I really am astonished by the self-destructive patterns that are going on in Europe right now, your mindset is a great example of what is going on in Europe in the past 10-15 years, the self-destructive actions and self-harming mindsets of so many european politicians.

Look at Trump, hes a m*ron but at least he is in it for the interests of the US, even if he risks relationships with allied countries. As long as the USA profits.

Europe being completely opposite to that is the reason why that Europe is failing and the economy is struggling and they have major issues competitive and otherwise. Because they do things that actively hurt their own ;)economy and people.

Europe should care about their OWN PEOPLE not go against them.

I don't give 0 crap about Russia, if Russia is thriving or if Russia is destroying itself, I don't care, I care about my own country, my own continent, our people, our standard of living, I care about the best life for the people here.

But you and most of the european politicians who think very similar to you would rather see this war drag on ( and this war is just 1 example of many) just because you know the longer it drags on the more it hurts Russia and the more impact it will have on Russia... doesn't matter if its also impacting Europe and having a negative effect on Europe and our own people, as long as Russia is getting f*ked its fine, even if we are getting f*ked also in the process.

It really is astounding, really, I will simply never comprehend it.
Your concern about the economy is understandable. But here we are talking primarily about defense and security. Do you really not see any threat to Europe? Why don't you understand that the Russians, who are currently killing hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians, will immediately attack the Baltics and other European countries as soon as they absorb Ukraine? Is it really that hard to understand? It's obvious. Even the Germans already see it. Such a vast Germany sees that it is already in danger, but the Swiss do not! It's very strange and incomprehensible:rolleyes:
Are you Swiss living on the moon?
Perhaps you think Russia is so far from Switzerland that it poses no threat to you? If so, you're deeply mistaken: a Russian expeditionary force already crossed your impregnable Alps 225 years ago;)

Did you know this from history?
The endless number of Russian missiles frightens even America! Why don' отt they frighten you?! Because of your country's neutrality? If so, that's pure naivety. Sweden was also a neutral country! Did you see how quickly it joined NATO? Have you even heard of the Russo-Swedish wars? Frankly, I can't believe it...
It's strange: Europe is engulfed in the most brutal war since World War II, hundreds of thousands of people have died or been maimed, and yet our Swiss colleague is concerned about the deteriorating social situation in Europe!
Incredible shortsightedness!

Where does this attitude come from and where does this amount of hatred towards Russians come from? What I know from history and what we all in Europe easily and quickly forget is that since Russia has been strong, there has been no invasion from the east. The connection between Russia and the rest of Europe is natural in every way. If politicians were smart, this war would not have happened, and we would all be talking about joint economic growth now.

It comes from our history with the Russians. The way they treated us after WW2, stealing our resources and imposing their Communism on us, that kept us poor for decades. When we were under Russian occupation, it was the worst time in our history. And when we were under Russian influence, the second worst.

Because half of Europe has been occupied or turned into vassal states. That’s why there was no invasion from the East, because we were already under occupation, or vassals. The moment countries became free, the invasions started again (Georgia, Ukraine).

The connection between Russia and the rest of Europe is natural in every way. If politicians were smart, this war would not have happened, and we would all be talking about joint economic growth now.

But Russian politicians are not smart, they are imperialistic bullies. This is why we have war. Why is it so hard to understand that this war is the result of Russian aggression?

Europe can’t collaborate economically with Russia and live in peace, because Russia has other plans. Russia wants to dominate, to impose its will, to choose the leaders of European countries and turn them into vassals.

Russia is our common enemy. It’s sad that even after they invaded a sovereign European country, some people still think like you.

How big was Romanian foreign debt in 1989. and how big is now?

If there were no Russian empire Romania would still be Ottoman sandjak.

It takes two for dance, we shouldnt point finger only on one side for this war.

Russia is not European common enemy, newer was and newer will be.

It is more sad when people call for war and they dont know what war really is.

Most of the former communist countries before communism were not very democratic. They were either authoritarian kingdoms or dictatorships. As in the rest of Europe, there were very few democracies. Not to mention the statistical data on economic development and the development of education... Statistics are available to anyone who is interested.
Most of these stories about communism come from countries that were not communist, remnants of Cold War propaganda.
I find the most amusing those who speak openly against their homeland.

We had no foreign debt because our retarded dictator paid it all, by starving the country. We had no debt, and we had no food…

And the debt he repaid was just the debt he took a few years before, to build an outdated industry that went bankrupt soon after.

If there were no Russian empire Romania would still be Ottoman sandjak.

No it wouldn’t. While the Russians did help a few times, we did 90% of the fighting ourselves. And the Ottoman empire would have fallen with or without Russia.

It takes two for dance, we shouldnt point finger only on one side for this war.

By the same logic, when a rape occurs, we shouldn’t point the finger only at the rapist, right? Maybe Ukraine wore a short skirt, so poor Putin couldn’t handle it…

Russia is not European common enemy, newer was and newer will be.

Yes it is. It was during Napoleon’s time, during WW2, during the communism years, and it is again now.

It is more sad when people call for war and they dont know what war really is.

Yes, Putin and Russians called for war, thinking they would be celebrating in Kyiv in three days, but now they are stuck in a bloody war they cannot finish.

A scene depicts the assault on a Ukrainian army stronghold by two Russian servicemen. The location and names of the units are unknown.
The video shows a firefight with a Ukrainian serviceman defending the entrance to the dugout. A Ukrainian drone, later intercepted by a Russian drone, is also featured. The dugout was reportedly destroyed as a result of the battle, and one Russian soldier was wounded.

A russian soldier brags about stuffing explosives into children’s toys to murder Ukrainian kids, and calls it “having imagination.”

But some people in Europe still think that we should be friends with them…

As Russian infantry and equipment enter Pokrovsk along the E-50 highway, the Ukrainian army is also attempting to push its forces into the encircled city. The video shows several Ukrainian groups attempting to enter Pokrovsk. It is unknown whether the Ukrainian units succeeded, but they were attacked by Russian FPV drones from the "Irish" unit. The drones also struck a Ukrainian 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, a BTR-4E armored personnel carrier, and a pickup truck.

Rare footage of strikes by three Russian FAB-3000 bombs, each with a UMPK module, on the temporary deployment sites of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade of Ukraine and the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The video was filmed in Myrnohrad, Pokrovsky district, Donbas. The attack was carried out by a Russian Su-34 frontline fighter-bomber.

"If there were no Russian empire Romania would still be Ottoman sandjak." Based on what argument?

"Russia is not European common enemy, newer was and newer will be." Russia IS/WAS/WILL always be Europe's ENEMY. Argument? I think actions speak louder than words. They INVADED another European country, Ukraine, AND are threatening to invade other European countries such as Polen.

1. Argument is Russian armies in Romania and Bulgaria, during XIX. century, which liberated them from Ottoman rule with their help.

2. Could you quote when and where did Russian oficials stated that they will invade Poland. And when was Russia enemy of Europe? When they liberated Europe and fought Napoleon together with majority of European kingdoms? When they fought against Hitler?

Footage of the results of an attempted counterattack near Kupyansk by five BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles from the 116th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army. BMP-1s were produced in the USSR from 1966 to 1983. The BMPs were camouflaged in a forest belt on the northern outskirts of the village of Kupyansk-Uzlovaya, adjacent to the city of Kupyansk. The concentration of BMP-1s was discovered by Russian reconnaissance aircraft from the 6th Army of the "West" group of forces during aerial reconnaissance. After spotting the Ukrainian BMPs, they used unidentified FPV drones to strike them. Judging by the video, all Ukrainian BMPs of the 116th Separate Mechanized Brigade were destroyed.

Could you quote when and where did Russian officials stated that they will invade Ukraine?

Oh, they never did. They were actually ridiculing the warnings from the US about their invasion plans.

If you believe Russian officials on their words, you are beyond fixing.

And when was Russia enemy of Europe? When they liberated Europe and fought Napoleon together with majority of European kingdoms? When they fought against Hitler?

In both cases you mentioned, the Russians were allied with the UK against Europe. The Russians and the British feared a strong unified Europe.

Now that Europe is moving again, albeit slowly, towards unification, Russia started its aggressive moves again, because Russia is Europe’s main enemy.

At least the Brits are now Europe’s friends, and this bodes very ill for Russia, because they never won against Europe when they didn’t have the Brits at their side.

Mate, I am sorry but you are wrong, EU is loooong way from unified Europe. Main reason whay there is no unified Europe today is because no one trust no one. No one trusts and no one want strong Germany or strong UK or strong France or strong...that is European history. Same like on other continents and regions. Today they fear strong Russia but in future they will cooperate with Russia against some other babaroga (boogyman).

Scenes from a Russian unit patrolling the Dnieper River. The video also shows an attack by Ukrainian FPV drones on a Russian boat. It's worth noting that the unit is well-armed and uses shotguns to repel FPV drone attacks, which not all units currently have. The boat is also equipped with electronic warfare systems. The exact location of the battle is not disclosed.

Do you know how WWII started?
Germany attacked Poland on September 1 39, and 2 weeks later September 17 Russia (CCCP) did the same from the east side following Ribbentrop-Molotov pact between Stalin and Hitler.

"
The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact on 23 August 1939 included a secret protocol that divided territories of Poland between Germany and the Soviet Union.

The Soviets agreed to aid Germany in the event of France or Britain going to war with Germany over Poland and, in a secret protocol of the pact, the Germans and the Soviets agreed to divide Eastern Europe, including Poland, into two spheres of influence; the western 1/3 of the country was to go to Germany and the eastern 2/3 to the Soviet Union."

You can easily find a pictures of German and Soviet officers shaking hands in city Brest on the September 22 1939.

And then Russia invaded Finland on November 30 1939.
Yeah, such an ally and a friend.

And going back to THIS war

Latest part of "sanctions" against russia

Unfortunately you are right here. There is a lot of mistrust between European countries, and this is why the integration process is very slow, and why Russia and the US are able to bully Europe.

If Europe was truly united, it would be on an equal footing with the US and China, and would wipe the floor with Russia.

But hopefully, with time, Europeans will start to feel more as Europeans and less as Germans, French, Dutch, Romanians, etc.

The only way for Europe to regain its place in the world as a dominant power is to be united.

United we stand, divided we fall.
