A good leader knows when he must fight and when not to fight. If you cant win a war, than there is no logic explanaition to fight because you are destroying yourself.

When it concerns Russia and Ukraine, to not fight more will die. Then once your occupied the life you live is utter hell, communist style hell. Russians only yesterday starved over 3 million Ukrainians to death. Trust, had Russia walked into Ukraine a massive purge would have taken place, maybe millions of Ukrainians would have perished.

From a Turkish perspective we cannot allow Russia to take any more land around the blacksea, the more they take the more energy and resources the Turks will have to allocated against Russia. It will limit our capacity to operate. And the bigger Russia grows the more she will interfere with Turkey and the higher the chance of war with Russia becomes.

As far as Ukraine is concerned they are doing really well, if they could just get some real weapons they could put this sick man of Eurasia to bed. Everyone would benefit from it, including the russians themselves who live a miserable existence.

Slovakia supports Hungary's veto of EUR 50 billion of aid for Ukraine​

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico joined the veto of his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban on financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR 50 billion over four years, Reuters reports.​

The publication notes that during the joint press conference, Orban expressed the view that any financial mechanism for Ukraine should be separate from the EU budget, proposing the creation of a mechanism based on the distribution of assistance in accordance with gross national income. However, giving EUR 50 billion from the EU budget four years in advance is considered a violation of EU sovereignty and national interests.

According to Fico, Slovakia supports Hungary's position, and its government “would not support any measures limiting Budapest's rights inside the EU.” He also calls Orban's opposition to EU budget changes "legitimate" and says the Slovak government would back any proposals the Hungarian prime minister “has already put forward or will put forward."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 15, Orban blocked the EU's allocation of EUR 50 billion for Ukraine.

Also on January 9, Finnish MEP Petri Sarvamaa initiated a petition to deprive Hungary of the right to vote in the Council of the European Union. On January 12, Sarvamaa announced that he had collected the necessary 120 signatures on a petition to deprive Hungary of the right to vote in the Council of the European Union.

The U.S. Department of State said it was "disappointed" by Orban's policy towards Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Budapest expressed its readiness to abandon the opposition regarding new long-term financing for Ukraine to the European Union.

France has released compressive details regarding some of the military aid they will donate / provide to Ukraine throughout 2024. Below are the details.

78 additional CAESAR, 155mm howitzers: It was announced today that Ukraine purchased 6 additional CAESARS for immediate delivery. French arms manufacturer Nexter will provide 6-7 additional units to Ukraine each month, however, France wants the EU to share the cost burden and have multiple countries take turns paying for the units to be shipped. France will foot the bill for the first 12 (beyond the 6 Ukraine has purchased) and will be looking for EU members to find the the next 60 units.

300 AASM long range, GPS guided bomb kits: The French will send Ukraine 50 AASM per month in 2024, from their own inventories. They will replace the older units they send with new AASMs as they send them.

40 SCALP-EG cruise missiles: France has committed to sending the much needed cruise missiles at an undisclosed rate, but all will arrive in 2024.

The sad reality is that USA has more than 2500 Bradleys in storage and has 700 A4 models on order, with an open order to double that number if need be.

USA sent Ukraine 186 Bradleys, of which, 60-70 have been damaged and or destroyed, but they've been fantastic in their "tip of the spear" defensive role. They can easily send 300-400 more in 2024 and it wouldn't impact their fighting force at all. The ODS models that they have sent and would continue to send, are going to be stored, with no plans for future use in the U.S. Army.

It would only cost USA $1-1.2 Billion usd to send Ukraine an additional 300 Bradleys. And by cost, I mean vehicle value, not additional funds that would have to be spent given that they were paid for years ago and are in storage.

Arestovich was neither Zelensky's aide nor a participant in the peace negotiations. He is a blogger and was an unpaid communications advisor to the Office of the President. The Office of the President is the entirety of the Ukrainian federal apparatus working for the President, consisting of thousands of employees. He was not part of the negotiations by anyone's admission other than his own. Arestovich is well-known in Ukraine for his pseudo-science seminars for young people about relationships. He has at this point claimed so many outrageous things that everyone has lost track, he's like Ukraine's Dan Bilzerian. You're selecting terrible sources because they say what you want to hear.

Australia intends to burie in to the ground nh 90 helicopters. Australia is not willing to hand them over to Ukraine.
The last accident with nh90 showed , that human error was involved. Out of 500 nhl 90 helicopters, there has been 11 accidents.
At the moment Australian army has no any transport helicopters.
Now all this is a bit confusing. On one hand, why buy the helicopters than do anything in its power to discredit the original manufacturer, the second question is why not to donate them. I know Australian Government is claiming that nh 90 ain't flight worthy but at least. If it is true at all, can they take the parts from some helicopters and install them to other.
Or maybe, a part of this affair is that, besides damaging Russia, Anglo Saxons want to damage Europeans?
