is this on top of the previous order of 18? or is 54 the total number currently on order
It appears to be it appears to be 54 total units as of now. Germany 🇩🇪 announced 18 units back in late 2022, followed by 18 additional units at the Munich summit. 18 more units have been ordered (for a total of 54 units), but there is no word on who paid for them.

In short the relationship between democracies and it's people is that of Putin and Medvedev to the Russian people.

The true power is safe, but at least people think/fooled into believing that there's an actual change by replacing people's below.

You still didn’t understand anything. It’s about changing the top people and their party from power, with someone who presents opposite ideas.

If Gary Kasparov could defeat Putin in an election and become president, that would be democratic. But this cannot happen in Russia, because real opposition is not permitted.

Russian military personnel published footage of a Ukrainian FPV drone hitting a Ural truck. Thanks to additional protection in the form of bars, the truck crew was not injured. The servicemen waited out the attack and moved on.

Air power at work. That's why sufficient long range IAMD is the lifeline of your land forces when you lack interceptors.

Glide bombs and Lancets have definitely been Russia's most consistently effective weapons during the war. Lancets from near the outset of the war and glide bombs over the last year.

It will be interesting to see if the influx off Western air defense systems and the arrivals of F-16s with AMRAAMS will help alleviate some of that effectiveness. Will Russia be willing to bring their SU-35s close enough to the border and risk Ukrainian ground based air defense shooting them down, in order to engage Ukrainian F-16s with standoff weapons such as the R-37.

Will modern western artillery continue to flow into Ukraine in a bid to fully replace Ukraine's Soviet systems? This is what has been committed so far...

Obviously Ukraine has been able to repair some of 221 howitzers on the damaged / destroyed list. In particular, they've set up a repair facility in Poland that is repair and returning to service damaged M777s. How many is hard to say however, therefore, I'm going to count them as lost for the sake of this count and assume they're out of action.

With an influx of artillery shells incoming over the next 12-18 months, it's going to be vitally important that the West provide Ukraine with more howitzers to replace their losses. That said, many countries are already back ordered and are delivered new howitzers to Ukraine fresh of the assembly line. So what artillery do I think can be donated to Ukraine over the next year and from what countries?

I estimate that there are nearly 450 additional Western made howitzers in current inventories / coming off Western assembly lines that could end up committed to Ukraine over the the next 12-18 months. That should be enough to maintain their current batteries and add several others along with the domestic production of Bohdana 155mms. That said, for Ukraine to really take a big step forward in the artillery war, they would need France 🇫🇷, Germany🇩🇪, USA 🇺🇸, Britain 🇬🇧, Poland 🇵🇱 and Turkey 🇹🇷 to approve large scale sales either directly to Ukraine, or to third party buyers for Ukraine.

A batch of 72 Patriot PAC 3 MSE air defense missiles that were intended for Switzerland 🇨🇭 will now be sent to Ukraine 🇺🇦. The Swiss will still receive their missiles, but will have to wait on their delivery for the foreseeable future to receive $340 million usd worth of modern air defense missiles.

This makes total sense. The Swiss have been a pain in the ass for NATO since the outset of the war, maintaining their neutrality and refusing to allow Gepard ammunition and Leopard 1 / Leopard 2 tanks from its stocks to be donated to Ukraine, even if purchased by a third party. That's the Swiss decision and I respect it, but I also respect the fact that USA 🇺🇸 is deprioritizing the arms deliveries to them, as a price for hindering the NATO effort for Ukraine. Switzerland isn't under any kind of threat. They have no pressing need for the missiles... Back of the line you go.

Never claimed they were. They sell weapons to NATO countries, however, and are refusing for those weapons to be re-sold / donated to Ukraine. Therefore, USA 🇺🇸 is simply putting them at the back of the line for receiving American made weapons. If they want to remain neutral, that's completely their perogative. They simply go to the back of the line to get them. Seems like a reasonable compromise for both sides doesn't it? The Swiss will, eventually, get their PAC-3 missiles... After everyone else that is supporting the war effort gets theirs first.

A North Korean official kicked out of the meeting room all Russian ministers who were ahead of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Present in the meeting room were Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and other Russian ministers.

The Korean kicked out the “proud” ministers of Russia, the “second world superpower”, from the hall, like Muslims kicking dogs out of a mosque:ROFLMAO:

Lmao... Supporting the war effort. Are you serious?

Your talking like Canada would be in war, or the US or Europe... It's because of people like you that this war is still not over and will be kept dragging along for years and years to come with hundreds of thousands more dead people.

US sold tanks, fighters and other kit to many European countries that wanted to transfer them to Ukraine but were blocked by the US. If Switzerland is a pain in the ass, US has been a massive pain in the ass.

This attitude is so disgusting when coming from a European.

I guess Hitler shouldn’t have spared Switzerland back in the day, so maybe people like you would understand more the difference between aggressor and victim.

Lol... Because I'm sure Switzerland 🇨🇭 would be more than OK giving up 18% of their country, full of super valuable minerals and multiple ocean ports. The second time in 10 years they've have had land annexed by Russia.

The Swiss, like any other country, would be incensed by that kind of development in their country.

It's people like you that would have just let Hitler have all of Europe. Pathetic.

- U.S. has approved the transfer of American made F-16s to Ukraine by everyone in Europe that has them to spare and is actively training pilots to help in that mission.

- U.S. has approved the transfer of American made M109 howitzers to Ukraine by everyone in Europe that has them to spare.

- U.S. has approved the transfer of American made M113 APCs to Ukraine by everyone in Europe that has them to spare.

- U.S. has approved the transfer of Javelins, Stingers, 155mm and 105mm artillery shells, GMLRS, etc by everyone in Europe that has them to spare.

- U.S. has approved the transfer of Patriot air defense systems by everyone in Europe that has them to spare.

There is no American made weapon in Europe that I can think of, that the Americans haven't approved for transfer to Ukraine.

I have no ill will against the Swiss. I respect their right as a nation to practice neutrality. But I am glad they are getting the "back of the bus" treatment. They shouldn't be rewarded for their stance, IMO.

Article from June 2023
The Ukrainians have been asking for Western fighter jets almost from the day of Russia’s invasion. But the answer from the Pentagon, which can block other f-16 user countries from supplying the American-made aircraft, was always negative.

The reasons given were of two sorts. The first set were supposedly practical. It would take 18 months to train Ukrainian pilots and ground crew to fly and maintain aircraft as sophisticated and unfamiliar as the f-16. Ukrainian runways were not of a high enough standard. The cost would be prohibitive. Ukraine, so the chairman of America’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, patronisingly averred, should focus on other priorities.

Note that 18 months from March 2022 was September 2023. According to the American general, that is when Ukraine could have started using them.

US could have put Ukraine in a position to win a long time ago by providing the right kit without the wrong restrictions on their use.

All is forgiven now, perhaps, but when historians look back on this conflict, I think they will see that US reluctance to honour its pledge to defend Ukraine cost tens of thousands of extra lives.

You prove to be completely ignorant comparing Hitler and WW2 to the situation in Ukraine, it's like comparing oranges to potato, but I guess you have to tell yourself fairytales to keep backing up your warmongering nature.

Good thing the vast majority of the population of Europe doesn't share your opinion, bad thing is that warmongers like yourself are leaders of many countries in Europe, tho judging from the last horrible defeats in Germany, France etc... they won't be for too long, serves them right for being ignorant like yourself.
