Zelensky basically has unlimited supply from west while Russia is running out of reserves.
And it will only get worse once eurpoe has diversified gas sources enough not to be dependant on russia anymore.

Ukraine and NATO despite needing to be aware latest since 2014 were/are IMO totally not prepared to face off an attack by Russia on February 2022.
The requested amount of weapons by Ukraine to "win" this war are also IMO not feasible - certainly not within the next 24 month. (and certainly not at the present delivery rate).
Russia so far is fighting this war with a very low participation in regards to employed manpower and modern weapons - therefore this slow-motion steamroller advance. Human losses on the Russian forces side can only be speculated upon (ranges from 15,000 killed to 35,000 killed) but most likely the real Russian and Ukrainian losses are probably on par. And the majority of Russian human losses is burdened/sustained by the DNLR not the RF. - maybe??

The far more feasible Ukraine alternative could be to stop this war at the present front-lines. Get a clear commitment from NATO towards a future Russian attack.
(factually involving NATO units on Ukrainian territory if Russia should attack again) and meanwhile set up a credible and capable Ukrainian Armed Forces. Politics and nations futures aren't decided in a short term solution but in the long term (e.g. 10+ years) Who knows who will rule Russia in e.g. 10 years - maybe a new government in e.g. 5 years will be far more receptive to a peaceful territorial solution of this Ukraine - Russia issue?

For some peculiar reason, European leaders want to preserve Putin's face. Nobody wants to mess with the gas station which will fall into small states and not be able to secure its nuclear potential. So far the help has been sufficient to initiate Russian Army advance toward its borders from Kyiv and Harkov. 10 Caesars more will ruin the Russian Army for sure.

Hmm, any proof about that? Do you really think it is a blessing to become a part of Russki Mir? Estonians learned it a hard way- surrender does not help, a big part of the nation will be killed, imprisoned, enslaved, and raped anyway. Finns did not surrender in the 1940-s and lost fewer people, eventually. Why should it be different in the current case?

I agree with we can't afford to stop the war now . After Macron's last try for stopping the war, EU leaders are preparing population for bad times as inflation is rising a lot, for example in Spain we have around 10% just for the first 6 months of the year, and we expect gasoil prices to reach almost 3€ this year, when it's normal price was around 1.35€.

No one will want to start a reconstruction in Ukraine if the "peace" is not good and lasting. Any bridge reconstructed will be a good target for RU and maybe a "collateral damage" killing or wounding EU civilians working on reconstruction places, could trigger things we didn't see until now.

My bet is we are going to keep supporting UKR with small batchs of weapons until a front is about to fall apart, that would put Putin in a serious and difficult situation for declaring general movilization... key moment where we can start to use Putin's own tools and transition from diplomatic war outside Russia to their own borders.
