I keep on hearing about how Russia has run of guns and missiles for the past 2 years.

Honestly this shits paints such a false hope.

Ukrainians gotta tell Western Media to shut the fck up at times.

They have run out significantly. They're never going to run out entirely. Anyone who doesn't think they are rationing artillery shells and missiles, are kidding themselves. They went from firing 40,000 shells per day, down to 20,000 shells. Now they're down into the same 5000-7000 range that Ukraine is. That reduction isn't out of the goodness of their hearts. They tore through millions of shells last year, with little to show for it. Now they're getting wrecked in counter battery fire.

Now, let's talk missiles. Gone are the days when Russia can afford to launch volleys consisting of dozens of missiles into Ukraine. Last year they were doing that weekly. Now they're firing a handful of cruise / balistic missiles simultaneously, mixed in with drones. They have reached cruise / balistic missile thresholds that are uncomfortable for widespread use... Otherwise, they'd be wreaking havoc with them. Quite simply, they are not.

Russia is not going to run out of artillery shells and cruise missiles. They're simply going to exhaust their stockpiles to the point that there will be shortages across the front. That will lead to the collapse of defensive positions and the continued destruction of their artillery systems.

Russia's economy is not only tanking but they will be out of shells, drones and missiles any day now as well. Also the Russians are being the ones thrown into white vans to fight this war, Ukrainians are the ones volunteering.

Inflation has been rampant in Russia, despite every effort to sell off foreign currency in an attempt to manipulate and stabilize their currency. They're gutting their treasury to fund this war, with a currency that has similar value to that of monopoly money.

Wait and see. This war will not end well economically for Russia. The people of Russia will pay for it with even lesser standard of living than they already have.

It'll be glorious the watch the miserable people of Russia suffer economically. Especially as the their ultra corrupt overlords maintain their fortunes by the sucking the country dry. Maybe we'll see the 20% of inhabitants without indoor plumbing rise to 30%

There's actually a video recently talking in depth about the Russian economy which to my surprise actually goes against the narratives of the West well for their audience.

In summary:

1. Russia's GDP in some of its oblasts particularly in the North West federal district, Kaluga and Kaliningrad dropped due to sanctions and loss of trade with Europe, decline varying from 5-12% in GDP output
2. But surprisingly the war kickstarted growth in previously dying industrial oblasts, especially in Oblasts bordering Belarus where Russia's military-industrial complex are situated where growth are in the 13-15% range in GDP output. Ironically this is because Ukraine destroyed so many Russian military equipment that kickstarted production again and prevented Russia's MIC death and ironically expanding it. Remember Russia now produces 7 Times the amount of ammo the US and Europe produced.
3. Construction is actually booming while people are leaving Russia, this is because of Russia's surge in construction activity for newly expanded infrastructure supporting trade with China in the Far East.
4. Oil revenue export jumped in 2022, again ironically driven by sky-high prices due to sanctions before sliding down again in 2023
5. The next two would've probably enraged Western audiences, the Rubble fell by 25% BUT it helps Russian govt to keep pumping money, especially towards military-related pay, because Russian troops are paid in Rubble, not Dollars lol
6. The last revelation is that Russian real income...actually grows, by 4% since last year. Salaries grew by 15% and unemployment reached a record low (3%) due to ironically (again) the flight of Russians abroad, leveling the supply and demand in the job market in favor of workers LMAO

On the loser side is surprisingly Western countries like Germany, which lost access to cheap gas, and their manufacturing industry is coping with the storm right now with no easy choice between the alternatives.

Russian air defence system destroyed in Crimea, Ukraine says​

Ukraine says it has destroyed a sophisticated Russian air defence system in occupied Crimea.
Kyiv's security service (SBU) and navy carried out the attack on a Russian facility near Yevpatoriya using cruise missiles and drones, a Ukrainian intelligence source told the BBC.
Video footage on social media showed a fire and smoke near the city, in the west of the Russian-occupied peninsula.
Moscow has yet to directly comment on the claim.
Instead, the Russian defence ministry said it had shot down several Ukrainian aerial drones and thwarted a separate attack on a naval patrol vessel.

Earlier on Thursday, a number of explosions were reported in the Crimean peninsula, which Russia illegally occupied in 2014.

According to the BBC's intelligence source, the Ukrainian operation used drones to take out radar equipment, then cruise missiles to hit air defence missile launchers.
"After disabling the radar stations, the navy units hit the S300 and S400 'Triumph' systems, worth $1.2bn, by two Neptune cruise missiles," the source said.

Neptune missiles were designed by Ukraine's military for naval use but have been modified for ground targets as well.
No details were provided on the number of the batteries that had been hit.
Citing local residents, Ukrainian media reported that explosions happened at around 05:40 local time (02:40 GMT) and smoke was seen near the military base.
BBC Verify has analysed footage on social media of smoke rising and believes it to be of the attack on Yevpatoriya.

Images of the smoke were shared on Ukrainian channels on Telegram

Russia's ministry of defence, on the other hand, downplayed the importance of the attack and said that they shot down 11 drones over Crimea.
Russian-appointed local officials have not reported any damage in the military facility or the air defence systems.
The S400 air defence system has been in service since 2007, and is an upgraded version of the Cold War-era S300.
The most up-to-date version's missiles can travel 400km (250 miles) and operate and attack targets at altitudes of 48km (30 miles).
The S400 can destroy aircraft and ballistic missiles.

Ukraine appears to be stepping up it operations on occupying forces in Crimea.

It launched a major attack yesterday on the port of Sevastopol, the headquarters of Russia's Black Sea fleet.
Ukrainian officials claim that two Russian naval ships sustained serious damage.
Russian officials said 10 missiles were used in the attack, which reportedly left 24 people injured. The use of the missiles served to demonstrate Ukraine's increased use of long-range munitions.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's finance ministry said on Thursday that the country would receive $1.25bn (about £1bn) from the United States as part of the World Bank's PEACE in Ukraine project.
Officials said the funds would be used for non-military purposes and would be directed towards vulnerable groups and for the provision of educational and medical services.

only one launcher and not confirmed yet from the russian side being a S-400 or S-300 launcher. Its like the best thing people can do here on the Ukraine side is grasp for straws at this point as any kind of significant achievement for some reason. I am still wating like since for over for people to show me Ukrainians destroy more military equipment than Russia

Edit: just found out from sprinter99800 Satellite images of the air defense position near Yevpatoria were taken by the enemy at the end of August, a couple of weeks before the strike. Comparing the image for August 28 and September 14 allows us to detect not only traces of arrival and burnt grass. Due to the speed of the image taken, the satellite was able to catch vehicles from the S-300/400 air defense system literally in the process of leaving their position after arrival......in other words probably just burned grass to make it seem a launcher was destroyed.

Edit2: is there visual proof of the submarine being destroyed or is this cope BS again like an S-400 launcher show images weeks apart and stating that a vehicle that appears to be missing has been destroyed

MOSCOW, September 14. /TASS/. Russian specialists have developed an FPV drone, dubbed Vorobey (Sparrow), weighing 1.3 kilos with a 500-gram ordnance round for making strikes on armored vehicles, Andrey Bratenkov, executive director of the Spektr engineering firm, told TASS.

He said that the drone, which carries a cumulative payload developed by a Russian research institute, had been successfully tested in the special military operation zone. According to Bratenkov, these drones will be deployed in combat in the near future, thus ensuring greater efficiency due to their lower mass and heightened effectiveness.

"The round of ordnance weighs about 500 grams and is capable of penetrating armor of up to 200 mm [thick]. As a result, in terms of its properties, the Vorobey drone turns out to be a mini-Lancet. The first batch of drones and ordnance has already been handed over for use in the special [military] operation zone," Bratenkov said. The drone weighs 1.3 kilos and has a maximum flight range of up to 5 kilometers.

The specialist named low cost and mass as the advantages of the new FPV drone. "Vorobey has turned out to have quite a ‘bite,’ because it can break through armored hardware. Its prime cost is much lower than that of the Lancet, about 150,000 rubles (about $1,500 - TASS). The drone is small and its length is about nine inches. One cannot drag a Lancet to the frontline on foot, while it is possible to carry about 10 Vorobey drones without any particular effort and the effectiveness is much greater this way," Bratenkov said.

The Spektr engineering firm, headquartered in Novosibirsk, develops and produces unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As reported earlier, the company has provided its Yozhik (Hedgehog) ground drone to be used for reconnaissance purposes in the special military operation.
