During Desert Storm air campaign coalition made 2,700 sorties a day dropping 2,400 tons of bombs a day.
A video filmed in the American port of Baltimore appeared in the media. On it there are several large transport ships of the United States Naval Sealift Command.
The Ukrainian flag is on the ships. Perhaps this is the beginning of the supply of weapons to Ukraine under Lend-Lease

Keep in mind that a loss for Russia in this war can and very likely would be seen as a threat to the survival of Russia as a state. In this sense, continuing the production of all necessary war material and weapons stocks is of tantamount importance.actually I'm bit different when it comes to the narrative that Russia can no longer build anything because of sanctions. Its more like how fast Russia could replenish their losses with the production capacity they has now ? How many tanks, missiles, bombs etc Russia could produce in a year.
Recently I read this interesting commentaries that countries should prepare for a long war, whomever has the more resource wins. This war will be a contest between Russian arms industry against Ukraine's donor willingness to continue arms supply.

How would the high-tech U.S. military fare in a war against China or Russia? The ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War may provide some answers. It may call intowarontherocks.com
When it comes to donors, recently @Blackbeardsgoldfish shared a bleak picture of (in this case) Germany's lost art of mass arms production and self defeating bureaucracy in arms procurement.

Germany, rearmament, and Ukraine - "Why 100 billion Euro may not fix the German military"
Description: "When Russia launched its February 24th invasion of Ukraine, Germany was one of the nations that experienced a dramatic, near overnight political shift. Germany turned its eyes to rearmament after decades of reduced defence spending, while outside commenters criticised the limited...defencehub.live
But I'm still confident that Europe and West in general will not let Russia out produce their supply to Ukraine. Romania reportedly re-started production of Soviet 152mm rounds for use by the AFU.
The Austrian political establishment, especially the far right and moderate right, are very close to Putin and his cronies. The picture you can see in the tweet is where Putin came to Kneissl's marriage in 2018, not in Vienna, but a small village in southern Austria (small as in 3248 people in 2018).When you belong to putin there is only pain for you.........
Former Austria foreign minister Karin Kneissl went abroad due to personal safety concerns, most likely to Moscow.
Until May of this year, she was a director of putin Oil.
Well, we are passed this red line already for four or so months. I am glad, that somebody from german speaking countries finally realizes this awful situation. No, this is not a game. Russia is really trying to build an alternative world dominance model and has allied with another wanna-be world dominator, China. Yes, the foundations of international relations, laid after 1945, are seriously shattered. Where have you been so far, in Alaska or smth?Keep in mind that a loss for Russia in this war can and very likely would be seen as a threat to the survival of Russia as a state. In this sense, continuing the production of all necessary war material and weapons stocks is of tantamount importance.
However, the more Russia suffers in losses, the better this ultimately is for the west. Supplying Ukraine is, equally, of tantamount importance to them, as long as they can keep Russia in this painful limbo where victory is unlikely and defeat unacceptable.
This in turn raises the risk level of miscommunication, and ultimately confrontation, with EU and NATO states on the part of Russia. A war like that, where the west not only supplies Ukraine but has their ground troops actively engaging in combat against Russia, can spiral out of control in all sorts of manners.
But presently, with the inflation, food and energy insecurity and entrenching western hostility against Russia, and the murky picture that is the future, the only ones that make a profit is the armaments industry.
Oh, I would kiss this man for this revelation! The question in the first place, is how this could happen at all? Second question, what Austrians are going to do about it? Explain that Austria has nothing to do with it, similarly to the days of Anschluss Österreichs, on 13 March 1938? Let me add a freely selected illustration about this sad and tragic day as a reminder:Putin and his oligarchs are well connected with the Austrian political and wealthy elites, basically an open secret in the country.
A further noteworthy case is where our former far-right vice chancellor was caught on tape trying to sell a national newspaper to a (pretend) russian oligarch, while intoxicated and snorting cocaine. You can read the Wikipedia Article for a general overview.
Are you are aware that world dominance has been the US active policy since 1900?....Russia is really trying to build an alternative world dominance model and has allied with another wanna-be world dominator, China. Yes, the foundations of international relations, laid after 1945, are seriously shattered....
Yeah, sorry about that. Russia and China have never been friends, that is true. These countries have some common goals to share for the moment, that is all that I am saying. The common goal is to get rid of the United States' monopolistic dominance, as stated by Mr. Putin at Munich Security Conference in 2007. Is this explanation sufficient? Are you are aware that world dominance has been the US active policy since 1900?
The Soviet-union only entered that stage after May 1945 - via keeping occupying liberated NAZI and friends territory after May 1945 in order (from their point of view) to counter US European dominance. Finland had cut it's "alliance" with Hitler (and Finnish units even attacked the Wehrmacht) - Stalin never occupied Finland, but accepted their neutrality. The only real wars that the Soviet-union started and fought from 1939 - 1990 were the one with Finland, the Baltic states and Afghanistan. (whilst the war aginst the Baltic states would deserve a separate discussion).
From the 1950's onward the Soviet-union started to counter US world dominance via supporting Communist ideology friendly leaders and countries - e.g. Middle-East, Africa, Asia and Central America. Obviously communism and the Soviet-union was preferred by 3rd world countries - because almost every "liberated" former Colony or newly emerging country became Communist or Soviet friendly.
Ronald Reagan after the US world dominance decline upon Vietnam - declared that Communism needs to be eradicated - simply because it had endangered the US world dominance to a critical point. Since then the US directly and actively undertook numerous wars to re-ensure US world dominance.
Putin's "vision" isn't about world dominance - but Russia's dominance towards it's bordered countries (immediate neighbors) to counter US dominance.
China only started to emerge as a world economic power from 2010 onward. They haven't had a single war since 1980 till today.
And only after Dumb Trump emerged, the "idea and propaganda" towards China was born, being an economic threat to the US world dominance and pointing out China's growing military strength (which naturally comes with it's economic growth).
It is a fact that Dumb Trumps policy made Russia and China to appear as allies - well they totally are not - they simply cooperate on economic and military technological issues to both parties benefits. And both oppose US dominance in their immediate neighborhood. e.g. joint naval exercises.
And fact is that neither Russia (e.g. Ukraine or the Baltic Republics )-(apart from Alaska) nor China, are in the immediate neighborhood of the USA.
So fact is, the USA is the "wanna-be world dominator" NOT Russia and NOT China.
Fact also is that China since 1948 till today has never instigated any proxy wars in order to weaken or to draw the USA or a US ally into a war.
And again Putin attacked the Ukraine - just as the USA attacked Iraq (WMD) and others, defying the UN-Charter. China has never done so since 1951. (the Vietnam-China 3-4 weeks border war - was not in defiance of the UN-Charter since Vietnam had attacked a Chinese ally and persecuted hundreds of thousands of ethnic Vietnamese Chinese, thus causing a further escalation toward the humanitarian crisis - aka boat-people. In other words, aside from Vietnam, China has never attacked any sovereign nation in the past 71 years. Making it by far, the most peaceful large nation and superpower this world has ever seen.
If you want to discuss about China - you are welcomed to the China defense section - otherwise let's please stick to Russia and NATO in this thread.
Perfect... I am saying. The common goal is to get rid of the United States' monopolistic dominance, as stated by Mr. Putin at Munich Security Conference in 2007. Is this explanation sufficient?
It isn't a joke actually - but true brutal reality - (the actual loss figures I will leave up to you) but somehow you forgot Ukrainian military losses and especially civilians and the systematic destruction of a countries infrastructure.A joke: Russia is fighting against NATO in Ukraine. Four months later about 36 400 Russian soldiers are dead, 1600 Russian tanks destroyed, 3800 AFV demolished, 217 warplanes shot down and NATO forces have not yet entered the fight.
