British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss warned Russia that in the event of an invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin will get a war comparable to the campaigns in Afghanistan or Chechnya.
Only the difference the secretary should also take account to is Ukraine is closer, Moldova, Slovakia, poland and hungary borders will be closed from receiving any new weapons, Chechnya was in their own country I think they wont have problems leveling Ukraine to the ground with artillery and considering there might have been lessons learned from that invasion.

GENEVA, January 21. /TASS/. The United States will give its written response to Russia’s security guarantee initiatives next week, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Friday after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Geneva.

"I told him (Lavrov) that following the consultations that we'll have in the coming days with allies and partners, we anticipate that we will be able to share with Russia our concerns and ideas in more detail and in writing next week, and we agreed to further discussions after that," he said.

On December 17, 2021, the Russian Foreign Ministry published the draft agreements between Moscow and Washington on security guarantees and measures for ensuring the security of Russia and NATO member states.

Russian-US and Russian-NATO talks on security guarantees were held last week. On January 10, Geneva hosted Russia-US consultations on these matters. On January 12, a Russia-NATO Council meeting was held in Brussels, and a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council was held in Vienna on the following day.

Ukraine will take part in the formation of the NATO Strategic Concept

NATO summit in Madrid to adopt new strategy

Ukraine's proposals will be based on the experience of confronting hybrid aggression, the Cabinet noted.

The North Atlantic Alliance invited Ukraine, along with other partners, to join the formation of the NATO Strategic Concept until 2030. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on Friday, January 21.

It is noted that the updated concept will give an understanding of the Alliance's policy for the next decade, in particular, cooperation with postgraduate countries.

"Both in Ukraine and in the capitals of the countries of the Alliance, there is an understanding that the common challenges that the democracies face today require a common response. We are grateful for the involvement of partners in the formation of the NATO Strategic Concept until 2030. It is important to have a common vision. Ukraine's proposals for the concept , in particular, will be based on the experience of confronting hybrid aggression over the past seven years," Stefanishina noted.

She stressed that the countries of the Alliance have already said a clear "no" to the aggressor to his ultimatums on NATO expansion.

"We hope that the new concept will provide strategic clarity in NATO-Ukraine relations until 2030. We would like to see strong commitment to NATO's open door policy and strengthening the Alliance's eastern flank," Stefanishyna added.

Bulgarian President Calls Russia's Demand for NATO Unacceptable

Rumen Radev does not like Russia's ultimatum statement

Official Sofia called on Moscow to engage in a constructive dialogue with NATO member states.

Russia's demand to withdraw NATO forces from Bulgaria is unacceptable and meaningless. Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said this, his press service reports on Friday, January 21.

He recalled that there are no permanently based allied contingents and NATO military equipment in Bulgaria.

"The sovereign decision on such a permanent presence or temporary deployment belongs to Bulgaria in accordance with our allied obligations. Our country does not accept ultimatums from anyone," Radev said.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry expressed itself in a similar vein, calling on Russia to engage in a constructive dialogue with NATO member states.

"The current crisis in the European security architecture, as well as the crisis in Ukraine and around it, must be resolved through diplomacy and dialogue," Sofia concluded.

Romania responded to the demand of the Russian Federation for the withdrawal of NATO troops

Deterrence is an integral part of NATO's collective defense mechanism, over which no third country can have veto power, Bucharest said.

The Romanian Foreign Ministry considers Russia's demands for the withdrawal of NATO forces from Romanian and Bulgarian territories to be inappropriate and unfounded. This was announced on Friday, January 21, by the press service of the department.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects as inappropriate and unfounded statements by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation regarding the Allied military presence on NATO's eastern flank. Such a request is unacceptable and cannot be negotiated, given that the position of deterrence is an integral part of NATO's collective defense mechanism, in respect of which no third country can have veto power," the statement said.

The ministry also noted that the presence of NATO forces in allied states is "a purely defensive reaction to the increasingly aggressive behavior of the Russian Federation."

The Foreign Ministry noted that the Alliance had previously rejected a Russian call for a reduction in NATO forces in all states of the North Atlantic Alliance that joined after 1997.

Recall that Russia, as security guarantees, demanded the withdrawal of NATO military from Bulgaria and Romania. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov before a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Geneva.

US & Russia meet in Geneva - Barely even LOOKED at Each Other

US & Russia meet in Geneva - Barely even LOOKED at Each Other
The meeting in Geneva between the US and Russia was scheduled to last two hours; it ended after only 90 minutes. This shows these are no negotiations for problem solving; only a final attempt to buy time. Last silence to hold your breath before the storm. After that meeting, the US said it is considering evacuating diplomat families from Ukraine "as a precaution" and Germany began moving Tanks out of storage.

The meeting began with a half-hearted handshake with US Secretary of State Blinken not even looking at Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, as shown above.

After the pleasantries, the two sides got down to business with Lavrov telling Blinken "I heard one of your last statements when you said you do not expect a breakthrough at these negotiations. We do not expect a breakthrough either. What we do expect is complete answers to our proposals."

Blinken, says "this is a critical moment" and that he "hopes we can test whether diplomacy remains open."

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that the Kremlin knew in advance that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken would not bring answers to Russia's proposals on security guarantees for talks in Geneva with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. "We knew in advance that he was not going to hand over [answers on guarantees]. In fact, this meeting is meant for someone else," Peskov said. "We expect both Lavrov and Blinken to have the opportunity to exchange views and compare the understanding of the results of the three rounds of negotiations," he added.

The meeting ended after about 90 minutes.

HAL TURNER ANALYSIS

So . . . no progress. At all. See where this is going?

Blinken did tell Lavrov the US will respond to Russia's proposals by January 30 with . . . get this . . . . "some ideas." It seems to ME this is nothing more than an attempt by the US to buy time. They are shipping unbelievable amounts of weapons into Ukraine and have sortied quite a number of ships as well. They need time to get all that gear in place.

"Russia is ready to defend its legitimate security interests, but there are no grounds to take its actions as an attempt to form some kind of exclusive zone of influence" the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement released today in response to media questions received at the press conference of Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

I see these talks as a mere formality, and a PR event. The truth is war was certain the moment NATO said they intend to continue encroaching on the Russian border.

Ukraine is nothing, this is about the bigger picture. Think the immovable object meeting the unstoppable force.

Russia can’t move, because there’s nowhere to move but deeper into their own territory. NATO has to continue because it’s owners won’t stop.

This is the impasse, and why everything now is about buying time and achieving the element of surprise. Either the US will conduct a major false flag or Russia will preemptively strike.

Putin will be finished if he doesn’t secure Russia.

Maybe a little delay for a week, but Putin didn't move all that hardware and manpower because he thought he might have a chance to intimidate the West with it. He knew from the start what eventually he was gonna have to do. He knows the US never lets anything be dictated to them. The US either wins big or loses big . The only thing anyone or any country especially the US ever understands without a doubt, is force.

Blinken told reporters, on Russia's security concerns, "US ready to take steps on a reciprocal basis."

Right. Sure. So ready he didn't even bother to bring written responses to Russia's written treaty proposals.

Lavrov says that "The Russian experience of dealing with the West on security issues is full with cases of broken promises." He's right.

It seems to me this issue has entered full dis-information mode. Lies on top of lies. Almost nothing that is said now, can be trusted. Want proof?

In a speech from Secretary Blinken, he said the US “will not treat the principles of sovereignty or territorial integrity, enshrined in the UN Charter and affirmed by the UN Security Council, as negotiable.” Sounds wonderful, right? Yet the US is currently illegally occupying a large part of Syria. It has no UN mandate to do so, and Damascus has not given it permission to be there. Also, Iraq's parliament has repeatedly asked the US to withdraw its troops, and Washington has refused.

So on its face, what Blinken says is outright false as proved with empirical evidence taking place right now! The US says one thing, but does another.

While I'm at it, let me go a little farther. Blinken says Lavrov's repeated denial of plans to invade Ukraine. "But it is deeds and actions" that US will judge, he says.

More grand talk from Blinken. Let's look at what WE in the US have "done": it was the US that pulled out of Open Skies Treaty, not Russia. NATO beached the CFE, not Russia. And the US withdrew from the INF, not Russia. So whose deeds must be judged as "threatening?"

Ours.

The Russian Foreign Ministry did confirm "There are no dates or concrete plans for any additional meetings." That, we can believe!

So the talking is done. It failed. You know what comes next.

There is going to be alot of PTSD cases now after long range artillery starts striking

I pray the Russians slap the American neo-cons out of eastern Europe. Also the Estonian guy, you just want 1,200 of my people to die defending your people. No thanks, we have died enough trying to help central European countries. God Save The King.

If you topple the ruling faction in a nation you change its sovereignty, as we have seen in Ukraine. This is why the Russians can't allow Ukraine in NATO, because it will be used to topple the Russian ruling faction. So this is why the Russians are making pushy demands. Ukraine and Russia have nothing to with 'European security', its their own matter. Nothing to do with us in western Europe. Good look to Bulgaria when the Turks are pouring into your nation again and you are screaming for Russian support which hopefully won't come without a high price for you. The Empire of the USA won't last and you will pay for allying with it against Russia.

Rejecting Ukraine membership and leaving it alone to face the Russians is a foolish move. If Ukraine flipped, and Kiev is ruled by Russian controlled entity, then Europe should expect a larger headache compared to that of Belarus.

But it's up to Europe to help, the US is busy in the Pacific which they now deemed more important than Europe.

Where Europe went wrong was being antagonistic towards Turkey. I remember when Turkey took down the Russian jet, the european narrative was "kick" Turkey out of NATO. Most europeans removed their air defence systems and incremental sanctions have been applied on Turkey by Europe. Then to make matters worse europeans supported greek hostility against Turkey. The Russians must have loved that, the only nation to show any balls towards Russia and europeans turn on that nation, with their anti-muslim, anti-non white sentiments. Putin must have been rubbing his palms at the stupidity of europeans nations.

We even have the french and Russia allied with warlord haftar in Libya and europe tried to undermine Turkey in Libya. The EU tried to place an arms embargo on the Libyan government, but allowed weapons to be shipped into Haftar from Russia and the Gulf states. That lead to the incident where the French boat tried to threaten the Turks and the Turks locked onto the french boat only for macron to go crying to NATO.

The only real counter to Russia in the past 10 years has been Turkey, whether it be syria, iraq, libya, azerbaijan, supplying weapons to Ukraine etc. Turkey is the only serious nation in NATO outside the USA in countering Russian expansionism.

Just like Turkey sold drones to poland, the moment the polish got a few Kurdish refugees they screamed to the world shit talking Turkey.

But if a day ever comes where Turkey says F-it and decides not to work against Russia but instead to submit to her interests, most of europe from the south to the north into central europe will come under Russian control.

Turkey on the side of Russia is game over for most of Europe.

This is precisely why I want Britain to ally with Russia and Turkey to smash the EU apart. Excellent comment. I believe there will be a Russian/Turkish partnership after the Americans and EU have tried to topple the Turkish ruling faction and tank the Turkish economy. Turkey, Russia, Britain have a massive defence spending and industry advantage over Europe too. Also Turkey was wrong to shot down the Russian jet and work against Russia in Ukraine. However they will learn this in time, the Russians have no interest in Turkey, they just want to defence their own lands and civilization.

The English hegemony controls North America, Britain, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, and now likely control India. So its an uphill battle for the Chinese/Iranians/Russians/Turkey and DPRK. But if they could flip Britain, it changes everything for them. Then the civilizational alliance has a massive aircraft carrier which splits the two most important globalist factions in two.

At the moment my view is that the war will start by the Russian special forces attacking the Ukraine ruling faction directly to assassinate them, then a rolling artillery bombardment as their paratrooper tank regiments smash through the Ukrainian lines. If this initial strike by the Russians is successful it could all be over in a week. The Russian install their own ruling faction and then pull back. That's it.

I remember seeing saakashvili crying and running for cover when there were just Russian aircrafts flying above his head so this gives me an easy solution. Send a conventional warhead on a iskander or kalibr missile to a Ukrainian government building for politicians. Let them piss their pants a little bit where russians threaten they will be next via satellite info. Immediately want to contact the Kremlin that it was a bad idea to join nato and have weapons confiscated. Russia will do the Ukrainian people a favor without targetting them and get rid of the same people that made their big country more poor than kosovo which I still don't understand how the fuck that hapoens.

No in this case the Russians need to kill the current Ukrainian ruling faction to put their own faction into power. They don't want to take Georgia or Ukraine, but they have to do so to protect the Russian ruling faction. The Russians don't so much fear invasion or attack, but destabilization of their nations by outside forces. Like happened in Kazakhstan recently, the Americans openly want to topple Putin, they talk about it all the time. So of course Putin and the Russian ruling class are like we can't allow the American ruing class to control Ukraine. I just wish the Russians would get on with it.
