Czech 🇨🇿 industry, in collaboration with Ukroboronprom, will begin refurbishing and modernizing stored Ukrainian T-64 MBTs. There is no word on how many of these stored T-64s exist, but it's speculated that Ukraine could have as many as several hundred that are in salvageable condition, in need of repair.

Keep in mind that the Czechs have been in the process of modernizing and refurbishing 90, multi-sourced T-72 MBTs, an initiative that is being jointly funded by USA 🇺🇸 and The Netherlands 🇳🇱. They are currently, approximately 2/3 of the way through that contract. It looks as if upon the completion of that contract, they'll continue on with the T-64s.

I assume you don't want Russian women and children to pay severe price for an stupid war that politicians started?
Populations general sentiments does in most cases lead to war. But if that's the case then terrorism should be legal everywhere, because lets face it war usually comes with national support behind it, and the act of terrorism is directed to punish the population of a country for a war politicians started, regardless of what they actually believe in regards of the legality of war.

If that's the case, the general Poles, Australian, American populace is legitimate target for whatever the Iraqi people (for example) plans to do harm with them in the long run.

I guess people don't think much before they write.

Update about Indonesian Minister's Shangri-la peace proposal.

It was his personal opinion, not official Indonesia stance on this matter.
Shows the level of coordination or therefore the complete lack of one between MFA and MoD. He overstep the MFA in this regard. Positions regarding our stance should be relegated to the MFA ONLY and statements must be limited to the phrases " We wish both sides choose peace instead of violence "

Russian officials perceived the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in some sectors of the front as the start of a larger operation.

By all accounts the Ukrainian offensive is kicking off around Zaporizhia and in an attempt to achieve operational encirclement of Bakhmut. When you factor in that Ukraine prepared 9 assault battalions and had 5-6 assault defensive battalions resting and waiting in the areas surrounding Bakhmut, we could be looking at as many as 15 brigades beginning an offensive. We're talking 60,000-75,000 troops on the attack.

Surely, the cost will be high for both sides in the coming weeks. One can only hope that it remains monumentally high for Russia.

Girkin writes:
Perhaps, now we can reliably say that the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began 5-6 days ago. It began with an auxiliary strike west of Wuhledar in the Volnovakha direction. At the same time, attacks-demonstrations (with tactical purposes) were launched on the Donetsk front - in the Vodiane-Opytnoe area, tactical attacks are being made in the Bakhmut area. Well, the day before yesterday, an offensive was launched in the main direction - in the Orekhov region towards Melitopol. To date: the auxiliary attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not led to any results, except for heavy losses. We failed to take Novodonetskoye, in the rest of the sectors - at best, small tactical successes, measured in a few kilometers of the "gray zone" and several hundred meters deep in our forward positions. Near Donetsk - no change. Under Bakhmut - small (and insignificant from all points of view) tactical advances of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the main axis, the enemy goes "for broke", stubbornly attacking our positions in order to break through the front. At the moment - after a day of continuous fighting, it is indirectly known about minor penetrations, there are no breakthroughs. And there are big losses. A significant part of them are in minefields in the "gray zone" and from our air strikes there. It suddenly became clear that our aviation was ready precisely for such a development of events as a massive night attack, it was able to fire guided missiles at night no worse than during the day, and prepared in advance for an enemy attack. Now the "partners" have two options: stop burning their reserves in frontal attacks, crawl back and regroup (in fact, curtail the offensive at the very beginning) or still try - using the significant superiority created in the number of people and line units - to first push through the front , and then try to break through it (as they did last year near Davydov Brod in the Kherson region). I assume that the enemy will not stop the attacks that have been launched, will not change plans on the go, and we will have a long bloody battle. Depending on the success of the enemy, it can last from several days (4-5) to 2-3 weeks. If the enemy manages to achieve at least minimally encouraging successes, he will beat and beat in the hope of a breakthrough. No - attacks will gradually fade as losses increase. Once again, I state that the obviousness of the direction of the main attacks of the enemy did not allow him to achieve operational surprise, just as it was not possible to divert reserves to secondary directions and send them (despite the hysteria of Prigozhin and Co., who seemed to "play along" with partners) to Belgorodskoe a direction to repel the sorties of the DRG (which does not mean, of course, that it was impossible to repel them there much more effectively without attracting reserves from the Southern Front). Our counter-offensive after repelling an enemy offensive is not to be expected even in the most optimistic scenario - the enemy, even after the defeat, will have a serious superiority in manpower and the number of combined arms formations. Without broad mobilization and the creation of new armies and corps (an additional 300,000 military personnel - at least more or less normally trained, armed and equipped) - the RF Armed Forces will not be able to successfully attack with the strategic goals of defeating the enemy.

Russians rejoice at destruction of Leopard tanks

Contrary to the high hopes of the Kyiv regime, the armored vehicles transferred by the West could not guarantee the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in carrying out another attempt to attack Russian positions. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported about the heavy losses of Ukrainian formations in personnel and armored vehicles. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed on social networks footage of the destruction of German-made Leopard tanks and other Western-made armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Apparently, this happened during the repulse by Russian troops of an attempted counteroffensive by Ukrainian formations in one of the directions. According to the Russian military department, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost 28 tanks and 136 units of other military equipment, including 79 units of foreign-made military equipment. Among the destroyed 28 tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 8 tanks are German-made Leopard. 3 French-made AMX-10 wheeled tanks were also destroyed (in reality they are more like armored reconnaissance vehicles).
Thus, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation inflicted a serious defeat on the Ukrainian formations. The loss of eight Leopard tanks is also impressive, since this number is a fairly tangible part of the total number of tanks of this type transferred to Ukrainian formations by a number of European states.
The more Ukraine loses foreign military equipment, the less actively the West will transfer it to Kiev, realizing that it is actually disarming itself by sending its equipment, albeit old, for genuine disposal in the conflict zone.

I saw lots of Russian clown posters celebrating destruction of Turkish Leopard tanks.

Now Turkish posters are celebrating numerous Russian Tanks getting destroyed.

Lets not forget their formidable ones like the T90 and the BMP T Terminator all heading to the scrapyard.

I cant wait to see the T14 next.

Please keep the following in mind as Ukraine 🇺🇦 begins its summer offensive.

1. Russian propaganda will be out in full force. They try deeply to control the narrative for the sake of their 140 million citizens that must be spoon fed propaganda so that they don't lynch the Russian government in the streets. Ukrainian losses will be deeply embellished and exaggerated at every turn, as Russia struggles to win the information war.

2. Ukraine is going to suffer significant losses in the coming weeks. It's inevitable when assaulting dug in defenses, manned by a peer combatant. Attackers usually face a 3 to 1 attrition rate in combat and Ukraine knows this. They're going to suffer and are prepared to suffer.

3. Russia has built a coping narrative that the West thinks its equipment is indestructible. They do this so that when they destroy Western made tanks or armored vehicles they can claim some kind of grand victory. That said, everybody knows that Western armor is far from indestructible. In most cases it has better systems and survivability than Russian equipment, but it's nowhere near indestructible. The West is donating this equipment to Ukraine full well knowing that a lot of it will be lost in battle. That's what it was made for and Russia was / is the enemy it was built to go to battle with. Expect losses. They're neccessary for victory.
