Russia has enough equipment for 100 years of war, but on one condition - Zhdanov
According to him, not everything is clear with the human resource, because there are no volunteers.
Russia will have enough military equipment for 100 years of hostilities.
This was stated by military expert Oleg Zhdanov, answering questions from followers.
“I will say this, in principle, there will be enough equipment for 100 years of war. Of these tens of thousands of tanks in storage, thousands of weapons and tens of thousands of armored combat vehicles, this will be enough for more than one year. Enough for decades of war,” Zhdanov said .
Regarding the human resource, the situation is quite deplorable for the Russian Federation. The mobilization reserve is the total number of citizens of the Russian Federation who can be mobilized today within the framework of general mobilization - it is somewhere around 16-17 million people. Of these 16-17 million people, the operational reserve is 2 million people - these are those who recently served in the RF Armed Forces, that is, people with combat experience who served in hot spots, or have recently served and their level of training does not require retraining and improvement qualifications.
According to Zhdanov, today it can be estimated that about 300,000 people have passed through Ukraine, possibly more. But this is an approximate calculation.
He predicts that in the Russian Federation there will not be many who want to fight. Many men left the Russian Federation, others are hiding from the military registration and enlistment offices. In his opinion, with regard to human resources in the Russian Federation, "there is a reserve, but there are no political or social opportunities."
At the same time, Zhdanov explained that tens of thousands of Russian equipment would indeed be enough for decades of war, but on the condition that there are technical possibilities to bring it into combat condition.
“It turns out that there is equipment, but it must first be repaired, brought into good condition so that it can perform the tasks for its intended purpose, on the one hand. On the other hand, it turns out that there is a human resource, but there are no longer those who want to go on a voluntary basis. Therefore, they run around prisons, therefore they try to force people through blocking credit cards and other things," Zhdanov said.
