They give a lot of afv and apc to Ukraine. But the result is clear. They have done a pity to the country that lives peacefully.

I wonder how long the westerners will continue to support Ukraine and exclude Russia.

More precisely, how much equipment, money and patience do the westerners have left?

Ukraine is one of the countries with the most worthless human life in the world right now. The poor country that is cheated and forced to fight.
I just want challengers Abrams and leopards to finally be supplied in this war so they can meet kornets, vikhr, svinets,, artillery and lancet strikes, than watch this thread blame the ukrainian operators for those losses similar to Americans blaming Arabs using their equipment in the Middle East.

I think the situation is very bad. Ukraine must surrender as soon as possible. Russia should give Ukraine a certain amount of money annually.
Just stop with this nonsense already.
Ukraine is fighting for life, for freedom and there is NO POSSIBILITY to surrender or even peace talks with so called, soon to be gone russia.

Do russia even has an army or just few private armies?
They have Wagner terrorists, they have Kadyrov traitors, they have mobiks from Ukrainian Donbas called DLR and LNR, Rosgward and on 5th place there is russian army somewhere too.
It will be fun watching when all those groups will be fighting each other soon after someone kill Putin. Who will win? FSB, Army, Wagner? How will they split russia. Well see soon enough.

I don't think they will give these tanks. They criticize Russian tanks so much that they don't want to be disgraced by giving these tanks to ukrainian incompetents. Abrams tanks have been infamous enough in Iraq.

Now if M1 mbt is disgraced in ukraine, USA will not be able to sell m1 mbt to anyone at exorbitant price again.

But I want them to give these mbts to ukraine and be disgraced. Let the world see clearly that the weapons of the west will be easily defeated!

Bakhmut campaign started in August last year, and Russian achievement to date is soledar and bakhmutske. Which btw is the smaller settlement near Bakhmut itself.

Next will be the Russian campaign to capture the hills and valleys in the west side, let's see how long it will take this time.

Russia better hope it will be before summer this year. Because if you're late, Ukraine is likely on its way to open a new front in Zaporizhia.

Yeah well I wouldn't hold my breath on it

The Russians are celebrating Soledar as if the Russian army has reached the Atlantic coast.

Ukraine is asking Australia to send its older M1A1 AIM Abrams to Ukraine.

KE3 and KE4 tungsten rounds will be sufficient for even the T-90S/M model. Even better if someone could donate DU based rounds.

It's you, stop this western propaganda nonsense. We are tired of listening to this nonsense for a year now.

Now it's time for the facts. We will no longer listen and discuss fictions. We are tired of listening to your nonsense that Russia is going to fall apart for a year. Russia is not going to break up. In fact, there is no possibility of losing the war anymore.

Only poor, helpless people from both sides are forced to fight and die for the interests of some western countries and Russia. Is it that hard to see? Or do you not want to see it?

I don't care about Russia, Russians, Putin. At this critical time, I do not want the disintegration of Russia for the interests of my country.

Because our government will act together with Russia against the USA/PKK/YPG in Syria, on our southern border. It's that simple.

It seems that Ukraine is stagnating and Russia is starting to gain territory little by little. I know that this is the norm in warfare but this gives Putin a huge advantage since the longer he holds territories, the more he is able to incorporate them into Russian sphere of influence.
As I said long ago, a war of attrition was never in Ukraine's favour! For Ukraine to win, they need to be quick since war of attrition mainly depends on numbers and Russia has the supreme edge in that regard
Moreover, while Europe (especially Germany) refuses to sell critical tech to Ukraine; Putin is slowly fixing his army's defects; couple that with unlimited soldiers (canoon fodder) and you get a really good army for wars of attrition

Ukraine, according to their plan, should have taken Kreminna by the previous' years end and should have already been pressuring Severodonetsk but now they are slowly being pushed away from the few kilometers they manajed to gain in the last 2 months. Not good at all; I really dont want to see Putin winning this war

I swear to God there are so many users here that think F-35s, Abrams, himars, leopards, challengers all grant some kind of magical divine powers while the US avoided as much as possible sending Bradley's or Abrams to go as far as to tell Morroco to supply 100 t-72s to Ukraine than there own equipmentwhich they have plenty of. If western equipment did grant magical divine powers than they would have been used early in this war than contemplating rather or not to use them later.

Edit: based on Ukraines entire force fighting Wagner I don't think they even give a shit about ukraine at this point but are sending t-90s and t-14s to be sent to poland in case poland attacks later. We already have Ukrainians well known for making shit up like the Wagner losses in which if that was the case Wagner would have to regroup for reinforcements but instead they are launching offensives more than one place and not just Bakhmut so someone is bullshitting.

Nearly a year later and you still don't get it. I'll try one more time, but I doubt it's going to make any impact on you. I've come to terms with that reality.

The West does not think its equipment is magic, nor does it think that a relatively small number of Western weapons are going to change the entirety of the war. You don't build 6500+ Bradley fighting vehicles if you think they're some wonder weapon, because only a small number of them would do just fine if they were indeed "magic". The reason that the ramp up in Western weapons will help Ukraine is because many of them are legitimately, technologically superior to most things that Russia can field in significant numbers. Not everything, of course, but most things. Beginning to transition Ukraine away from Russian made equipment that they have a finite supply of, with no recourse to procure more of, will allow the West to continue to supply Ukraine throughout this war.

The same logic applies to countries like Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Morocco. They want to be aligned with the West and they'd rather have Western military equipment than Russian made equipment. Therefore, it makes sense that they would send all of the their legacy Russian / Soviet made kid to the battlefield, where somebody else (Ukraine) can use it, while replacing what they send with kit from allies such as USA, France, Germany, UK, South Korea, Sweden and others who make military equipment. The cheapest, easiest, way for the West to help Ukraine in the short term, is to convince allied countries to give up all their Russian / Soviet made equipment, as it will serve, in the short term, as adequate replacement for the existing Ukrainian equipment that is being chewed up (as is perfectly normal in war) during confrontation with the Russians.

There are tens of thousands of Ukrainians being trained outside of Ukraine in the early parts of 2023. Thousands in Britain, Poland and throughout the Baltics, as well as thousands more that will train in Germany, under American leadership, starting in late January. The plan now is to send these soldiers to "Basic training", then get them specialty, combined arms training using Western weapons that will be supplied to Ukraine as Ukrainian soldiers become competent in their operation. You're going to see hundreds of Bradleys join the fight before this war concludes. You're going to see a couple hundred Leopards join the fight before the war concludes. You're going to see a couple hundred more pieces of Western artillery joint the fight before the war concludes. You're going to see significant upgrades to Ukraine's air defense capabilities before the war concludes. The list goes one and on...

But, as always, you're missing the point. The goal of the West was not and has not ever been to help Ukraine achieve a quick, decisive, victory over Russia. The goal has always been the following.

1). Use the Ukrainian willingness to bleed in defense of their nation to deeply impact the capabilities of the Russian Army and deeply impact their ability to project power in the future. You can pretend it's not happening all you want, but the reality is that there is a huge cost for the Russians in order to achieve progress in this war. They're chewing up their own supplies as an extremely rapid rate and they DO NOT possess that industrial base to replace what they're losing, at the pace that they're using it. The tempo at which they can project power is dwindling. Meanwhile, the West has BARELY sent Ukraine anything of value from it's own industrial base. Russia has immense manpower and can throw lots of meat into the grinder in Ukraine (and they will), but they're already pulling out kit that should have been mothballed years ago, because it's what they have left... Not even one year into the war. Ukrainian access to quality kid is rapidly increasing, while Russian access to similar quality kit is decreasing at an enormous rate.

2). Destroy Russian economic ties with the rest of Europe, deeply hurt their access to Western technology and set their people (and thus their government) back many years. This is about power projection and the ability to project that power globally. Russia will leave this conflict (regardless of the outcome) a much less powerful player on the world stage, because they will have alienated themselves from the overwhelming number of people that they share a continent with. Ensuring that the people of Russia suffer a much lesser standard of living and much lesser global acceptance, is a win for the West and NATO in particular. The less that the world trusts Russia, the more likely it is that they will be open to Western diplomacy.

3). This is, BY FAR, the cheapest price NATO and its allies will ever pay to fight a war (in this case a proxy war) with Russia, something we've WANTED to do for a long time. There is very little collateral for the West in this equation, because our soldiers are not the ones on the battlefield fighting and we don't have to send our best, most expensive equipment into combat. Instead, we can fund Ukraine's willingness to fight. Remember, the West froze $350 Billion worth of Russian assets at the beginning of this conflict. They've barely liquidated any of those assets to this point. Therefore, this war is largely being funded, in aggregate, by the asset value of the property, items and investments frozen by the West, in Western countries. If, by the end of this conflict, the war costs NATO and its allies $500 Billion USD (a number I just made up) that's literally a drop in the bucket compared to what the West spent on the Covid-19 pandemic, as an example. Right now the West has spent in the neighbourhood of $50 Billion, so there is an enormous amount of funding for Ukraine to go before helping bleed Russia out financially will become to high of a price to pay. Just wait until Russia actually has to PAY an army of 500,000-1,000,000 mobilized men. They're quickly approaching a point in which they are spending money that they don't have and won't have access too. A broke Russia, at the conclusion of this conflict, makes them a substantially weaker nation on the global stage.

1000 F-35s will be built soon and nearly 5000 Abrams, what good is 6,500 bradleys if the west is too scared and begging any country around the world to send T-72s instead of so called superior western equipment which they did not seem to supply Ukraine at the start of the war. They had 8 fucking years to train Ukraine and not only Ukraine but the Pentagon just admitted it out to the public. But it must have not been going as planned which is now why they want to train them using western equipment than the 8-year time frame they had prior to the war starting in February. Based on the number of challengers, leopards, etc I see in Europe that is not enough so the next concern is Ukraine's own body count and If Europe will even start a production line or even afford to produce anything.

1) I dont think they really want to defend as much as you think they want to because these past 2 weeks I have been seeing videos everyday of AFU fighting with civilians like they dont want to be used as meat shields and now I got news reports of Ukrainians now being drafted from Lviv to be sent to Bakhmut. I also heard the story 100 times that Russia has ran out of missiles and that they could not continue the war in Ukraine for 1 month and none of that has aged well as we speak. I hear constant crying from the west that they have gotten worried to the point that they might even be vulnerable to a Russian army based on all the equipment they have sent to Ukraine. Missile strikes still occur, T-90s and brand new MRLS systems being produced, and they state they have not entered a war economy yet. While already have Ukrainian politicians not listening to their own military leaders to retreat from a city only to get slaughtered at a high casualty against the Russians which the Russians don't mind because its more favorable for them. I dont think Russia is trying either if its just Wagner pushing the AFU back which is what I see right now.

2) Yes it's not like Europe is getting fucked with energy gas prices and even if they go nuclear Russia has plenty of nuclear fuel which they heavily relied on as well which means will they be saved or not and what timeframe will they be saved and from the looks of it the war will be over by then. Western technology? most of it has already been replaced or will be in a short period of time. Russia has been doing a lot of trading with the east and Africa and have plenty of projects especially in the Arctic, as much as it is hard for you to believe but the world does not revolve just around the west.

3) the amount of delusion from these statements are staggering losing 500k to 1 million, yet right now Wagner is pushing the AFU back in all directions and the other groups like the Chechens and LDR have not assisted them yet whom are in the operation in Ukraine, the 300K+ reserves have not even started yet with the ones that started this operation in February, nor has any active duty troop been pulled from the 1,150k active duty pool, you probably must mean that the Russians are bleeding from one small paper cut if we want to be realistic here? But since the west is switching to western equipment now it must mean the Russians have kicked the shit out of Ukrainians that they are running out of soviet gear and there indeed was a lot of soviet gear. Western equipment was not magical and divine in the middle east and fighting Russians will not make ir any better. so Soviet gear runs out, western equipment runs out, so my next concern at this rate is when will Europe start producing military equipment again or will they even be able to afford to produce anything at all?

Edit: Now if you read my land force thread at the Russian defense forum on this site https://defencehub.live/threads/russia-future-land-force-capabilities.16214/ , if we go by Russian sources stating their losses, they can drag this war on as much as they like, but I do feel bad for the 65K Ukrainians that tried to hold Bakhmut along with Ukrainian leadership helping Wagner sustain low casualties for not listening to their military command.

what RU did in kherson region, a tactical withdraw put them in relative strong in luhanks n donesk. meanwhile, UA cannot move their troops from kherson as much as RU did. what happen now in soledar just minor progress for RU, so much time they spent to captured non strategic area like soledar for UA., its different situations if RU can capture soledar higher ground in western area.

Zelensky to Russians: Terrorists will one day come for you
1673851546550.png

The President of Ukraine addressed the Russians, who even now could not utter a few words of condemnation of Russian terror.

President Volodymyr Zelensky on the evening of Sunday, January 15, issued a warning to Russians who remain silent when their country commits open terror. He noted that silence and attempts to wait it out will not save the Russians - the terrorists will come for them.
