Peter Zion speculates that Turkiye was behind the navel drones that Ukraine utilises.
I've been following Peter Zeihan for a while. IMO, he cannot distinguish between what he wants to happen and objective facts, at some points.

As for Ukraine's naval drones, I almost certainly think that the British provided this technology.

For everything wise this guy says, he's also known to say some outlandish ignorant bullshit too. Like claiming in Turkiye women have to wear hijabs.
Nice trick, to bring Turkey into target of Putin.

Nice trick, to bring Turkey into target of Putin.

One thing is certain all these western political mouth pieces all push the same image of Turkiye, the unreliable two faced ally of the west, close friend of Putin. But any opportunity they get to try and stir war between Turkiye and Russia they push it.

""If you see two fish fighting in water, you can be sure an Englishman passed by five minutes ago"

The western European has a magically ability to constantly shit stir and turn even the most peaceful societies upside down.

Imagine these guys were pretty much able to get every minority to pick up guns and turn on the Ottoman state, despite having histories of lying, deceit and complete treachery.

These same tricks are employed with the Kurds and Armenians today against the Turks.

Ukraine developing success in the south

August 8, 2023, 10:53

Armed Forces of Ukraine have been on the offensive since the beginning of June

Information about this is presented in a dosed manner in order to save the lives of the military, Natalya Gumenyuk noted.

The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are developing success after breaking through the first line of defense of the Russian aggressors in separate areas in the south. This was announced by the head of the Joint Coordinating Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalya Gumenyuk, on the air of the telethon on Tuesday, August 8.

"Yes. But this work is quite difficult. This is only the first stage, when the defense line breaks through. After that, you need to gain a foothold in those areas and ensure security for the units that made the same breakthrough. Therefore, the news here may be somewhat slowed down," Gumenyuk said. answering the question whether the Armed Forces of Ukraine manage to develop successes after breaking through the first line of defense of the enemy in certain sectors of the front.

According to her, the advance is underway, but it is reported in a dosed manner in order to save the lives of our military.

Recall, on August 4, Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to break through the first line of defense of the Russians in some areas of the south. Currently, they have reached the intermediate line.

According to the General Staff, the Defense Forces continue the offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, and consolidate on the achieved lines.

The West has teamed up with Russia numerous times against the Turks. Best example is history.

West only backed us when the Russian bear started to go over the limits imposed by the West.

Because the West did not want the Russian bear to eat the whole Ottoman Empire in one go. Because they wanted the piece of cake to go to them.

The AFU took apart a downed Russian Tornado-S 300-mm guided missile and found that it was manufactured in February of 2023 with Chinese fabricated printed circuits.

  1. The 'Russia will be running out of chips' hype gang from last year are noticably silent
  2. China will walk out of this completely fine
  3. Shows just how resilient a country at war is, and shows just how good a smuggling rings can be, more so if it is a state sponsored smuggling ring.

What Ukrainians are doing in the Black Sea war must be studied and implemented by Turkey too. Turkey is working on many similar projects with the development of our own anti- ship missiles and sea drones but we must find ways to perfect this type of warfare and implement new technologies, weapons and tactics.

Turkey must be able to destroy and harass every ship and navy that is in the Aegean, Mediterranean or Black sea... without even trying to use it's "real" navy.

Apparently and undisclosed country (suspected to be The Netherlands 🇳🇱) purchased 50 Leopard 1A5 MBTs from OIP Land Systems, a private weapons dealer in Belgium 🇧🇪. According to the Dutch source, the tanks arrived in Ukraine on August 7th and were repaired and modernized prior to shipping.

These Leopard 1A5s have yet to be displayed in Ukrainian service.

In the north-east of Moscow, a powerful mushroom of smoke:
a plant was exploded💪😎🇺🇦

⚡️Office of Zelensky reacted to the new drone attack on Moscow

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the OP, believes that "Putin's clan" is increasingly actively and persistently moving the war to its own territory, which, in his opinion, is an impeccable symbol of today.

Germany 🇩🇪 has supplied Ukraine with two additional launchers for Patriot air defense systems. These launchers will augment existing systems, increasing Patriot's coverage envelope.

Meanwhile, Britain 🇬🇧 has quietly supplied Ukraine with an unspecified number of trucks converted to fire AIM-132 ASRAAM air defense missiles. The ASRAAM replaced Britain's AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles in 2007 and each unit costs around $200,000 and has air-to-air range of 25+ km. We don't know how significant the range is when the missiles are fired from the ground. These vehicles are being deployed in a mobile, SHORAD role, intercepting Russian drones and cruise missiles.

As we head into the fall and the expected delivery of Western fighter jets nears, Ukraine is focusing on maximizing their air defense capabilities. Additional NASAMS systems are coming online, with 14 total expected to be delivered throughout 2023-2025. Additional Gepard systems will arrive from Germany as they are modernized and combat readied. USA has been gradually loading Ukraine up with Stinger missiles to fire from Avenger systems, AMRAAMs and AIM-9X to fire from NASAMS, and numerous countries have been sending hundreds of older AIM-7 missiles that have been retrofitted to Ukraine's BUK systems. Additional Patriot / SAMP/T are required for balistic missile defense, but no news of additional, complete systems has been noted this point.

The good news for Ukraine is that Russia has, obviously, reached and uncomfortably low level of many of its best missiles. Namely Kalibr and Iskandr missiles, as well as its Kh class missiles. At this point, Russia can probably only afford to fire 50-100 missiles per month, as they don't have sufficient industry to replace them, especially considering the cost. Ukraine's interception rate of missiles is now between 70-90% (depending on the region target). That means Russia's return on investment for the majority of its missile strikes has become shockingly low, at time in which their stockpiles have become uncomfortably taxed.

This is the time for Germany to provide Ukraine with Taurus and USA to provide Ukraine JASSM, to bolster the supply of Storm Shadow and SCALP. They don't need a lot to make a huge difference. Even 50 Taurus and 100 JASSM would allow Ukraine to wreak havoc on Russian logistics and command nerve centers in Ukraine throughout the fall (when combined with SCALP and Storm Shadow).

Something to watch on the funding front for Ukraine's defense effort. USA 🇺🇲 has exhausted the majority of the Congressionally approved $25 Billion usd in drawdown authority that was granted to President Biden. All that remains is $6.2 Billion usd that was the product of miscalculation. With a $200 million package expected today, that leaves only $6.0 Billion in drawdown authority. The Government is currently working on a supplemental bill that could be as much as an additional $15 Billion, but it's not expected until sometime in the mid-to-late fall. As a result, expect continual $200-$500 million packages to be announced every 2-3 weeks for Ukraine as they have previously. However, before F-16s and other big ticket items can be sent, another substantial aid bill eill need to be passed.

The drawdown authority is not critically low at this point, but it is dwindling. In the meantime, this is Europe's opportunity to step up maximize their support, while the UA politicians agree on a new bill.
