I concur. I expect Russia to test a nuke in Siberia in a month or so. Just to see the reaction and to show their resolution. And If the Ukrainian advancements continue, they will use a tactical nuke in a location where the death toll won't exceed a few thousand. I cannot guess what will happen after that. It depends on the World's reaction, as you said. Things can escalate very quickly. I'm not so sure of it but my gut feeling tells me that Russia won't get nuked. I don't think any country in the World, including the US, will risk to be decimated by hundreds of nukes for the sake of Ukraine.

This war frightens me. Putin has cornered himself and Russia so badly that he might just say "f**k it" and start pushing the red buttons. If it comes to that, I hope his subordinates will refuse and put a bullet in the right place.

A dog that barks a lot doesn't bite. Putin built himself an image of a ruthless strongman without any opposition to him but deep inside he is a coward that is full of insecurities. He is afraid and paranoid even from those around him and much of his actions talk about this.

Even if he gives an order for a nuclear strike it doesn't mean that it will be carried out. Usually there is no such thing as a red button but we talk about multiple people on different levels of command that must all give their okay about it. I doubt that many people out there are ready for a nuclear war and a total destruction... especially when all the kids, wives, bank accounts and mansions of the Russian elite are in the West. Why commit a "suicide" for some crazy old man that will probably be dead soon anyway. I won't be surprised if the minute Putin even dares to order a nuclear strike he would probably be killed or couped.

Though these are my thoughts as a sane and relatively pragmatic person... Yet as we see sanity is hard to find in most Russian heads in general so I might as well be wrong too. :D

🚀 “The United States has begun supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces with anti-aircraft weapons capable of shooting down Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones,” the Ukrainian ambassador to Israel said.

The US will announce various new anti-drone systems as part of its $1.1 billion military aid package for Ukraine.

Which one?

Or?

EDIT:

It seems the package includes just electronic countermeasures. Not missiles.

In Ukraine, the autumn thaw began, the roads become impassable and armored vehicles begin to get stuck. In the video, two American-made International MaxxPro armored vehicles pull another International MaxxPro armored car out of the mud.

A column of Ukrainian YPR-765 armored personnel carriers came under fire from the Russian Airborne Forces. Paratroopers of the 76th Guards Air Assault Division of Russia took part in the battle in the Kherson direction. The fire was fired from 30-mm cannons of BMD-4 landing vehicles.

Video of the work of the road troops of Russia, the work of the road commandant units in Ukraine.

Ukrainian servicemen showed the engine compartment of the BM "Oplot" tank. The date and location of the shooting is unknown. Ukrainian tank T-84 BM "Oplot" was put into service in 2009, the tank was created on the basis of the Ukrainian tank T-84. Now the Ukrainian army is armed with 6 BM "Oplot" tanks, also 49 tanks under the BM "Oplot-T" index were delivered to Thailand, several tanks are in the USA for research. The tank is equipped with a 125 mm gun. The tank is equipped with a 6TD-2E engine with a capacity of 1200 liters. With. and is capable of running on gasoline, kerosene and diesel fuel. The engine has reduced smoke and exhaust emissions.

Quote from an engineer who worked on the construction of both pielines:

Nordstream pipelines consist of 3 Section, The pipes are made of high-strength steel and on the strongest section are tubular steel thickness is 41mm, for the other two sections are tube steel thickness 27mm. In addition, they are tube covered with concrete so that they can remain on the seabed during gas transport.

On the NS1 there is a hole and on the NS two holes have been created. To achieve this, you have to have the necessary diving technology and transfer suitable explosive devices to the site. Russians don't have that. Only the USA and England are able to do that. If you consider the SEAL exercises in the same place last week, unwanted questions come up on the topic of the day.

and, is all crazy, gas will continue to flow until the pressure inside pipes and seabed is balanced. After the balancing point, more and more salty sea water penetrates into the pipes. Then the pipeline is finally scrapped. To prevent this, Germany or Russia must pump gas into the pipes so that the pressure does not fall below the compensation point. Crazzy..... BIDEN has put into practice what he said in at the the press.

"I promise you, we will be able to do that."

The Russians do not have the necessary underwater technology for pipeline construction according to international security standards. That's why no Russian company could weld the pipes together at a depth of 70 to 120 meters.

It is quite clear that the US was the one who blew the pipeline
It was a clear message to EU and Germany: "If you Germans still wanna s*ck the russian di*k for Gas and continue to hinder EU's sanctions against Russia, then we just know how to "force" you to comply with what we want

Biden said it before and he fullfilled his promise

The western leaders have said before that putin will never attack ukraine or advise him against that by saying russia will be punished severely and yet still putin invaded ukraine.
So do you think he will nuke ukraine if he is going to lose the war.
Losing the war means losing his life. For desperate man like him, maybe just lobbed a small tactical nuke at black sea near odessa just to prove that he is serius.
