L2 A6 also deployed. If Ukraine cannot force a breakthrough quickly, this conflict could become very long.
It's going to be long and bloody. There is really no way around that given Ukraine's combat capabilities. They don't have NATO's ability to control the skies and rain hell down on the Russians from above. As a result, they have to advance through prepared defenses and it's going to cost them a lot of armor and a lot of lives. That's why I'm been saying that the USA, Germany, Britain, France, Poland and the rest of Ukraine's main support group, need to be preparing the next 75 Leopard 2 MBTs, 200 Leopard 1 MBTs, 100 M1A1 Abrams MBTs, 60 PT-90 Twardy MBTs, 200 Bradley IFVs, 50 Marder IFVs, 100 Warrior IFVs, 50 CV90 IFVs, 50 AMX10-RC IFVs, 100 Rosomak IFVs and 500 APCs and MRAPs. Not to mention, another 20,000-30,000 troops needs to be trained, ASAP, to use these vehicles. You must have follow on forces ready to sustain the offensive. Undoubtedly, there are going to be significant losses suffered throughout this campaign. The only way you're going to win it is by breaking Russian will through the constant addition of Western made armor and Ukrainian troops to the combat zone.
The other thing that would help tremendously is if Ukraine was given more of the types of weapons that Russia is willing to use, but that the West typically avoids using. Phosphorous and Magnesium to burn the Russians out. Other incendiary munitions would be helpful as well, as would a pile of cluster munitions that Ukraine can rain down on established Russian defensive positions. As Ukraine gets closer as well, 155mm RAAM shells will be very useful. Firing them behind the Russian positions will cause the build up of minefields, that way, as they retreat from areas to reform defensive lines, they're caught between the RAAM mines the attackers. Furthermore, Ukraine needs about 500 more multi-variant cruise missiles, including Taurus, SCALP, Storm Shadow and JASSM, so they can use them more liberally to attack softer targets, including Russian troop concentrations and troublesome defensive positions. The same can be said for 1000 lb and 2000 lb bunker buster style bombs. Ukraine could greatly use the ability to demolish entire Rusdian defensive positions, rather than have to fight towards them. Just drop a big ass bomb on 50 troops and turn them to mist and memories. You'll face far less attrition than trying to attack via frontal assault.
