Russia was pushing hard to gain territory before Trump gained power, with increased daily losses (reported as 1,500+ a day). As you say, a lot of Russian forces must have been falling on territory later controlled by Russia.
Are you guys just straight up ignoring the big gains Ukraine made in the past and the body exchange was still being favorable to Russia?

Russia conducts extremely risky attacks with infantry in which large numbers are killed. Remember the attacks by Wagner a couple of years ago now in which many, many thousands died taking a town in Donbass? Remember this winter when Russian daily casualties were reported to have reached 2000+ for a time? You lose more troops with meatgrinder tactics, don't you? I do not think that Ukraine uses those meatgrinder tactics, so should have a lower casualty rate than Russia.

The Russian State Duma plans to "regulate" potato prices, which in 2024 alone increased by 92 per cent. This year, they have risen by another 24 per cent, reports "Komsomolskaya Pravda." - Potatoes should not be a luxury; their price should be stable - assessed Duma Deputy Chairman Boris Chernyshov.

Russian commentator Konstantin - I think he is an economist - thinks the potato harvest reduced due to the end of import of quality seed potatoes from their normal source in the EU. Fixing a lower price will not increase the supply of potatoes. If anything it should decrease plantings and so reduce the supply still further. What use is it to have low price potatoes if there aren't enough produced to meet demand?

Regulating prices of basic necessities is a very inportant part of the Nicolas Maduro Economic Model. The Russians seem to be moving in that direction. After all, they are very similar to Venezuela: a country with lots of oil, under sanctions and led by an imbecile.

We all know how well this model worked for Venezuela: empty shelves in supermarkets and astronomical inflation, with black market curency exchange rates. Hopefully it will be the same in Russia.

Footage of the aftermath of a strike by Ukrainian HIMARS MLRS on a group of Russian Mi-28NM and Mi-8AMTSh helicopters in the Belgorod region of Russia on March 24 has been published. We previously showed this MLRS strike, but judging by the video, our conclusions were wrong and the attack really took place. As was recently reported, the Mi-28NM was restored, but the Mi-8 will probably be written off. As can be seen in the video, the armor of the Mi-28NM helicopter cabin and canopy withstood a hit by tungsten balls from a GMLRS M30A2 missile. A local resident reported to the Ukrainian army about the temporary base with helicopters.

led by an imbecile.
Your hate for Putin influences your judgement.
If he was an imbecile,he wouldnt have taken Crimea and the road to Crimea.
I would say he is smart and a strategic thinker.
Just take a look at the situation,3 years war and still nothing significant happened to Russia.
Soon the war will be over and Russia comes out stronger(fact).
''Who's fault is that?'' you could ask and i would answer only the US and the EU are at fault here for not providing real game changing weapons at the start of the war.

Moreover, Putin is still gaining territory in Ukraine every day while Ukraine is starting mobilise 18-24 years old teenagers and all of this is happening while billions of dollars are entering Russian coffers and war funds from selling gas to the West

Sooner or later, Ukraine will collapse either by Russia or by the US sucking whatever life is left from Ukraine

Yes, Russia is gaining territory. As I have shown in past posts, the daily amount is miniscule in terms of Ukraine's area.

Yes, Russia has a bigger pool from which to recruit soldiers.

Gas sales to the West IIRC are down a lot. I won't check the number just now. However, Gazprom's 2024 accounts show an absolutely massive loss (unless you don't see a 1 trillion ruble loss as an absolutely massive loss). I think that Gazprom has no more profit to contribute to the war effort.

Look at the 2025 government budget basing some incoming receipts on forecast ruble and Urals crude values in 2025. They suggest a far higher ruble value per barrel than is likely, and will likely lead to much lower government receipts from oil and a much higher budget deficit than forecast. That will have to be covered somehow - taking it from the liquid assets in the wealth fund, selling assets like shares owned by the state or borrowing. Things are looking bad, not good for Russia in 2025.

Both warring countries are under severe stress.

I say he is an imbecile not because I hate him, but because this is what he truly is.

He is the leader of Russia since 2000, so he had 25 years to show his worth. He had presided over a big country with huge natural reserves and a big nuclear arsenal which gives it complete autonomy and safety.

What did he achieve in 25 years? His currency is worthless, his country has rampant inflation, his foreign exchange reserves are frozen by tiny countries like Belgium, his countrymen are dying in trenches in a useless war, or in meat assault in motorbikes or unarmored vehicles. Only a big retard would be able to achieve this.

I mean, considering its resources, Russia should have been as wealthy as Norway or Canada. Instead, 20% of Russians lack indoor plumbing.

A good leader would have developed the country, attracted foreign investment, created strong capital markets and engaged in free trade. Instead, he attracted economic sanctions in the same league as Iran and foreign capital fled Russia.

Russia is a ruined country with no future, despite having the potential to be one of the wealthiest in the world. Only an imbecile would be able to achieve such results.

An episode of the assault on Ukrainian positions near the city of Chasov Yar by a Russian armored group consisting of 3 tanks of the 4th motorized rifle brigade and one infantry fighting vehicle. Judging by the video, the equipment and the operation are well prepared. The tank models are not reported, all armored vehicles are equipped with Tsar-Barbecue protection to protect against drones, and there are also electronic warfare systems. A mine trawl is installed on one of the tanks to protect against mines. In the video, the tanks suppress a stronghold of the Ukrainian army with fire, after which they land troops and retreat to their original positions.

Russian FPV drone operators have shown footage of a drone attack on a Ukrainian BTR-4 Bucephalus. The video was filmed near the town of Liptsy in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. The BTR-4 Bucephalus was adopted by Ukraine in 2008 and is equipped with a 23-mm or 30-mm cannon, depending on the modification, as well as a grenade launcher or ATGM. In this version, the BTR-4 is reinforced with lattice protection of the Tsar-Mangal type. Judging by the video, the BTR-4 was abandoned. As a result of the Russian drone attack, the Ukrainian BTR-4 Bucephalus was destroyed.

High-quality footage of another attack by a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber, carrying a FAB-1500M-54 gliding bomb with an UMPK module. The video was filmed in the village of Burgunka in the Kherson direction. The strike was reportedly carried out on a temporary deployment point of the Ukrainian army in one of the buildings. Judging by the video, the bomb hit the building exactly, the radius of destruction of the fragments is clearly visible.

Technical data of the Russian FAB-1500M-54 aerial bomb, with a UMPK module

New archive footage of the destruction of a Russian Ka-52 helicopter with a MANPADS by servicemen of the former Russian PMC Wagner. The Ka-52 was shot down in the Voronezh region of Russia on June 24, 2023, during Wagner's campaign against Moscow, the pilots were killed. The attitude towards the head of the PMC Wagner and his role in the war in Ukraine is still ambiguous, people's opinions are divided. Recall that the Embraer Legacy 600 aircraft crashed in the Tver region on the evening of August 23, 2023, after taking off from Sheremetyevo Airport. There were ten people on board the plane, including Yevgeny Prigozhin and the commander of the PMC Wagner Dmitry Utkin. There are still no results of the investigation into the plane crash. Some videos on the topic of the PMC Wagner in the links to the videos in the comments to the video. The video also shows an appeal from the head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, to the former Russian Minister of Defense, General Sergei Shoigu.

The first consequences of the Ukrainian army's battles during an attempt to break through to the Belgorod region of Russia from the Sumy region of Ukraine have appeared. The episode of the video was filmed with a drone on the border of Russia and Ukraine, showing some of the abandoned and destroyed Ukrainian equipment. The battles are taking place in the vicinity of the settlements of Demidovka and Popovka in the Belgorod region of Russia. Judging by the video, protective concrete tetrahedrons, also called "Dragon's Teeth", complicated the breakthrough of the Russian border for Ukrainian equipment. Apparently, at the moment of overcoming them, all Ukrainian equipment was attacked by Russian drones and Ka-52 and Mi-28 helicopters using "Whirlwind" missiles. The video shows the destroyed and abandoned Ukrainian engineering vehicles Bergepanzer 2 and IMR-2, M2A2 Bradley ODS-SA IFV, Marder 1A3 IFV, M113 armored personnel carrier, T-72 tank and BMP-1TS with the "Spis" module. Technical information about the equipment is on the channel.

Oil prices cratering over the last 2 days will have a significant impact on Russia's ability to continue paying for this war. Russian Urals will be sold for well below the $60.00 per barrel "price cap" in the coming months, taking billions of dollars worth of profit away from the Russian economy.

Meanwhile, in response to North Korea's military aid for Russia, South Korea 🇰🇷 has announced that it will begin a series of low interest loans to Ukraine to support their national budget. The first loan tranche in the amount of $100 million usd had been agreed to and will be loaned through the South Korean export bank. South Korea is a signifant new source of funding for Ukraine as long as they keep their interest rates reasonable, which they appear committed to doing.

Remember at the start of the war Ukraine made big gains but the Washington post interviewed one of the soldiers saying 5 of them die just for 1 Russian? Remember when Blinken last year kept pushing Zelensky to push the mobilization age to 18 so they can plan one more large offensive and coming into the next year they dont think it is possible to plan another major offensive. Remember when Ukrainians keep getting surrounded in cauldrons all the fucking time which always results in higher casulites not counting the fact most of the killed in action 90%+ is done by explosions and we know Ukraine does not have remotely close have any firepower as good as the Russians. Remember when Europe kept pushing the idea of peacekeepers to have the US back them 100 times because of how badly Ukraine is losing this war and Trump made fun of Europe and Ukraine that they can't fight Russia by themselves because they are weak without them?

" A major offensive is hard to imagine" The reason it's hard to imagine is because Ukraine is lacking the bodies to hold the front while training additional bodies in the back for a major offensive.
