Obviously the war is hurting Russia and its economy and the people and they are losing alot of soldiers, but Ukraine just has a much lower ceiling in terms of this and will struggle more and more no matter the support they get, its just facts, people can hope all they want but if Ukraine was in a great position and thinking they can actually win the war, Zelensky would not be saying they can't handle another year of war and that the war needs to end this year.
Depends what is meant by Ukraine winning the war. IMO

1 Ukraine will not be able to force the Russian ground military to withdraw back into Russia
2 Ukraine will not be able to force the Russian ground military to retreat back to where is was 24 Feb 2022
3 economic crisis may force Russia to abandon its attack on Ukraine and withdraw from some of the land it has occupied since 24 Feb 2022
4 acute economic crisis may force Russia to abandon its attack on Ukraine and withdraw from most of or all of the land it has occupied since 24 Feb 2022
5 ?

Putin set out to take over the government of Ukraine. If Ukraine it is not overwhelmed and survives as a state, that could be viewed as Ukraine winning (retaining its sovereignty).

Only problem is from what it seems like the Europeans want Ukraine to get all the land back, which is completely unrealistic, so i have little hopes for these negotiations.

Depends on what you do with that 3%.

You are already in an alliance with Türkiye, its called NATO!
Another alliance is not gonna happen, you(EU) kept Türkiye out of the EU and now you want help from Türkiye to go against Trump(SDF/YPG) and Putin(Russian gas and trade).
Türkiye can only send a peace force, nothing more.
Arabs(GCC) would never go against Trump or Putin so forget that.

Not possible, you(EU) lick Israeli boots which also means going against the US.
So forget that to.

You have French nukes, should be enough.

Btw,Moldova is under the Turkish umbrella.
If you're talking about the Gagauz people, even though their language is Turkic, they're 100% Russian a££kissers.

I'm not worried about a Russian invasion, they're allready a spent force,by the time they reach Kiev, we'll have colonies on Mars.Them marching on Romania,Moldova, or even the Baltics ,is a severe no go.The Poles would mopp the floor with them even today, in 5 years it might not even be a contest.
An alliance with Turkey would be preferable, but, even without, the EU is fine.
Trump won't be allowed to finish his mandate, he'll loose the primaries anyway.

@TR_123456 btw, today in London, there were participants from every EU country(except Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria...no surprises here),plus...Canada,Norway, and....the FM of Turkyie

The only reason why they do this talk about peacekeeping forces in ceasefire Ukraine, is because they want to roleplay as relevant.

The very thought that 10k European soldiers would be a deterrent against Russia, while a one Million hohol army isn't, is laughable.
Taking this serious, gives them credits. Even when they don't do it. The very fact that we talk about the possibility, makes them appear strong.
This roleplay is an insult. An insult to Ukrainians, an insult to Russia and an insult to the USA.
You could call it: "information warfare"

Trump just dumped Europe for Russia. My brain is still trying to process that he actually said this.

If those numbers are correct than why does Europe need the US as a backstop for their peacekeepers? Your country voted for Russia in the UN and now I am hearing reports they want an alliance with Russia in syria because they don't want other parts of the country to have any Turkish influence.
As I said Russia has 4-5 times more manpower than Ukraine. So even if they lose 1.5 times more they still win the war on attrition.

Same was with Germany in WW2.

The use of the Russian FPV drone "Prince Vandal Novgorodsky", controlled via fiber optic cable. The video shows the strike of the FPV drone "Vandal" on the Ukrainian armored personnel carrier International MaxxPro, equipped with additional protection. The video was filmed in the village of Kazachya Loknya, Kursk region of Russia. The armored personnel carrier International MaxxPro is produced by the American company Navistar International and was accepted into service in 2007. As a result of the strike of the FPV drone "Vandal", the Ukrainian armored personnel carrier International MaxxPro was destroyed by fire. The fate of the crew is unknown.

British 🇬🇧 Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced that Thales will produce 5000 Martlet LLM air defense missiles for Ukraine. The Martlet missiles have proven extremely effective at destroying Russian drones and cruise missiles.

The contract is valued at $2 Billion usd and will see 200 additional employees hired at the Thales factory in Ireland to facilitate the production line. Missile deliveries take place throughout 2025 and 2026 and there will be a $750 million usd option to continue production into 2027 if further orders are required.

I'd like to see Germany 🇩🇪, France 🇫🇷, Italy 🇮🇹 and Sweden 🇸🇪 announce similarly scaled orders for IRIS-T, SAMP/T, Mistral and, RB 70NG missiles in their own respective markets.

No its verifiable Russian demographics. Not propagandized KIA statistics.
So it came to you in a dream?
It seems Trump is saying that both Ukraine and Europe cant win a war against Russia.

by telling it like it is I hope he means how the war started or Ukraine's actual losses in the state of the union address.

Official footage of the use of FAB-250 aerial bombs equipped with the UMPK module in Ukraine by a Russian Su-34 aircraft. FAB-250 M-62 high-explosive bombs were adopted for service in 1962, the bomb weighs 227 kilograms and contains 100 kilograms of explosives. The air strike was carried out on the deployment and concentration points of Ukrainian army units in the settlement of Gulyaipole, Zaporizhia Oblast. A video of the strike by the Russian FAB-250 bomb filmed with an eyewitness in the Kharkiv Oblast has been added.

24th September 1941, was the last day that the comrades would have any food left but USA came, just in time.
So not even the attraction, thats on their own.

People that keep claiming that Russia's manpower advantage is going to lead to them inevitably winning the war, are stuck decades in the past.

Against thousands of drones, satellites, modern artillery, minefields, and the capability of modern weapons supporting modern defensive infrastructure, it's nearly impossible to win a near peer war based on infantry and the ability to continuously sustain losses. You need mechanized infantry and armor support to break through defensive positions. Russia still has adequate levels of armor remaining, but they're burning through it at deeply unsustainable levels. That's not my opinion, we have open source intelligence that proves that reality and we've seen shortages in some sectors lead to Russia using things like Chinese 4-wheelers and a huge number civilian vehicles to transport infantry, rather than conventional APCs and IFVs.

Ukraine's entire defensive strategy revolves around inflicting mass destruction on Russia's armor and most capable artillery, forcing the Russians to use thousands (sometimes tens of thousands of infantry), to take minor objectives over long periods of time. Bahkmut, which led to the effective destruction of Wagner is a perfect example of that strategy. Avdiivka and Pokrovsk have been similar examples. In all these places Russian casualties have been hellatious and deeply exacerbated by the amount of armor that Russia chewed up trying to take those cities.

It's not that manpower doesn't matter at all. Of course it does. But modern offensive war requires that ability to attack in mechanized fashion and Russia relies on that strategy as much as anyone. Ukraine is slowly, but surely de-mechinizing Russia, which will increasingly hinder their offensive capabilities.

Funny, the President and Vice President admitted Europe helping Ukraine won't win the war, Trump referenced Zelensky that he and Europe need the US, or it will be a very very long war and that is Zelensky's own words. Translation: Russia > Europe + Ukraine(according to the US and Ukrainian Presidents). You have open source intelligence but you don't have the Intelligence the U.S. President has which is the best in the world and they are telling you they have no solution for making Ukraine win the war. Even if I play along with you that your open-source intelligence is correct the Pentagon has concluded no amount of support for Ukraine can win the war since they inform the commander in chief before the commander in chief makes the choices.

23 in half hours from now I recommend everyone here to grab some popcorn for the state of the union address because I am sure no one is going to like what they are about to hear later. Graham is like the most Russian hating neocon next to john mccain and john bolton and you know Ukraine is fucked if he did a 180 turn for his support.

In Poland's 🇵🇱 recently delivered 46th military aid package for Ukraine, the Poles delivered 60 additional T-72 MBTs. Poland continues to divest large quantities of Soviet made armor to Ukraine as it receives American made M1A2 Abrams and South Korean K2 Black Panthers.

The historic Russian strength has also been theres more where that came from.

Manpower isn't just infantry strength it also equals military production strength.
