A Russian tank participating in the special operation in Ukraine has been attacked with a US Javelin anti-tank missile, the crew suffered a concussion but did not stop fighting, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Wednesday.

"A Russian tank was attacked with a US Javelin anti-tank guided missile during the battle. The crew sustained a concussion, but did not abandon the battle," he said adding that after making sure that the vehicle was in good working order, the tank crew destroyed two more enemy tanks with accurate fire.

MOSCOW, March 1. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 1,325 Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday.

"The Russian Armed Forces have hit 1,325 Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities, including 43 command and communications centers of the Ukrainian army," he specified.

According to him, as many as 395 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 59 multiple rocket launchers, 179 artillery guns and mortars, and 286 special military motor vehicles have also been destroyed.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation based on a request from the heads of the Donbass republics. The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans to occupy Ukrainian territories and the goal was to demilitarize and denazify the country. Russia’s Defense Ministry reported later that the Russian Armed Forces were not delivering strikes against Ukrainian cities. The ministry emphasized that the Ukrainian military infrastructure was being destroyed by precision weapons and there was no threat to civilians.

from what I can see , Ukraine will fall it's just a matter of time . what will follow after is interesting . I expect that sweden and finland will be invaded at the same time and Nato will not intervene , even EU countries will not intervene out of fear to drag Nato alliance to WW3 .

But 5th one did not understand ruski evilness plan so they the 5th civilian ship with people on board Forced and accepted the order to direct the ship.

Holy shit. It looks more and more likely that the majority of russian soldiers had no idea they were actually invading Ukraine.

I'm gonna guess their phones were confiscated when they left for "exercises" and then they were woken up in the middle of the night and marched into vehicles. Probably had no idea they were in Ukraine until Ukrainian soldiers started shooting at them.

Putin really thought he could zerg rush the Ukrainians and have them surrender over the night. Have Zelensky executed by Wagner Mercenaries, probably frame it as a suicide and then install a pro-russian puppet government.

All of this would explain the catastrophic logistic and overall planning of the invasion. They never thought they actually had to have a plan.
Most soldiers would have been out of Ukraine after 3-4 days max.

Is this gross incompetence showing or was Putin and the Kremlin really deluded and thought the would be welcomed as saviors and the Ukrainian Military would surrender without a fight.

There is essentially a pretty bad CnC ladder in Russia....i.e how information, feedback flows from the operational side up the ladder.... to help correct + balance what the top-down process wants to do/achieve.

Stuff that should be done in peacetime (over long periods of time, developing the institutions inside the military to check all critical nodes of this) to gauge well what you are actually capable of (and you do not need to announce this, just know it)

In fact I would venture this is almost near non-existent for Russia given this shambles of performance (compared to their bulk) so far...

In strength training, we make fun of body builders along similar way.....i.e what is actual strength in the end (needs shifting of actual weight) compared to bulking up muscles by high reps.
