This is what Putin wants for the people of Russia... To be needlessly killed in terrible deaths, during meat waves that serve to save what's left of Russian armor, while your fellow countrymen abandon you. Hoping that the fire or the internal bleeding takes you quickly and ends your suffering.

This is Putin's Russia. Where only he matters and the people are just play things.

Ukrainian SBU doing great work against Russian air defense systems, using RAM drones that are much harder to jam than what Ukraine uses broadly across the front. Here is a compilation of 8 recently destroyed Russian air defense systems. These are hard to replace and important to neutralize to allow Ukraine to continue to use CAS.

One of the Russian snipers from the 40th Guards Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet spoke about combat work in Ukraine. To protect against drones and thermal imagers, snipers use special camouflage

I would have been interested to hear Trump's answer to the question put to him but he simply evaded it and rambled on talking so in the end I switched the video off.

Of course he evaded the question, because he had no convenient answer to it. Trump went to the debate to win over the electorate, and no answer to that question would have helped him.

He knows very well that he should keep his supporters beliving that he will end the war in day one, but at the same time he doesn’t want to commit to any position related to the war, since he will most likely have to change his position once he is president and is briefed by his security team.

US military bases in Europe raise security threat levels

US military bases across Europe were put on a heightened state of alert over the weekend. The security threat condition has been rised to "Charlie" level, which is applied when "an incident occurs or intelligence is received indicating some form of terrorist action or targeting against personnel or facilities is likely." It wasn't immediately specified what exactly caused the change in force protection.

I hope this is not what happens but I expect it will. I gather that the biggest supply of recruits for Russia are men from the poorer parts of the country. High losses from those areas do not seem to register with the Russian population as much as losses from the richer areas would.

If reported numbers of Russian daily losses are anywhere near accurate (1,000+ per day), Russia looks set to lose many tens of thousands more men during the summer months. All for what? A marginal increase in the Ukrainian territory held by Russia. This World War One approach of gaining a few destroyed villages or losing them at the cost of thousands of men's lives is grotesque in the extreme. I hope that the deepening economic and financial problems affecting Russia will force Putin to rein back on offensive activities, so reducing loss of life from present levels.

I hear that the US is tightening sanctions on banks, making it even more difficult for Russia to trade internationally than it is now. The threat of sanctions against countries importing goods and re-exporting them to Russia may also impact Russia's production of more sophisticated weapons.

I am predicting the war will probably be over before January 20. I don't think Zelensky wants Trump to work with him and Putin where the next peace plans screws Ukraine over than what Biden's administration might set up with him and Putin. Coming to no agreements Trump is very likely to cut the billion dollars of aid making negotiations more tougher and tougher.

Reported number of Ukranian daily losses are even worse than that, do you believe that too? Which is correct? Is any of if correct?

Good old Us of A , they are going to save your asses like in September 1941.
Don't tell me that you could held the limes without Yenkee help?
Then , just like after Russo Japanese war in which Britain and USA help Japan to hammer you, you will make the agreement. This time solely against Muslims..
How possibly you can miss the bait?

Indeed, no 'reliable' data on Ukrainian losses. Are Russian losses roughly correct? I do not know but I see trends in the numbers reported and they seem to be high at the moment. If, for example, one month Russian losses are reported as 500 per day and the next month they are reported as 1,000 per day, I see them as having got much worse (whatever the real numbers are).

Russians are doing so great :)
Here is something from russian forum topwar
"
A colleague returned from the North Military District after being wounded for recovery and surgery; he left as a volunteer four months ago. The drone flew into the back, somehow miraculously survived.
Both they and we have big losses. Stories about the ratio of 5 to 1 or 10 to 1 - pi....sh.
There are as many drones as there are mosquitoes. Traditionally, their communications are much better, the interaction between artillery, missiles and air defense according to NATO patterns.
The fighters are the same as ours. Ours go to storm houses in populated areas in groups; it’s good if half of them reach their destination.
A wounded colleague lay with his partner in the house for 4 days, waiting for evacuation. Only the two of them made it home from the department.
In general, the front is a total anus. "

Russia has begun to study Ukrainian American-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles. Three laser ring gyroscopes are being studied that help the guidance system keep the ATACMS missile on a given ballistic trajectory and a GPS antenna that provides correction in the initial and final phases of the missile's flight.
According to the technical specialist, “We can analyze the operation of rocket systems throughout the entire flight path. The correction base, how much it can be adjusted.” Details in the video.
