Will US even sell F47?

Wrt carrier based Kaan, we simply don't have the budget. Hurjet and drones will have to do. The journey to naval aviation is long and we have a lot of work to do. We might have a full carrier with a stealth fighter in 20 years if economy doesn't collapse.

Not to mention, china also starter with stobar with Russian style carrier and jets and now are moving to Cato bar with their stealth jets. I think we would go a similar pace, but this also follows China's incredible growth. Our economy is stagnating. A better economy is required for all that.

Will US even sell F47?

A possible sale of the F-47 to Tokyo was raised during a phone call between Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba last week, according to a report from the Japanese daily newspaper Asahi Shimbun. According to this source, the short-notice call was confirmed by Ishiba administration officials and came just before a visit to the United States by Ryosei Akazawa, Japan’s top trade negotiator, for talks on Trump’s economic tariffs.
[...]
When announcing the F-47 contract award, Trump said that U.S. allies “are calling constantly” with a view to obtaining an export version of the NGAD fighter. He said that the United States would be selling them to “certain allies … perhaps toned-down versions. We’d like to tone them down about 10 percent, which probably makes sense, because someday, maybe they’re not our allies, right?”

Spain decided to cancel their F-35 acquisition even though they had committed 6.3 bnEUR to the purchase. Could they become a partner for KAAN after joining the Hurjet program?
After all the cooperation with Türkiye, it would be a logical choice.

Well they are partner in SCAF and F35B doesn't really have an alternative for Juan Carlos I. They could be aiming for upgrading Juan Carlos for KE or build a new carrier with us to use with drones and use harriers in that duration. Buying F35A for them isn't realistic since they are also buying more eurofighters and partnering for SCAF. But, after the recent demand from France and Dassault for 80% work share, and Belgium's attempt to join and backing out, since they work so closely with us, Kaan could be realistic

Spain doesn’t need fighter jets immediately like the east European countries. Spain is far away from any battlefields, like Poland or Türkiye.

I told you. If I know Trump, Trump will force Japan to buy F-47 as mafia-style "protection money". F-47 will be available for Japan sooner than GCAP.
From what I understand of the Plaza Accords, any US president would certainly implement this approach. Even if Obama were president instead of Trump, the US would force Japan to purchase the F-47 and withdraw from the GCAP program.

Egypt is interested in being in the Kaan project, so do we make a gift wrap of 48 pieces.

Or buy both and become overpowered. They do have a very strong economy

Their economy is incredibly weak. 220% debt to GDP ratio, no growth, deflation and a detrimental birth rate.

Japan is dying and taking massive loans to buy expensive weapons will just accelerate the process.

Not for long. They have a debt problem. For now, it is manageable, but they are on the verge of a population crisis, so I doubt that debt can be managed forever.

They hadn't. In 2023, they had approved a bill that would use up to 6.3 billion euros to replace Harriers of the navy and the F-18s of the air force. Spain never went past RFI for F-35s, never committed.

Regardless, F-35B was the only real high performance replacement for the Harrier, so it was thought that they would order some for the navy.

With FCAS also not looking too good politically at the moment, they're in for a reconfiguring. Unless they go with a Germany-free Dassault post FCAS, they don't have a suitable replacement for the Harriers at the moment. This goes against the planned future carrier to replace Juan Carlos. Why shouldn't Spain entertain Hürjet Naval and drones like we do? It is possible. But Kaan is a much taller order.
