I recalled the attack of the Nazi bomber ace Rudel on the battleship "Marat" near Kronstadt in the Baltic Sea in September 1941. The Russians write that they managed to return the naval artillery back then.

The dive angle is almost 90 degrees, it's like being on a barrel of gunpowder... My "Ju-87" goes surprisingly steadily, without moving away by a single centimeter. I feel that it will be almost impossible to miss. Right in front of me I see a huge "Marat". Sailors are running around the deck. I press the bomb reset button and then pull it on myself with all my strength. Will it turn off or not? The overload is huge... for a moment I completely lose consciousness. Still not fully recovering, I hear the voice of my radio operator: "Mr. Chief Lieutenant, hit!“ A giant cloud of smoke rises above the "Marat" at a height of 350 meters. Perhaps the cellars exploded...". The bomb penetrated the armored decks of the battleship and caused the detonation of the main caliber bow turret ammunition. As a result of the explosion, the bow of the ship on the second tower of the main caliber was torn off, the bow superstructure with all the posts collapsed into the water. 326 people died instantly, including the commander of the ship.
