Looks like I am going to have to create a T-14 armata thread talking about all its capabilities since I received this news today.

Ruselectronics has developed an "all-seeing" infrared camera with a detection range of up to 20 km

yjfl5v2m1yb5p062v0lklirys11cew2z.jpg

The Ruselectronics Holding of Rostec State Corporation has released the first prototypes of a universal infrared television camera capable of "seeing" tens of kilometers in all weather conditions and at any time of the day.

The new devices are part of the line of television cameras developed by the Central Research Institute "Electron" (part of "Ruselectronics") for operation in conditions of poor visibility. A number of modifications can be used in drones, ground-based surveillance systems, as part of surveillance and tracking onboard systems of various aircraft, for example, during rescue operations.

The camera operates in the near-infrared range of 0.95-1.65 μm and can be synchronized with laser illumination. The photons reflected from the detected objects are read by a special television sensor in a sealed case, inside of which there is a radiation-sensitive photocathode and an electronically sensitive matrix in a vacuum. Such know-how of the specialists of the Central Research Institute "Electron" allows you to reduce the amount of noise interference and increase the resolution of the camera.

Since the main signal that the device captures is the laser illumination received at the set time, the foreground and background of the image are suppressed. When using laser illumination, the equipment detects objects at a distance of up to 20 km and generates a high-resolution image even in complete darkness, in conditions of fog, rain, dust storms, etc. "Near-infrared cameras are in stable demand from both military and civilian customers, since such devices are indispensable for solving a whole range of tasks.

For example, our product can be used to detect people on the water during rescue operations. A SWIR camera at night allows you to observe objects an order of magnitude clearer than devices operating in the visible spectral range. And when using laser illumination, the detection range of objects in our device is 3-3.5 times greater than that of medium- and long-wave systems. Thus, our development "looks" further and "sees" better, "said Alexey Vyaznikov, General Director of the Central Research Institute "Electron".

Central Research Institute "Electron" is the leading enterprise in Russia for the development and production of photoelectronic devices, devices and cameras.

For reference the 3rd Gen FLIR promisided for the SepV4 which I think got cancelled for Abrams X uses long wave and midwave infrared detection https://asc.army.mil/web/portfolio-item/iews-third-generation-forward-looking-infrared/ this camera speaks of SWIR and near infrared which offers higher resolution capabilities that what was proposed as the 3rd gen FLIR. so I think Russia might have atleast surpassed the U.S. in infrared technology if I am reading this article right, because in 2020 sepv4s received them with 20.8km range(8km 2nd gen FLIR times 2.6) capabilities while the russians got the same range but with a more clear resolution without weather or day and night effecting it.

This means the 20km ATGM can be supported to hit its target by
1. its drone.
2.possibly radar since sources said 100km and tracking 40 targets, some didn't believe the range so lets say 20km
3. High resolution infrared detection with laser illumination.

NOTE: they are showing a handheld infrared camera than optics based on tanks or aircrafts which might imply the tanks can have a farther range for bigger size. Armatas have been postponed for a year from going to the front to receive new electronics.

Footage of the damaged Russian large landing ship "Minsk", project 775/II, has been published; we have technical information about these ships on our channel. The ship was damaged after an attack on Sevastopol by Ukrainian Storm Shadow cruise missiles, manufactured in Great Britain; information about these missiles is also available on the channel. As you can see in the video, the ship received significant damage and it will take a long time to restore it. On the same day, the diesel submarine B-237 "Rostov-on-Don" of project 636.3 "Varshavyanka" was also damaged; it was in dry dock for repairs. It is not yet known what damage the submarine received, most likely minor since it is protected by a durable hull. Despite the severe damage to the Minsk landing ship, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that both ships would be repaired.

Footage of an attack by two Ukrainian FPV drones on a Russian T-72B3 tank, this is a modernization of the tank created in 2011. FPV drones were equipped with warheads from RKG-3EM hand-held cumulative grenades; the RKG-3EM series grenade is capable of penetrating up to 220 mm of armor. RKG-3 grenades were actively used in the Soviet army before the advent of the RPG-18 grenade launcher. Reportedly, this attack occurred in the Krasnolimansky direction, where two tanks stormed a stronghold of the Ukrainian army; for an unknown reason, the grenades mounted on the drones did not work. The video has been shortened.

Not during wartime, and everything can be bent depending on which side you're on.

You will be surprised how many are dealing with Russia despite the war.

Somehow Turkiye gets some of its own companies sanctioned.

Just a carrot and stick approach. Turkiye and Russia are not at war only engaged in a proxy war. Which by the way USA indirectly supported Russia against Turkiye.

Intelligence: Russians try to downplay it - but damage to naval vessels is 'catastrophic'

A Russian warship - a landing craft - and a Kilo-class submarine were hit during a significant Ukrainian attack on a shipyard in the port city of Sevastopol early Wednesday morning.

The two naval vessels were being repaired in dry docks when suspected missiles struck.

The Russian Ministry of Defense tries to downplay the damage to these vessels, but evidence gathered through open sources reveals that the amphibious craft have in all probability been functionally destroyed and that the submarine has suffered "catastrophic damage".

This is what the British Ministry of Defense writes in its latest update on the war and refers to the following:

It will probably take several years and cost hundreds of millions of dollars to get the submarine back into operation.

The British considerthat the loss of the submarine is significant because it constitutes one of the Russians' total of four submarines which have the capacity to launch cruise missiles. These submarines thus play a major role in Russia's attack on Ukraine and the Russians' power over the Black Sea.

The satellite images below are one of the pieces of evidence the British Ministry of Defense refers to:

The use of the Russian T-80BV tank as an artillery installation in Ukraine. As you know, there are practically no tank battles with each other in Ukraine; both sides use tanks as mobile artillery. The crew of the Russian T-80BV tank told how the tank works from closed firing positions, adjusting fire from a UAV.

An experimental naval drone of the SBU hit the Russian missile ship "Samum" in the Black Sea.

Yesterday," sea-baby" naval drone hit the Russian missile ship Samum.

Ukrainian media write about this with reference to sources in the SBU. Neither party officially confirmed the information.

It is reported that the Russians towed their ship for repairs with serious damage.

[Ka-52M] The volume of defense orders at the Progress Helicopter Plant, which produces Ka-52M combat helicopters, doubled in 2023. This plant is already preparing the GOZ-2024. This factory is big, it seems empty. 30 Ka-52M in 2023??
[Russia] Sergei Shoigu became familiar with the manufacturing process of Ka-52M helicopters in the workshops of the Progress factory. New equipment, increasing the combat survivability of the helicopter. Crew training complex

Mr. Shoigu in Zvezda
Inside the plant there are one 949A in modernization, probably CHelyabisnk
The other you can see in satellite images should be the Irkutsk and modernization should be near completion

"Sergei Shoigu checked the execution of the state defense order at the Zvezda plant in Primorye. An Izd.23380 floating dock for nuclear submarines. Progress of repairs and modernization of nuclear submarines Izd.949AM"

It must be produced from very cheap material and leaving a lot of quality issues to be desired due to the need for speedy production. They are the worst performing combat chopper in Ukraine. I don'tunderstand why Russia wants more of these.. Instead the Mi-35 and derivatives or the Mi-28 even would've been a better choice to push for more production.
The Ka-52 also burn to a crisp making some wonder what they're actually made of.
