It seems like the Russian airborne assault on Gostomel/Hostomel airport failed miserably. The Russians lost 6-7 helicopters (2 of them are Ka-52). Most of the troops at the airport are killed by Ukrainian Spetsnaz and Ukrainian national guards. Some survivors run to the nearby forests.

Very sad to see that Ukraine has effectively been abandoned at a time when it needs support the most.

Any 'real' NATO involvement such as sending troops will be seen as an act of aggression now unless Russia commits inhumane acts that justify NATO response.

I know Turkey isn't in the greatest position to respond but its a real shame that greater support was not given. For example, Turkey could have cooperated with Ukraine to defend Serpent island and even major coastal cities such as Odessa. If Russia continues its invasion it will be inevitable that Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk will be captured, therefore saying farewall to any engine cooperation (delaying major defence projects such as MIUS and T929)

I think had NATO supported Turkey over Syria and had they not supported the opposing side of Turkey in every conflict, the Turks probably would have gone to war right now with Russia. Even then Turkey has done more for Ukraine then most, sold them drones and what not. Didn't just send them helmets like the Germans or do nothing like the Greeks.

I mean come on PKK/YPG terrorists promoted as freedom fighters, arming them with all sorts of weapons and supporting their territorial ambitions against Turkey. Or how about France working with Russia in supporting Haftar against the legitimate government of Libya against Turkey.

When Turks go into battle against Russia and her proxies we have to make contingency for how the west and NATO will also attack and harm us. No other nation on earth has both the USA and Russia against her.

I think people in the west need to start taking Turkeys side of the story into account. NATO has screwed Turkey more then anyone in the recent future. The moment we entered syria god knows how many military sanctions were placed against us.

Now people looking to Turkey to do something, to save the day in Ukraine. We already challenging Russia in the caucuses, Syria, Libya and working to extend influence into central Asia to pull the Turkic republics away from Russia.

As for Britain its easy for Bojo to chat shit, his country is far from the conflict. NATO can deploy a hundred thousand troops to Turkey and we can get this war on if they want, that way we know the west isnt using and setting Turkey up.

Realistically Russia knows only Turkey has shown any balls to counter Russia, so in case of potential Turkish action they have pacified the 2 nations that would provide military support to Turkey. Pakistan shouldn't be meeting them now, especially because if there is one other nation that can be pulled into this war its Turkey.

I never took Imran Khan seriously. For me he is like Tom Cruise being president of the USA. Even Pervez Musharraf was better than Imran Khan.

Crimean Tatars are facing Tatars from Tatarstan.

Reminds me of the Uzbek and Turkmen mujahideen of Afghanistan who had to fight Uzbek and Turkmen troops serving the Soviets.

Rumours of Chechens fighting for the Ukrainian side while Kadirov sends his mercernaries to fight alongside Russian troops.

In first Chechen war you had Ukrainian volunteers fighting for the Chechens. A lot of Chechens felt the need to repay Ukraine.

On youtube there was old footage of a Ukrainian volunteer who was a Non Muslim by the way chanting Allahu Akbar with the Chechens.

And said one day we will march onto moscow.

Too bad I cant find the footage as youtube has nothing more than purged old war footages while allowing gay content and other woke crap.

Why so many Turks hate Russia? This is an opportunity for Turkey to join Russia and CHina and Iran to create a opposition bloc against the US and UK pirati

Our NATO allies ten times bigger threat to our existance than Russians , PKK's main sponsor is U.S and EU countries. Not the mention NATO's new bulwark is Greece they are ones given all kind of brand new goodies(Rafaelas , Apaches ,Fremms ,F-35s , Blok-70s ) and many American bases builded upon Turkish border while we are sanctioned to hell. When asked about U.S. declared those bases not builts againts Turkiye but againts Russia(as if) now its high time those bases fullfill their supposed anti-Russian goal.Go and be sad about Greeks not doing anything to confront Russians!

Not our problem period. We should just stay neutral and of course send some thoughs and prayers to Ukrain.
