I thinkbthe main reasons are the complex of inferiority and jealousy. Muslims in the West support Putin also , not just in Middle East or wherever. Whatever West does they hate, no logic , no reas is required. Mostly they are allied with the extreme left and that's how they see things. How they start to interpret many things are completely akin to atheist outlook. Hypocrites of the highest order. If it is not fo my country, Albania Azerbaijan and Turkey I would pray that Le Pen comes to power. In other words started to behave like Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians and Yezidis in Ottoman Empire and ofcourse it is very also very painful that they not in the centre of attention.

It's 150+ km from Kharkiv, behind enemy lines, in an area controlled by Russia. Do you know of any Ukrainian artillery with 150+ km of range? Because I certainly don't.

That's like asking why the Russians didn't just hang out at Chernobyl and send artillery rounds into Kyiv. They don't have the range to do that.

Even with modern, guided artillery, you're looking at a max effective range of about 30km. You might be able to stretch that out to 35km if you have some terrain advantages. Rocket artillery such as Grad (using modern munition) might get you to 40KM effective range. The newest Tochka long range missiles have about 100km of range. Ukraine has the older variant, which has about 70km effective range.

Russia might be incompetent in a lot of ways, but they certainly did not set up an operating base, inside Russia that is an easy target for the weapons that Ukraine has in its inventory. Unless thr West starts providing cruise missiles to Ukraine, which I don't see happening, it's highly unlikely that Ukraine is ever going to possess a grounded based weapon system (during this conflict) that has enough range to strike very far into Russia.

Destruction can be so beautiful sometimes.

The things is what makes those fumes dangerous is the fact that it reacts to nitric acid in your lungs once you inhale those gasses.

If Ukraine destroyed such forces, then it means that it destroyed a HUGE chunk of the ELITE russian forces that came from Crimea; normally such forces take 5 to 10 years to train and in the short-term may be replaced with inferior quality troops that will make it easier for Ukraine to reclaim lost lands from the southern frontier
