turkey.
When Turks go into battle against Russia and her proxies we have to make contingency for how the west and NATO will also attack and harm us. No other nation on earth has both the USA and Russia against her.
I think people in the west need to start taking Turkeys side of the story into account. NATO has screwed Turkey more then anyone in the recent future. The moment we entered syria god knows how many military sanctions were placed against us.
Now people looking to Turkey to do something, to save the day in Ukraine. We already challenging Russia in the caucuses, Syria, Libya and working to extend influence into central Asia to pull the Turkic republics away from Russia.
As for Britain its easy for Bojo to chat shit, his country is far from the conflict. NATO can deploy a hundred thousand troops to Turkey and we can get this war on if they want, that way we know the west isnt using and setting Turkey up.
