I imagine pilots are being trained on Gripen C, enabling earlier EIS with Ukrainian air force after delivery (expected 2027).

It will be interesting to see what effect the introduction of a high lethality, long range A2A missile into the theatre will have on Russian tactics. If one or two Russian aircraft used to launch glide bombs are lost to Meteor, Russia may be forced to rethink its use of glide bomb attacks against Ukraine.

SAAB does not appear to be charging an inflated price for 20 Gripen E because the EU is indirectly funding the deal. Assuming the cost including training, support and weapons is around €2.5 billion, that does not look unreasonable.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine had earmarked €2.5 billion out of a €90 billion EU loan package for the planes. Deliveries of the new model are expected to reach Ukraine from 2030.
