These Iranian drones are slow and low flying objects that must be easy to shoot down by most modern SPAAGs. Doesn't Ukraine have any Shilkas and Tunguskas it can deploy? What happened to the German Gepards?

It would be very interesting to me to see how Korkut will perform against such a target.
Why does turkey drone kargi look more like shaheed 136..???
Honestly,Turkey should let baykar and tai to develope suicide drones too instead of only vestel/lenlatek and stm.

Yeah its possible but then iranian now have many ballistic missiles and drone like shaheed.
Iranian now have many capabilities to strike deep inside israel too.
Even these shaheed 136 drones have range more than 1000 km.
I suppose when it comes to Iran's ballistic missiles, US THAAD/PAC2/3 stationed in the gulf will be activated, so does ship based BMD capable AEGIS ship. Israel have some advanced BMD too (Arrow 2/3). Most will likely get downed although not 100%

As for the shaheed , the IAF is well versed on using fighter jets to down small drones.

Has there been any footage of Gepards actually doing anything? I read of them being delivered but haven't seen any footage.
The same for PHz2000. There was footage of them after being delivered but since then nothing. In the span there were reports that the PHz2000 couldn't keep up with the intensity of the war.

Since then nothing.

Maybe the Germans forbid the sharing of footage of them in active service?

And yes these drones should be easy pickings for SPAAGs.
They are active but Gepards are not as close as Korkut since Korkut uses programmable ammo.

Dear unfortunately it's not just easy. First for detection the SPAAG must have AESA radar not old gen pesa.
IIR cameras also would be efficient.

The second and most important is SPAAG must have programmed ammunitions.

To protect high valued assets , Korkut would be great.

On the other hand USA also have great M-SHORAD vehicles but they use Israeli AESA plates so Israel wouldn't welcome to transfer to Ukraine.

It uses 30x113mm smart ammunitions.
Even Hellfires could engage them.

They have only a few SPAAGs, and they are only point-defence systems, so without knowing where the drones will hit they are spread too thin. GPS jamming would work better.

Kargı kamikaze drone is not like Iranian drones. It's not even relevant. The Kargı kamikaze drone actually looks like the Israeli Harop drone. The only similarity with Iranian drones is that both have delta wings.

The Iranian drone does not have an electro-optical camera system and a radar seeker. The Iranian drone just follows the designated route and hits the designated fixed target like cruise missile. Kargı kamikaze drone, on the other hand, is a kamikaze drone, an anti-radiation missile, a cruise missile, and a reconnaissance drone at the same time.

Why was Vestel/Lantatek chosen?

In the competition for tactical drone purchase in the past, Vestel Defense's product Karayel drone lost against Baykar's famaus TB-2 drone. Thereupon, SSB officials assigned Vestel Defense to develop and deliver its Israeli Harop counterpart, so that the talent pool created within Vestel Defense would not be lost.

The project turned out to be much more difficult than expected. Because the project was already difficult, but there was also an embargo on every part of it, including the engine. So much so that in the end, the big companies of the Turkish defense industry, TEI, Roketsan, Aselsan etc. got involved in the event. For example, TEİ even developed the engine from scratch. With their help, Vestel Defense (AKA Lantatek) was able to manufacture and deliver the Kargı kamikaze drone.

For this reason, it is absurd to equate the Kargı kamikaze drone, which the entire Turkish defense industry can hardly produce, with the shity Iranian drone.

Volodymyr Zelensky: Israel rejects anti-missile system "Iron Dome"
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said during an interview that he was "shocked" by the fact that Israel was providing his country with anti-missile defense systems.

Zelensky claimed to have requested such weapon systems shortly after the start of the war with Russia in late February. He specifically mentioned the Iron Dome system, which is often used to intercept missiles and rockets fired from the Gaza Strip.

"I don't know what happened to Israel. I'm frankly in shock, I don't understand why they can't give us air defense systems," he said.

There are 2 options. 1- Israel does not want to mess with Russia. 2- USA wants to prolong this war, so Israel does not want to spoil USA plans.

Destroyed cities are belongs to Ukrainians(which are outer latch of outer door in europe) and every dead Ukranians puts another brick in the wall of Ukraine, which will be eternally on the Russian-European border. So option 2 is much more likely.

And as a bonus, Russia has to constantly reinforce the war in Ukraine, and as a result, the troops that it will shift from other theaters are currently creating a situation mostly in favor of Israel.

Or 3 - Israel does not want to export it's biggest defense against missile attacks to a country fighting another country that is closely tied to Iran and risk that technology being captured by their enemies in some way.

Russia gives Isreal a freehand to hit Iranian targets in Syria. To give weapons to Ukraine runs the risk that Russia not only stops this but ends up giving her enemies weapons that could harm Isreal.

It may even be revealed one day that Russia is giving Isreal inside intel on iran in syria.

Putin has to continue the war in the hopes that an opportunity presents itself, otherwise his career is over. You lose Kherson, Crimea is vulnerable and if Crimea is vulnerable to direct attack its the beginning of the end.

Putin trapped himself, its all or nothing for him now. Honestly, as the years go past Putin convinces me he's not very intelligent when it concerns these things. His killing of Turkish troops in Syria was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Under Erdogan Turkey was destroying all her relations with the west, turning Turkey into an international outcast. All Russia had to do to pull Turkey into her orbit was concede to her security interests in Northern Syria. Had Putin done that, i think you would have seen a Turkey today separate from the west and following Putins footsteps.

Instead he killed those Turkish troops and then thought he would advertise it to the world to humiliate Turkey. It set a chain reaction off that directly led into this Ukrainian disaster. Turkey exposed Russian air defences in idlib, then Libya, followed by Azerbaijan. While this was happening Turkey is selling drones and know how to Ukraine, and i suspect TB2 drone strikes on Russian backed terrorists at least in part led to Russia's invasion. Russia fearing that if they leave it too late Ukraine will become too armed, making successful invasion impossible.

If there was one weapon the Russians really needed in this invasion was reliable drones, things they could have got easily from Turkey had they not attacked us. The more Putin takes direct control of this war the bigger the shitshow it will become.
Seeing the invompetence in russian military i would not be surprised if that attack was indeed a mistake. It had no strategic objective and if anything it only destroyed more than it helped.

The attack on the Turkish troops correctly took into account erdogans character. Erdogan did everything to hide it from the people, Russians predicted that erdogan could be cowered. What the Russians didn't calculate was the public reaction. While the Russians flee their nation to avoid joining the army, when the Russians killed those Turkish troops the Turks were rushing to the border to join the army to go to war.

My own belief is that if there was no public reaction, erdogan would still to this day blame that attack on Assad. But anger was so much in Turkey that if erdogan did nothing, it would have threatened his political career.

That anger forced erdogan to do something, its just a shame that he kept begging for a meeting with Putin while Assad and his boys were getting swept away in idlib.

I see no end to this war. The US has found the perfect opportunity to bring Russia down to his knees. And doing that without losing a single US soldier. They will churn out and send weapons to Ukraine like there's no tomorrow.

Ukraine is defending its territory and fighting a just war. They can't and won't concede.

Putin on the other hand has to win the war otherwise it will be his end and Russia's end as we know it.

It's a true impasse. How will they resolve it I have no idea. The death toll of this war may very well exceed 500.000 . I hope the World won't spiral into a nuclear war because of this conflict.

Here you go for pzh2000: vimeo.com/753607528
The video is very recent (based on climate), and there are others.
