Instead of upgrading Soviet BRDM-2, Vietnam MOD designed all new vehicle based on BRDM-2. According to several image, it equipped with 7.62mm, 12.7mm heavy machine gun and fully amphibious. In addition, next-gen reconnaissance vehicle of VPA also have been equipped state-of-the-art sensons mast
The vehicle is protected all-round against 7.62 mm rounds and additional armour can be added if the mission requires.

Besides importing Kamaz military trucks from Russia, our army also purchased Russian Ural miliatry trucks. We can see mass Ural truck at Chua Ve sea port, Hai Phong city

It's done. Feel free to start new threads in the subforum sections (Army, Navy, AF) too as you feel necessary, or keep them all in the main news threads for each. Its your choice.

I split the old thread roughly into the new 3 ones as well as I could (like coastal battery defence is technically army compared to navy etc) with some inevitable overlapping. Anything you want to be switched around, let me know.

Recently, the picture of next-gen ATGM have been revealed, TLCT-3 ( abrr TLCT = tên lửa chống tăng mean Anti tank guided missile) . It have the same external appearance as Israel's Spike missiles. AFAIK, Vietnam MoD plan to buy technology from Israel. This is fire-and-forget ATGM with tandem HEAT that can make top attack.

This is a new weapons program to equip our armed forces to defeat main battle tanks, battle bunker, small ships, ... from potential enemy. Currently, few countries can manufacture this type of weapon. Even the Russian have not announced it yet.

Learn to experience from Russian full-scale invaded Ukraine, low-cost ATGM still defeated light amoured, fortified shelters, .... Vietnamese are research low-cost ATGM, you can see image above
