During the WW2 US provided $31.4 bln of aid to UK (equal to $595 bln in today's dollars). Without this aid UK had very little chance against Germany. While Russia supplied strategic resources to Germany during the Battle of Britain.
Today in 2022 No country is standing against Russia more than Britain and Turkiey But you know what lets impose more sanctions on Turkiey for some reason...

Russia sends Su-35 fighter jets to Belarus for exercises

Russian Defense Ministry announced plans to send 12 Su-35 fighters to Belarus

The number of participants in the maneuvers was not called. But almost all the Armed Forces of Belarus and parts of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Federation will be involved in them.

Russian Su-35 fighter jets have begun redeploying to Belarus to participate in the Allied Resolve-2022 joint exercises. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Saturday, January 22.

"The crews of Su-35S multi-role fighters of the Eastern Military District, involved in checking the response forces of the Union State, have begun to relocate to the territory of the Republic of Belarus," the report says.

The Russian Defense Ministry added that the crews will work out flights to the maximum range, landing at Belarusian airfields, as well as joint preparation for repeated flights with Belarusian specialists.

They noted that in preparation for the redeployment, the engineering and technical staff of the air regiment carried out a detailed check of the operation of all aircraft systems and equipment.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced plans to send 12 Su-35 fighters and a division of short-range air defense systems Pantsir-S to Belarus for exercises.

Where Europe went wrong was being antagonistic towards Turkey. I remember when Turkey took down the Russian jet, the european narrative was "kick" Turkey out of NATO. Most europeans removed their air defence systems and incremental sanctions have been applied on Turkey by Europe. Then to make matters worse europeans supported greek hostility against Turkey. The Russians must have loved that, the only nation to show any balls towards Russia and europeans turn on that nation, with their anti-muslim, anti-non white sentiments. Putin must have been rubbing his palms at the stupidity of europeans nations.

We even have the french and Russia allied with warlord haftar in Libya and europe tried to undermine Turkey in Libya. The EU tried to place an arms embargo on the Libyan government, but allowed weapons to be shipped into Haftar from Russia and the Gulf states. That lead to the incident where the French boat tried to threaten the Turks and the Turks locked onto the french boat only for macron to go crying to NATO.

The only real counter to Russia in the past 10 years has been Turkey, whether it be syria, iraq, libya, azerbaijan, supplying weapons to Ukraine etc. Turkey is the only serious nation in NATO outside the USA in countering Russian expansionism.

Just like Turkey sold drones to poland, the moment the polish got a few Kurdish refugees they screamed to the world shit talking Turkey.

But if a day ever comes where Turkey says F-it and decides not to work against Russia but instead to submit to her interests, most of europe from the south to the north into central europe will come under Russian control.

Turkey on the side of Russia is game over for most of Europe.
Nail, head! Putin the weasel became the champion of the cross against the big bad Turk and Erdogan’s jihadis. Rednecks and Putin bots flooded the place with misinformation, add to that a pinch of jew/Israeli craftiness and before you could say hosht Kopekler, the west was back to its anti-Islamic and anti-Turkish best. Unforgivable, the lot of them.

Also lets not fall for cheap soviet style propaganda. Russia is not a victim. It has the worlds largest landmass, her population is the largest in europe almost double that of Germany or Turkey. She has one of the most powerful militaries on earth and has the largest nuclear war head arsenal on earth.

Russian doesn't need more land, its simple imperialism by soviet style oligarchies from putin to all his mates.

If Russia feels threatened, then every nation on earth can claim to feel threatened and justify any expansionism. For Istanbul to have room to breath according to Russian logic she must annex bulgaria and northern greece, to give a buffer.

also the various embargoes, the support for the kurds, left a a very bad taste in the mouth, now some of these nations will get annexed by the russians. We will remind them and maybe already reminding them of their actions and the consequences of those.

Most importantly we have to be smart and not get sucked into this evolving greater conflict in europe, especially when the russians decide to make their moves on nato nations.

The messages coming out of america/germany/france should be worrying for every eastern euro nation. Its almost like they are making backdoor deals with putin in the hope russia will side with them against China. Very foolish, Putin will take everything you are offering and wont go against China.

It starts to make sense why germany was so angry at Turkey selling drones to Ukraine/Poland.

America saved you in WW2 while Russia provided strategic resources to Germany.
to be more accurate:
USA helped UK and USSR by provided money and military equipment at WW2 and in the period after the Operation Barbarosa for the latter.
Before Operation Barbarosa, USSR provided not only strategic resources to the ally Germany, but also they split Poland.

Crimea will not return to Ukraine - the head of the German Navy
January 22, 2022, 16:00

The head of the German Navy, Vice Admiral Kai-Achim Schönbach, said that Ukraine would not be able to return the Crimea. He said this at a conference of the Indian Institute of Defense Studies named after Manohar Parrikar.

According to him, in order to join NATO, Ukraine needs to meet all the requirements of the Alliance, and now this is impossible due to the occupation.

"Regarding what happened in Ukraine. The Crimean peninsula is lost and it will never return. This is a fact," Shenbach said.

The head of the German Navy also spoke about Georgia's accession to NATO.

"It's not the same as with the Baltic states, because they were sovereign countries before Russia retreated from them," Schönbach said.

He said that Putin's goal is not "a small strip of Ukrainian land", but the split of the European Union and the restoration of respect "which he probably even deserves"

The Foreign Ministry reacted to the statement of the commander of the German Navy in the Crimea

"Even an attempt to understand Putin by the commander of the German Navy must have its moral, political and security limits. In this case, these limits are grossly violated. We demand a public refutation of the statements of the commander of the Navy by the German government, which affect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and undermine the efforts on the de-escalation of the situation in Europe, - said the speaker of the Foreign Ministry.

"The Crimean peninsula can only be lost in the imagination of the German vice admiral. Crimea will certainly return, thanks to the persistent efforts of Ukraine and its partners, who will show determination in countering the aggressor state. In this regard, it requires clarification from the German government, as the words of the commander of the Navy correlate with Germany's consistent support for the Crimean Platform," Nikolenko said.

Britain is the only country in history to lose two world wars, than have people claiming we were saved, more like stabbed in the front by the colonies twice.

Germany should stop encouraging Putin - Kuleba

January 22, 2022, 20:00

2703684.jpg

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba

Kuleba believes that Germany's statements harm efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba noted that Germany's statements regarding the impossibility of transferring defense weapons to Ukraine, in particular due to the provision of permission for this to third parties, the futility of the return of Crimea, as well as hesitation on disconnecting the Russian Federation from SWIFT, do not correspond to the level of relations with Ukraine and the current security situations.

"At present, the unity of the West in relation to Russia is more important than ever. To achieve it and contain the Russian Federation, we are all making great efforts together. The German partners must stop undermining unity with such words and actions and encourage Vladimir Putin to launch a new attack on Ukraine," he said. Kuleba.

Recall that Berlin called "useless" the supply of weapons to Kiev, and the head of the German Navy, Vice Admiral Kai-Achim Schönbach, said that Ukraine would not be able to return the Crimea.

It is al set up, insane quantities of various combat assets are movin up towards ukrainian border, this chips aid from west will not have any impact. Only real questiom here what is endgame for russians, do they plan to occupy whole ukraina or they have partial goals to connect and fortify already annexed teritories.
Turkiye should remain neutral and do usual diplomatic retoric about calming tension, etc.

The goal for the Russians is simply to overthrow the current people controlling Ukraine and put their own faction in power. For all the banging on about a Russian invasion, nobody has mentioned this as a goal or the goal. Russia may invade to support its operations to assassinate the current people in power in Ukraine, but it doesn't want to take land or occupy anything.

The Russians could have taken Georgia and Ukraine and Moldova if they wanted to, they didn't. What they do is topple the old regime and put their own government in place. Like in Hungry and Czechoslovakia and Afghanistan. The reason the Russians are on maneuvers is because they don't know what the people supporting to current people in control in Ukraine will target to hurt Russia in retaliation. My guess the Russian operation will be successful and over in a week, but the threat to Russia will continue for several months. So the Russians are plugging as many gaps as they can.

That makes sense, what i knew from past decade country is basicaly split 50 50 regarding support towards west or russia, maybe this coolness and confidence from russian side is not just because they have military superiority over ukrainians.
If war has to happen i hope it will be swift, decisive and minimal casualties possible. It would be cathastrofic for whole world if Ukraina become prolonged war conflict zone for longer period of time, especially because west does not really care to much about them.

I forgot to add, if russia meets all desired goals it will have some ramifications for Turkiye too, you can forget engine and military industry cooperation which gained traction in last years, that is is something you will have to deal with as it will probably slow down some of ongoing projects.
