Norway has announced that they will spend $938 million usd to train and equip an entire Ukrainian mechanized infantry brigade. It's believed that the brigade will feature a tank battalion of German Leopard 1A5 MBTs and the infantry will use CV9035 MKIIIC IFVs that will be jointly provided by Sweden , Norway , The Netherlands announces and Denmark . The attached artillery battalion is likely to be Archer 155mm self-propelled howitzers. There is no word yet on what APCs the brigade will feature. The brigade will feature 3000-5000 personnel and the Baltic States will also participate in training and equiping the personnel.

The 152 mm DANA vz. 77 self-propelled howitzer was developed in 1977 in Czechoslovakia and has a firing range of up to 20 kilometers. I posted about this earlier in thread. The Brigade is bring equipped from scratch, with help from Sweden, Denmark, the Baltics and likely Finland (they just keep quiet). They're going to feature CV90 IFVs, Leopard 1A5 MBTs, Archer 155mm Artillery, a drone unit and unknown APCs.

It's not in any way cheap to train and fully equip a 3000-5000 person mechanized infantry brigade. $1 Billion usd sounds about right. It would probably be 2-3x that if we were talking a fully kitted out 5000 strong Western brigade.

Three Ukrainian 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers were attacked by Russian FPV drones "Prince Vandal Novgorodsky" controlled via fiber optic cable. The 122-mm 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer was first produced in the USSR in 1968. The howitzer is also used by the Russian army. The videos were filmed over several days in the area of the settlements of Fedorovka and Molocharka, this is the Kramatorsk and Konstantinovskoye direction. Footage of an attempt to break through a Ukrainian armored group from the Sumy region of Ukraine to the Belgorod region of Russia, the group was breaking through in the direction of the Russian village of Demidovka. It is worth noting that Ukrainian troops do not stop trying to break through to the village, it is not clear why this is being done. Perhaps this is how they stretch the front line, preventing Russian troops from creating large strike groups of troops. Rare footage of a Russian Grad MLRS strike on Ukrainian army positions in Pokrovsk was filmed by a Russian FPV drone. The drone was right in the epicenter of the rocket explosions. The 122 mm Grad multiple launch rocket system was adopted by the USSR in 1963. The firing range of the Grad MLRS is up to 42 km. More than 30 countries use the Grad MLRS, not counting similar systems.

Too late now, I think. It could have done that IMO but Biden was worried about escalation and opted to grind Russia's resources down through an extended stalemate conflict. Now, with EU support, I think that continuing the attrition of Russia's military, financial and economic resources is the way to bring Russia to its knees. You can't keep fighting without resources, can you?

PS You can if defending your homeland, perhaps, but not when you are attacking someone else's homeland.
